Chapter 9 - 9. Two SSS Outfit Pulls (And One Makes Me Blush)

Lucian thought about this information. So the attack by the dragon wasn't random.

Someone had pissed it off and then left it to rampage across the countryside, and that was irresponsible for a douchebag who did it.

Lucian said, "Well, at least it's done now."

"And thank you for the free inn rooms and the gold... we really appreciate all of this!"

"Don't worry about it!" Aldric pointed to the middle of the village. "Please, come to the tavern."

"You must be starving from all that fighting, so we've started making a big meal."

When Aldric mentioned food, Lucian's stomach growled loudly, reminding him that he hadn't eaten a real meal since coming back to life. The roasted boar meat from earlier had helped, but it seemed like a long time ago.

"Now that's something I will take all day!" He said, "A feast sounds great."

"What are ya waiting for then?! Let's fucking go and eat lots!"

...

Lucian thought it was funny that the tavern was called The Lucky Boar because of what had happened recently. There was smoke coming from the chimney and warm light coming from the windows of the strong two-story building.

Everyone inside stood up and cheered when Lucian and Glacielle walked in.

"Look! It's the dragon slayers!"

"Three cheers for our heroes!"

"Hooray!"

Lucian thought. "Oh my god... they act like NPCs, and it's fucking embarrassing when you think about it..."

Lucian wanted to sink into the floor because he was so embarrassed, but Glacielle didn't seem to care at all. She just walked over to the table Aldric pointed to, sat down with perfect posture, and waited.

And of course, the amazing feast followed. Roasted chicken, fresh bread, vegetable stew, cheese, fruit, and lots of what the locals called "honey mead."

Lucian ate like he was going to die tomorrow, shoveling food into his mouth with the same excitement as someone who had spent twenty-seven years eating instant ramen.

Glacielle ate more carefully, but she still ate a lot of food. It seems that SSS-rank bikini warriors needed many calories. That explains her big tits and ass.

Lucian mumbled, "This is so good," with a mouthful of bread.

"I forgot what real food tastes like."

"Your old life was missing many things," Glacielle said as she carefully cut her chicken.

"You don't understand the full extent of it," Lucian remarked. "I lived on ramen and sadness."

"That doesn't sound like enough food..."

"Yeah... that's true, though..."

Lucian felt a familiar tingle as he ate and looked up to see a system window pop up.

[Congratulations on completing your first quest, Master!]

[You have proven yourself capable in combat and earned the respect of the local population. This is an excellent start to your new life!]

[However, your journey is only beginning. As the wielder of the SSS Gacha System, you have been chosen for a greater purpose.]

Lucian stopped in the middle of a bite. "More purpose...?"

"The fuck does that mean?"

[In this world, there exists a prophecy known to few. It speaks of a Master who will rise from nothing, gathering legendary bikini warriors to his side through means beyond normal comprehension. This Master will face trials that will shape the fate of nations.]

[And you... are that Master, Lucian Luxfall.]

[Your previous life was one of misfortune and mediocrity, but it taught you humility, perseverance, and the value of hope even in dark times. These lessons will serve you well in the challenges ahead.]

[Your purpose is to grow strong, to build bonds with your warriors, and to become someone who matters. Not for glory or wealth, but because this world needs heroes, and you have been given a second chance to be one.]

[Do not waste this opportunity. Make your second life count as the better version of your previous life.]

Lucian leaned back in his chair and forgot about the food. A prediction. A bigger goal. Becoming a hero.

It sounded like something from a web novel, but "RPG game" was more accurate to it, which made sense because of what was going on with him. But it hit him harder than he thought it would.

Ethan Cross had been a nobody in his past life. He didn't mean anything to anyone but maybe his mom, and even she was let down by how he turned out.

He died stupidly, without love, and without anyone missing him.

But as Lucian Luxfall, he could be a different person here. He might be someone who really mattered and someone who helped people and changed things.

The system was giving him that chance.

"Master?" Glacielle's voice brought him back to reality. "You seem upset..."

"Is everything okay?"

Lucian looked at her, this strong warrior who had promised to serve him, and felt a sense of determination fill his chest.

"Nope," he said. "Everything's fine."

"I was just thinking about what would happen next."

"What do you think?"

"I'm going to make it count this time," Lucian said with determination. "No more missing chances."

"I will become someone who matters. I'm going to become strong, help people, and make sure my second life is worth living!"

For a moment, Glacielle's blue eyes looked him over, and then she nodded. "I will help you reach this goal, Master."

"We will face whatever problems come our way together."

"Thanks, Glacielle."

They finished eating in a quiet, comfortable way. The other people in the tavern had gone back to talking to each other, which gave them some space.

Lucian felt really full for the first time in years when the last plate was taken away.

"Ahhhh~ I'm full..." He said, "That was the best meal I've ever had."

"Going forward, you should stick to a healthy diet," Glacielle said. "A master who is not getting enough food can't fight well."

"Yes, Mom," Lucian said with a smile.

Glacielle turned her head. "I'm not your mom."

"It's a joke," Lucian said, and then he stopped. "Actually, we should probably get you some new regular clothes to wear while you walk around."

"The bikini armor is great for fighting, but it gets too much attention."

"I still have the traveler's outfit," Glacielle said.

"Yes, but you need more colorful options!"

"I also have these outfit gacha tickets from the quest." Lucian opened his inventory and looked at the tickets. "Let's see what we can get you for your hard work fighting that dragon with me."

[Outfit Gacha Tickets: 2]

[Use tickets? Y/N]

"Yes, let's give it a shot."

The tickets were gone from his inventory, and two glowing orbs appeared on the table in front of him. They glowed softly for a moment before breaking open and showing what was inside.

[Congratulations! You received: Casual Summer Dress (SSS), Sleepwear Set - Silk Nightgown (SSS)]

Lucian looked at the things that had shown up, and he didn't feel surprised about the rank he got because he knew that his luck was EX.

The light blue sundress with white trim was simple but pretty, while the nightgown was a whole different story that surprised him the most.

It was made of black silk and was clearly made to be both comfortable and very sexy. The fabric looked like it would fit well in all the right places, and the neckline was low enough to be suggestive without being too obvious.

Just looking at it made his face turn red.

"Are these the new clothes?" Glacielle asked as she picked up the dress to look at it. "They look like they were made well."

"Y-Yeah...! They look lovely," Lucian said, trying not to think about Glacielle in that nightgown. "The dress would be great for strolling through the village."

"You're going to look not as obvious as the bikini armor."

"Understood. I'll change into it now."

"Wait, here?!"

But Glacielle had already turned on the dress-up mode. The light around her sparkled, and the summer dress took the place of her traveler's outfit.

It fit her perfectly, showing off her athletic figure while still looking casual and modest. She looked less like a deadly warrior and more like a normal young woman when she wore the dress.

Lucian's heart skipped a beat at how pretty she was with that new fit.

"Does it look okay?" Glacielle asked as she turned slightly to show different angles.

"You look se—fantastic," Lucian said, his voice sounding a little choked.

He cleared his throat. "I mean... uh... pretty good and very normal!"

"Okay... this will let us get through crowded areas without making a scene."
