Lucien stood on top of the tall tree while thinking of a plan.
He looked down at the forest below him. Thornback Treants were scattered everywhere. At first he did not know what to do.
Luckily, from the top of the tree he could clearly see where most of the Thornback Treants were standing.
After some time the creatures became quiet. Their bodies slowly stopped moving and they looked like ancient trees again.
Lucien realized they had fallen asleep.
This was his chance.
Lucien slowly hid his presence and climbed down from the tree. He already knew which direction to go because he had studied the area carefully while standing above.
He began running quietly through the forest while suppressing his presence.
Suddenly one Thornback Treant moved and tried to attack him.
Lucien quickly dodged the attack without stopping. He did not even look back and continued running.
After a short distance Lucien suddenly stopped.
Another Thornback Treant stood directly in front of him.
Lucien slowly tried to move backward while hiding his presence.
But another Thornback Treant was behind him.
He looked to the left.
Another one was there.
He looked to the right.
The same thing.
Lucien realized he had already been surrounded.
He had no choice but to fight.
Lucien rushed forward and started attacking the monsters. He threw several punches at them with full strength.
But the attacks did not slow them down at all.
The Thornback Treants continued moving forward. Their wooden bodies began slowly regenerating the damage he caused.
They kept attacking him, but Lucien was able to dodge every strike because the monsters were slow.
Lucien began thinking of a way to defeat them.
Then he remembered something.
He once read in a book that Thornback Treants have a core inside their bodies. If the core is destroyed, the monster dies.
Lucien immediately rushed toward one of them.
He punched directly into its chest.
The bark cracked open.
Inside he saw the glowing core.
Lucien pushed his hand into the monster's chest, pulled the core out, and crushed it instantly.
The Thornback Treant collapsed to the ground.
Lucien smiled.

After discovering their weakness, the fight became much easier.
Lucien began tearing through the monsters.
One after another he crushed their cores like they were nothing.
After defeating them, Lucien continued moving through the forest, trying to leave the Thornback Treants territory.
While moving forward he suddenly noticed another massive tree.
But this one felt different.
Lucien wanted to ignore it and continue walking.
Suddenly the tree roots shot out of the ground.
They wrapped around Lucien's leg and threw him backward.
Lucien stood up and looked at the enormous tree.
Oh I see. So you are the final boss here.
Before I realized it, leaving this place was never going to be easy.
But you will die in my hands.
Lucien suddenly disappeared.
The Thornback Treant King became confused.
In the next moment Lucien appeared high in the air.
He rushed toward the area where the core should be and punched with all his strength.
But when his fist struck the tree, he realized something was wrong.
The core was not there.
That was when Lucien understood.
This monster was not like the others he had killed.
This was the Thornback Treant King.
Lucien landed on the ground and began thinking of a way to defeat the monster.
Before he could come up with a plan, the Thornback Treant King attacked him.
Massive roots burst out of the ground and rushed toward Lucien.
Lucien quickly dodged the attacks again and again.
The monster continued attacking him without stopping.
At first Lucien did not understand what the Treant King was trying to do.
Then he realized something.
The roots were slowly surrounding him.
Soon Lucien was completely trapped inside the roots.
Lucien began punching the roots with incredible speed.
But every time he broke one, it regenerated again.
Lucien increased the speed of his punches.
He struck the same roots again and again so they could not regenerate fast enough.
Finally the roots shattered.
Lucien escaped the trap.
The moment Lucien rushed toward the Thornback Treant King again, the monster launched thousands of sharp wooden thorns.
The thorns flew through the air like bullets.
Lucien began dodging them as quickly as possible.
If he was distracted even for a moment, the thorns would seriously injure him.
While attacking with thorns, the Treant King also tried to trap Lucien again with its roots.
At that moment Lucien's future sight suddenly activated.
Lucien could see the attacks before they even happened.
His body moved at incredible speed.
He rushed forward like lightning.
Lucien threw another powerful punch toward the place where the core was supposed to be.

Lucien immediately changed direction and attacked the place where the core was moving to.

The core shattered.
The Thornback Treant King collapsed.

Back in the forest Lucien stood over the fallen monster.

Lucien slowly lay down on the ground.
I feel so tired now.
Just as he tried to rest, a sharp pain suddenly struck his head.
Lucien shouted in pain.
This hurts like hell.

Lucien stood up and left the forest.
He walked toward the Razorwing Hawks territory.
After traveling for a while he found a small cave.
Lucien entered the cave and decided to rest there for the night.
