Chapter 106 - Chapter 105: Spells and Sleeping Gas

"Father!" "Father!" "Father!"

For the past few days, every morning Basil woke up, he would hear this chant.

Then, Tedros's giant face would appear in his vision.

Followed by the respectful offering of a complete set of toiletries.

The surrounding roommates—other princes—would watch with reverence, like believers beholding their deity.

It was enough to drain every ounce of joy Basil had accumulated over the past few days.

Every time this happened, he would tell Tedros, "I am not your father. Why don't you go find Agatha? Or just treat me like air, like you do at night?"

Tedros's answer was always the same: "At night, I do not wish to disturb your rest. I call to you now because I saw your eyelids flutter, a sign you were about to wake."

As for Agatha, he avoided the topic entirely.

Madison had a unique take on this: "He's probably one of those boys raised with a traditional British education. Discussing girls with one's father is something a traditional gentleman just doesn't do. Especially if it's a girl he likes."

However, even with the massive headache that was Tedros, Basil was having a blast at the academy.

Compared to Hogwarts, where he had at least two classes every weekday, the School for Good sometimes didn't have a single class all day.

Even when there were classes, they were short—just an hour and a half.

And the content seemed completely unrelated to magic.

Etiquette, grooming, fencing, archery.

It was basically all P.E. and finishing school.

Strangely enough, even though nothing he did seemed magical, the substance this world called "magic" was taking deep root inside Basil, growing more robust by the day.

He was just waiting for the Piercing Ritual.

Once that happened, his power would fully awaken. It might even show up in his character stats.

Then, he would have the massive energy reserves needed for the [Dragon of Good and Evil] form.

Basil's intuition told him this was highly likely.

This was the wondrous "Second Sight" or "Inner Eye" that wizards from the Harry Potter world sometimes developed.

One morning, while sipping crimson soup from a spoon, amidst the chopped basil leaves, he had a vision: he saw himself transformed into a giant red dragon, soaring above the towers. In his scorching dragon fire, Rafal struggled and screamed before being burned to ash.

Seeing Rafal's destined death allowed Basil, who had been constantly on edge, to finally relax.

Back at Hogwarts, Basil had suppressed his nature, forcing himself to stay in the library. Now, he could finally let go and have some fun.

Especially since the School for Good was breathtakingly beautiful, like a paradise on earth. It added a layer of cozy contentment to his days.

But scenery alone wasn't enough to make Basil this happy.

After all, Beatrice was strictly "look but don't touch."

A gorgeous girl, dressing up in different styles for him every day—even trying out the dark, gothic look of the School for Evil—made Basil want to take things further.

If not for Madison, Basil might have gotten himself expelled before Rafal even lifted a finger.

Madison, true to her self-introduction, was indeed experienced. She claimed to have watched countless "films" and boasted about her skills. Though a bit rusty at first, after getting familiar, she displayed professional-level technique that would make even veteran adult stars nod in approval.

Having a big mouth really was an advantage.

Of course, as an upstanding young man with high moral standards, Basil didn't just indulge in physical activities.

He kept up with the club group chat—basically their designated shitposting channel—and faithfully started club activities every night at 9 PM.

He even specifically started a Quidditch session, planning to show off the superior flying skills he'd learned from Harry and Draco to Madison and Sophie.

Unfortunately, he was the only actual Harry Potter wizard there.

Sophie and Madison, despite possessing what their worlds called "magic," were essentially Muggles by HP standards.

Luckily, unlike the game mechanics, the club activity didn't require team participation to succeed; it depended on individual performance.

In the end, he easily secured 60 Club Badges.

Just as Basil expected them to cheer for him, Sophie and Madison had a meltdown.

"So close!"

"My Legendary Card!"

Only then did Basil realize why they had stopped after redeeming one Epic (purple) card.

They were saving up for a Legendary (gold) card.

The two of them were overflowing with resentment.

The next day, Sophie's roommate, Hester—the one who could summon a dragon—sported a black eye on the left side. Basil, meanwhile, looked listless, as if he had been practicing "time management" all night with zero sleep.

However, that same day, Basil finally encountered the "Spells Class" that wasn't in the movie but had been mentioned by Captain Hook's son, Hort.

This class was attended by both princes and princesses.

Sophie was there too, sitting next to Agatha.

Both Tedros and Sophie looked gloomy.

In the group chat, Madison was spamming messages like crazy.

Madison: "Spells Class? What on earth are they teaching you?"

Madison: "I'm at my school now."

Madison: "You guys won't believe this. Queenie—the one with the pathetic job I mentioned—is Black!"

Madison: "It's so annoying! She's a living voodoo doll. Just by looking at you, she can transfer her injuries to your body."

Madison: "Just like Basil said, Cordelia teaches us basically nothing except history. We have to learn from books ourselves."

Madison: "That damn Latin gives me a headache."

Madison: "But guess what? There's a Resurrection Spell!"

Madison: "I really want to try resurrecting a puppy or something, maybe awaken my 'Vitalum Vitalis' power early."

Madison: "But looking at the ritual... stitching the body together, drawing a circle around it with bone dust, inhaling the smoke of some unknown burnt powder, then drawing a hexagram on the chest with witch's blood."

Madison: "And chanting loudly: 'Calpriziana, offina alta nestra, fuero menut.'"

Madison: "'Azazel, Lord of the Underworld.'"

Madison: "'We surrender our bodies and souls to you.'"

Madison: "'We obey you.'"

Madison: "'Serve you eternally, until death purifies this sinful flesh.'"

Madison: "Then repeat 'Berald, Beroald, Balbin, Gab, Gabor, Agaba' four times."

Madison: "Finally, scream: 'Return to the mortal world, arise!'"

Sophie couldn't help but reply. She had planned to ignore Madison until class was over.

Sophie: "You really are a witch. Not the 'pretty girl who does magic' kind."

Sophie: "Look at that chant. It's obviously related to devils and demons."

Madison: "So, maybe my world is actually the most dangerous one? Does that mean Heaven and Hell are real here?"

Madison: "Reading the Bible... God isn't exactly a benevolent deity."

Madison: "Am I going to Hell?"

Basil: "You really do have a Hell there. If you astrally project or die, a witch's soul gets trapped in a personal hell."

Basil: "It's made up of your most hated, terrifying life moments."

Basil: "Unless you have a strong will, your soul can't return to your body and eventually turns to dust."

Basil: "As for deities of death... the only one who appears in the show is Papa Legba."

Basil: "A Loa from West African and Haitian Voodoo."

Basil: "The current Voodoo Queen, Marie Laveau, gained immortality by offering him a pure soul every year. She can even curse others with immortality."

Madison: "Holy shit!"

Madison went silent in the chat.

Meanwhile, Spells Class officially began.

The professor for the School for Good was a guy wearing a turban, looking suspiciously like Quirrell.

The room had a very Divination-classroom vibe—filled with swirling white smoke, giving off a strong charlatan aura.

"Everyone, you may call me Professor Roché."

You really are just Quirrell in disguise, aren't you!

"You have not yet been endowed with magic. Unlike the Nevers."

"As descendants of witches, evil sorcerers, werewolves, vampires, and other villains, they mostly possess some magic."

"Some even have structured systems."

"Of course, it cannot compare to Finger Glow."

"But it makes them more familiar with magic."

"As for you, the Evers—princes and princesses—most of you have never possessed it."

"Princes hone their swordsmanship and archery. Princesses do not learn magic from fairy godmothers but seek finer clothes and accessories."

"So, in this class, I will bridge the gap between Good and Evil. Letting Good take the upper hand."

He pointed behind him, into the swirling mist.

The fog parted.

A large copper basin sat there, burning with purple flames fueled by unknown herbs and flower stems.

"Everyone, take a deep breath. Close your eyes."

"Search for the stirring deep within your hearts."

"Having come to the School for Magic, you already possess unique talents."

"Come, relax."

The students sitting on cushions closed their eyes.

Basil was among them.

As the white smoke filled his nostrils, every inch of his muscle relaxed.

His consciousness followed suit.

He could break free from this sensation at any time.

Logically, he should be cautious, stay awake, and not lose consciousness in a school where Rafal was present.

But his subconscious told him everything was fine.

His mystical "Inner Eye" agreed.

So, cooperating with the process, his consciousness felt like it was sinking into a swamp.

A warm swamp made of soft, smooth female bodies.

Sinking deeper, deeper...

Until a voice said, "Alright, class dismissed."

He woke up.

His body felt unchanged, just a bit more refreshed.

Like he had just woken up from a deep sleep.

The so-called Spells Professor had already left the room.

What the hell? He says dismissed, and it's actually dismissed?

He didn't even wake them up.

It was dark outside now.

Other students had fallen off their cushions, sleeping in disarray.

Judging by the peaceful classroom, no one had awakened any unique talents.

He casually pushed away the softness of Beatrice, who was pressing firmly against his nose and mouth.

Ahem, Beatrice definitely snuggled up to him on her own.

He crooked his pinky finger, a faint light flashed, and the cleaning charm removed the trace of saliva from his robes.

He sat up straight, acting as if nothing had happened.

On the group chat.

Madison: "Where are you guys?"

Madison: "It's 9 PM. Time for club activities!"

Madison: "You both know this is important to me."

Madison: "I need more Legendary and Epic cards to protect myself and learn stronger magic."

Private Message:

Madison: "Sweetie, same as usual?"

Madison: "Master, your slave wants to be punished."

Then came a few photos that violated public decency standards (she posted some in the public chat too, just to keep Sophie from getting suspicious).

After viewing them with a critical, artistic eye, Basil replied.

Basil: "Look at this." He attached a photo of the classroom.

Madison: "You guys got high?"

Basil: "The Piercing Ritual isn't for another week."

Basil: "Right now, they seem to be using inhaled mist drugs to put us into deep sleep."

Basil: "Trying to excavate talents born after arriving at the academy."

Basil: "But obviously, it's useless."

Basil: "In the original plot, during the battle with the School for Evil, the Good students didn't use any magic. They relied on swords, shields, and bows."

Basil: "Maybe the Evil school's Spell Class is more useful?" Basil guessed. "Wait, people are waking up. Sophie should be up soon too."

Private Message: "Date canceled."

Public Chat: "You can head to the club first. Wear more clothes this time. Today I want to try Herbology."

"Mmm~" Beatrice rubbed her eyes theatrically, tilting her head and making a cute noise.

"What's wrong with me? I feel a bit... wet." Her hand brushed against an indescribable area.

But she felt dry and refreshed, without even the sticky feeling of sweat.

She didn't have time to think about it, though.

Her waking seemed to be a signal.

The sleeping princes and princesses began to wake up one after another.

The room started to get noisy.

Sophie was among them.

She pushed away Agatha, who was glued to her (Tedros happily caught Agatha as she woke up in a daze, and they locked eyes in a pink, romantic atmosphere). Sophie fixed her hair, shot a glare at Beatrice as usual, and opened the club chat.

She scrolled through the messages.

Then she replied: "Everyone's awake. We'll start the club activity in about 15 minutes."

The corner of her mouth curled up. This meant Basil would have to separate from Beatrice for now.

In the academy, to avoid alerting Rafal's potential surveillance, they entered the club space mentally.

To keep their sleeping bodies safe, they usually chose their dorms.

And girls couldn't enter the boys' dorms.

This was completely different from the Hogwarts rules Madison described—where girls could enter boys' dorms, but boys couldn't enter girls' dorms.

As it turned out, Sophie was still too naive.

In her view, Basil gently rubbed his temples and lay feebly in Beatrice's arms.

He said, "I'm still a bit dizzy. Can I sleep for a while?"

And Beatrice, that little bitch, nodded eagerly, obviously unable to wait.

Sophie could only swallow her grievances, leave Agatha, and head to her dorm in the School for Evil.

She couldn't get angry.

Basil was doing this for her own good. Beatrice was playing the role of the original plot's 'Agatha'.

See? Because of this, Rafal hadn't shown up once since enrollment.

Clearly, Rafal thought that in this state, she would turn dark without his interference.

Basil's plan was a huge success.

Achoo! inside the high tower, Rafal rubbed his nose.

"Why is someone talking about me? I was planning to lay low for another few hundred years."

——

Fifteen minutes later, after chatting with her roommates and hearing a long diatribe trashing the School for Good, Sophie finally got into bed.

She arrived in the club space.

Inside, Basil was sitting upright.

That loose slut! Madison was wearing flimsy sleepwear again, sitting pressed up against Basil.

Teasing him with words and touches every now and then.

"I think we can start the club activity now," Sophie said viciously.

Gone was her harmless little lamb act.

She was starting to give off vibes of her dark turn later in the movie.

She narrowed her eyes with malicious intent, looking Madison up and down at her exposed skin. "You shameless little tramp, dressing like that. I sincerely wish for poisonous spiders to crawl happily all over your body. May tongues of fire scorch your tender skin."
