Chapter 85 - Chapter 85: Forbidden Magic Bullet, Quirrell will clear the obstacles for his master

Deep in the Forbidden Forest.

Lucien looked at the cluster of pure fire floating in front of Lumina and murmured,

"The qilin horn cannot be processed by magic, and ordinary tools cannot cut it."

"But it's like searching for a candle with a lantern, it turns out…"

"Pure fire can melt the qilin horn."

In that cluster of crimson-gold flames, a short horn like white jade was encased.

And Lumina's forehead was already completely bald.

Over the past few days, Lumina had finished shedding both of its horns.

However, Lucien figured that one qilin horn would be enough for now, as he wasn't even sure if making it into a bullet was feasible.

The remaining one could be saved for later; perhaps it would have other uses.

Lucien glanced at the round-headed Lumina.

It looked better with horns; fortunately, it was just shedding, and they should grow back in a few days.

He shifted his gaze back to the pure fire engulfing the qilin horn.

Under the high-temperature scorching of the compressed crimson-gold flames, the surface of the qilin horn gradually softened.

Finally, droplets began to peel off the qilin horn.

They dispersed within the fire cluster, still maintaining their molten state.

Lucien took out a mold with holes of various sizes.

He needed to test how much volume or mass of the qilin horn could still retain its anti-magic effect.

He placed the mold on the ground, letting Lumina control the melted droplets to fall into the holes one by one.

After collecting them, Lucien had Lumina continue melting.

He then began his experiments.

The method was simple: just test them one by one while wearing a Shield Charm.

Finally, Lucien picked up a qilin horn bead.

"Hmm, this size is enough to make a bullet head."

But he still had to try; the anti-magic effect of the qilin horn was within a one-centimeter range.

If he wanted to combine it with Billywig Sting Extract, he wondered if the explosive effect could still be achieved, or if it would be nullified?

The main materials for this Alchemy potion were Billywig Sting Extract and Acromantula venom; both the materials themselves and the finished potion contained magic.

During the expansion and explosion, it would inevitably come into contact with the bullet head made of qilin horn. Would it still produce its original effect then?

Lucien threw the qilin horn beads into the pure fire in front of Lumina, continuing to melt them.

He then entered the golden gourd used for Alchemy.

This time, he stayed longer.

He needed to design the bullet's structure and forge its mold.

And neither the mold nor the bullet itself could be conjured directly using magic like Transfiguration.

Otherwise, the moment it touched the qilin horn, the magic would be dispelled, and it would revert to its original form.

Lucien, however, was enjoying himself.

The greater the qilin horn's restriction on magic, the more surprisingly effective it would be.

The more magic the bullet head made from it could break, the more enemies he could deal with.

By the time Lucien emerged from the gourd, Lumina had just finished melting that qilin horn.

He placed the new mold on the ground, and the flowing jade-colored droplets gradually filled the mold.

Only after everything had cooled did Lucien remove the bullet heads.

He assembled a brand new bullet.

Except for the white-jade bullet head, the rest was bronze-colored.

Through a special structure, Lucien still managed to incorporate the Billywig Sting Extract.

"Let's keep it simple; I'll just call it the Anti-magic Bullet."

"I hope it still works. If the explosive effect isn't good, or even fails completely, I'll consider other options."

Or, would a purely anti-magic bullet work?

Ordinary bullets simply lacked the power to shatter a Wizard's protective measures, but a bullet head made of qilin horn could.

"Hmm, as long as one hits, a normal person, whether Wizard or Muggle, will feel excruciating pain and find it difficult to maintain their original mobility."

"Moreover, if the qilin horn were truly embedded within a Wizard's body, it should also affect the circulation of magic."

He would try it when he had a chance.

Lucien pulled out his brass-colored Transfiguration pocket watch; after infusing it with magic, the watch hand pointed to the revolver icon.

As he loaded the bullets into the chambers, he sighed,

"Fortunately, Transfiguration items, after being solidified with magic, can resist the qilin horn's anti-magic effect for a certain period, and won't be immediately de-transformed."

"Otherwise, I wouldn't even be able to load the bullets into the revolver, let alone fire it."

Lucien had not only tried using the qilin horn to dispel solidified Transfiguration items but also tried putting it into items with an Undetectable Extension Charm.

It was likely due to a similar principle; with the additional magic solidification, the Spatium Extendere would not be immediately dispelled by the qilin horn.

And he didn't know if it was because the space was expanded, but the qilin horn had very little effect on Spatium Extendere containers.

That was good; it made it convenient to carry anti-magic bullets, and he didn't need to specifically put them away before entering an Spatium Extendere space.

Lucien aimed at a large rock.

"Bang!"

After the dust settled.

Lucien walked to the boulder to observe.

The explosion range was much smaller, but for a human target, it was still sufficient.

"Hmm, the corrosive effect wasn't as strong as before either."

Was it because the qilin horn bullet head still affected the Billywig Sting Extract?

But again, for dealing with people, it was enough.

Lucien's fingertips caressed the bullet casing.

Using Billywig Sting Extract bullets regularly, the explosive power was enough to handle many situations.

When encountering something tricky, he would intersperse them with anti-magic bullets.

To create an unexpected effect.

Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor's office.

Quirrell was practicing his lecture content while stirring his magic.

A silent, eerie, hoarse whisper emanated from his throat, yet it didn't affect Quirrell's normal speech.

"Master, your foolish servant has finally learned the Dark Arts you bestowed upon him…"

"That's enough. If you haven't learned it by now, after all this time, heh…"

Hearing Lord Voldemort's cold voice, Quirrell felt a sharp pain in the back of his head and immediately became even more humble,

"Yes, the Dark Arts you developed are too powerful. It is an honor for someone like me to learn even a fraction of it."

He paused, then Quirrell asked with some hesitation,

"Master, when I use this Dark Arts, I need to maintain stable magic."

"What if, what if that brat Lucien discovers something abnormal and forcefully interrupts me…"

Lord Voldemort's impatient voice rang out again,

"Fool! I told you before, without delving into Dark Arts, without extremely high Dark Arts talent, how could a young Wizard perceive it?"

"Yes, yes, my Master, it's just, what if, what if that boy really has talent in that area, that strange laugh last time…"

However, Quirrell's thought was not fully expressed.

"Enough! Talent? Are you implying his Dark Arts talent is higher than mine?"

"This is a curse I developed!"

Lord Voldemort's words were cold and grating, after experiencing the pain of a fractured soul and the backlash of the Killing Curse.

His temperament became increasingly twisted without him realizing it, sometimes calm, sometimes manic!

If it weren't for the need to conserve strength now, if he hadn't lost his body, if he didn't still have a use for Quirrell…

Quirrell would have died long ago for daring to question him like that!

Quirrell immediately felt a needle-like pain, and the back of his head alternated between scorching heat and icy cold.

Tormented in this way, he was forced to prostrate himself on the floor, his body bent like a cooked shrimp, trembling incessantly.

Unsure if it was a few seconds or a few minutes, Quirrell groaned in pain,

"Great, great Master, please, please forgive my cowardice and ignorance…"

"Tomorrow, tomorrow during the remedial class, I will cast the first curse…"

"To, to clear, clear obstacles for you…"
