Chapter 83 - Chapter 83 Wizard, the ultimate Chimera?

In the classroom that the Room of Requirement had transformed into.

After listening to Lucien's words, Ron was lost in thought.

As a member of the Weasley, Ron's family were all Wizards, all capable of magic.

No one would think that the ability to use magic itself was particularly remarkable.

Ron's older brothers, some were good at spell-breaking, some possessed superb Quidditch talent... The twins were excellent at pranks and were very popular among their classmates.

Among the Weasley Family sons, Ron was the only one who seemed the most ordinary.

Ron had never thought that, as it turned out, being able to use magic was already a very remarkable thing.

"Is learning itself a blessing?"

"Yes."

Lucien nodded, his eyes serious.

"Learning quickly or slowly is normal; what's important is the act of acquiring knowledge itself."

"And honestly, you have a talent for Alchemy Mechanical; you grasp theories very quickly."

"As for Transfiguration, I am confident I can teach you."

Hearing Lucien's words, Ron was somewhat incredulous.

"You, you said, I have, have talent in Alchemy Mechanical?"

It was the first time Ron had ever heard someone praise him for having talent in something!

The first time!

Seeing Ron's joyful expression, Lucien understood that encouraging education was effective.

But that wasn't enough; children of this age, besides appropriate encouragement, also needed suitable prodding.

"You are learning Alchemy Mechanical and Transfiguration all for the sake of Alchemy Mechanical."

"This is where your interest lies, this is the goal you've set, so don't give up easily."

"I don't want to hear 'I won't learn' again, do you understand?"

Hearing Lucien's suddenly serious tone, Ron immediately shivered.

"Y-yes, I understand!"

"Good, now back to Transfiguration."

Lucien snapped his fingers.

"When casting Transfiguration, or rather, when casting magic, never hesitate, don't think about what to do if the magic fails, don't think about what to do if the wand is unsuitable and doesn't work..."

"magic is certainty, it is belief, believing that you can definitely cast it."

"Forget your worries, forget your anxieties, conceive of this magic with your whole heart..."

Ron listened to Lucien's guidance while attempting to cast Transfiguration.

Even Harry, who had finished his test paper, was listening attentively nearby.

This was a universal core of spell-casting; he couldn't possibly miss it.

Seeing Ron continuously attempting Transfiguration, the matchstick gradually acquired the characteristics of a silver needle.

Lucien nodded slightly; truthfully, Ron's talent couldn't be changed, and his wand probably couldn't be replaced anytime soon.

However, this world's magic was idealistic.

A Wizard's own emotions and beliefs greatly influenced the casting of magic.

Someone who is always self-doubting, hesitant, and insecure cannot become an excellent Wizard.

This thing is actually not like Muggle subjects such as mathematics and physics, where if you don't know it, you just don't know it, and even if you desperately hypnotize yourself into believing you can learn it, it's useless.

But with magic, believing you can do it actually works.

That's why Lucien wanted to help Ron build some confidence, using his interest in Alchemy Mechanical to guide him in learning and trying.

Hmm, but the wand's influence is still significant.

The incompatibility between the wand and Ron cannot be changed for now, but if the wand's damage could be repaired, reducing that influence...
