Chapter 64 - Chapter 64 Love makes Banban live longer, pregnant unicorn

Lucien glanced at Scabbers in Ron's hand, and a question arose.

"Ron, do you carry this pet rat with you every day?"

"Yeah, Scabbers is very old, and I have to take care of him all the time."

As he spoke, Ron gently stroked Scabbers' head, but the latter remained listless and sleepy.

Ron's expression and actions made Lucien's gaze even more peculiar.

"Very old? How old is Scabbers?"

Ron looked up and thought for a moment.

"Well, he's been with our family for 12 years, anyway."

Lucien was silent for a few seconds, then said:

"A house rat living this long must be quite rare…"

"Yeah, but my mom says it's the magic of love that makes Scabbers live so long."

This almost made Lucien lose his composure, but thankfully, he was professionally trained and didn't laugh.

magic, isn't it amazing!

Is it because of the existence of magic that Wizards are so accepting of strange phenomena?

Watching Ron pull out a biscuit and feed it to Scabbers, Lucien imperceptibly shook his head.

I hope you still love him this much after Scabbers turns into a bald, short man.

There's no need to expose Pettigrew's true form, Peter Pettigrew, for now. When I reach the Animagus stage, he'll be a perfect subject for reference research.

An Animagus who has maintained his transformation for over a decade is not common.

Moreover, Peter Pettigrew is an unregistered Animagus, and given his betrayal back then, he wouldn't dare seek help.

Once I teach Ron alchemical machinery and we get to know each other better, borrowing Scabbers for a few days should be no problem.

Deep in the Forbidden Forest.

Lucien walked with Lumina in the moonlight and shadows of the trees.

"Lumina, can you sense the Unicorn from last time or its kind?"

Lucien was thinking of finding the Unicorn, recording some data, and then sending it with a letter to Newt.

If Newt believes I have some understanding of magical creatures, then I should be able to try to exchange for Erumpent Fluid to make the "Late Truth" explosive potion.

Of course, if I encounter other magical creatures first, I can record them first and pay off the growth loan later.

"Master, I found it."

"Oh, where?"

However, as soon as Lucien finished speaking.

Two swift silver-white shadows passed through the trees and stopped a few meters from Lucien.

Lucien watched the two Unicorns stand before him, their silver-white coats appearing even more ethereal in the moonlight.

One was likely the Unicorn he saw last time, while the other was relatively smaller, with a more slender and shorter horn on its forehead, and less distinct spiral patterns.

Oh, it seems this is a female Unicorn, and they must be mates.

The male Unicorn he had seen before approached first, with its mate following close behind.

As they drew near, both Unicorns simultaneously bowed their heads gently towards Lumina.

Lucien had already begun to pull out paper and pen to record the Unicorn's information.

Not long into his recording, Lucien noticed the moonlight on his paper was blocked by a shadow.

Looking up, the female Unicorn's large head was close, looking at the paper in his hand with interest.

"Uh, Lumina, can Unicorns understand human writing?"

"Master, Asterion says they don't understand, it's just that Seleneia is pregnant, so she's very curious about many things."

"Asterion? Seleneia? You named these two Unicorns?"

"Yes, Master, isn't it more convenient to call them that, and they seem to really like these names!"

Lucien looked at Lumina with some surprise, not expecting the Lumina to have learned to name things in such a short time.

Should I say it's worthy of being a divine beast? Its innate intelligence is very high.

It seems that the things I taught it have been mostly mastered, so a new teaching plan can begin.

Lucien then looked at the female Unicorn, Seleneia.

She's already pregnant with a baby? Does a Unicorn's curiosity grow stronger during pregnancy?

Lucien noted this on the paper.

"Lumina, can you ask them what they usually like to eat, and what their habitual behaviors are?"

"It would be best to also ask what changes Seleneia has experienced after becoming pregnant?"

Lumina immediately acted as a translator between humans and magical creatures.

Lucien quickly recorded this rare and valuable information; most people likely couldn't understand these habits of Unicorns.

Especially the special changes in pregnant Unicorns.

Phew, the intelligence of magical creatures like Unicorns is also quite high. Unlike most magical creatures, even with Lumina helping me translate, I wouldn't be able to communicate like this; they would only be able to answer simple questions based on their instincts.

After finishing the recording, Lucien called out to the system:

"System, can this Unicorn data be considered a record of magical creature observation?"

"Relatively complete, but the sample size is insufficient. Please record more individuals of the species."

The system's answer didn't discourage Lucien; it was just a casual attempt anyway.

Unicorns are solitary magical creatures, only gathering with their mates to reproduce.

Even if Asterion and Seleneia were willing to lead him to other members of their kind, it would probably take a long time.

Lucien put away his paper and pen and looked at Seleneia.

He took out a small bottle from his pocket, extracted a drop of qilin saliva, and used his wand to make it fly in front of Seleneia.

Lumina's qilin saliva possesses extremely strong healing abilities; after feeding it to Aragog, he felt more vital.

Perhaps this substance also has nourishing effects. Let's see how Seleneia reacts.

However, Lucien saw that Seleneia swallowed the drop of qilin saliva with almost no hesitation.

The silver-white patterns on her abdomen visibly brightened, then became more intricate.

"Thank you very much."

"Master, Asterion and Seleneia asked me to convey this to you. Seleneia says she feels the baby in her belly is stronger."

Lucien nodded; it seemed his conjecture was correct.

"Master, do you need me to spit a little more for them?"

"Not yet!"

Lumina's suggestion made Lucien's vision go dark.

A Unicorn and Unicorn, both inherently sacred and ethereal, spitting in the moonlight.

He couldn't even imagine how beautiful that scene would be!

After the pair of Unicorns bid farewell and departed.

Lucien continued to traverse the Forbidden Forest, searching for the last magical creature.

"Master, there's a creature approaching from that direction."

Lucien looked in the direction Lumina indicated, simultaneously raising his wand slightly.

"Lucien Grafton, the unknowing future, Lord of the Unicorn…"

"Centaur Firenze, I extend my greetings to you."
