History of Magic Class.
Lucien gently flipped through his History of Magic textbook.
Suddenly, Professor Binns, the teacher of this course, floated directly through the blackboard and into the classroom.
Yes, Professor Binns was a ghost.
It was rumored that this Professor had been teaching History of Magic since the founding of Hogwarts.
Of course, at that time, he was still a human.
It was just that one time during class, he forgot to bring his physical body, and since then, he had become a ghost.
Lucien always couldn't help but wonder, Professor Binns had been able to remain in his position, on one hand, because he was indeed knowledgeable, with ancient historical facts at his fingertips, and even he himself had become a part of history.
But on the other hand, was it also because employing a ghost meant not having to pay a salary?
"In my class, I only state facts!"
When Professor Binns lectured, his voice had no emotional fluctuations.
This voice, like an old vacuum cleaner, made the young Wizards nod frequently, as if they had been hit by a Sleeping Charm.
Terry, yawning repeatedly, saw Lucien resting his chin on his hand, listening to the dry history with great interest, and was immediately astonished:
"Lucien, don't you find it boring?"
"Not really."
In Lucien's opinion, the reason History of Magic was considered boring was this:
On one hand, history, apart from some "unofficial histories" or official histories that sounded rather wild, was mostly quite dry.
And Professor Binns, of all people, only talked about "facts," never mentioning the relatively interesting myths and legends.
On the other hand, young Wizards were used to teachers occasionally showing off amazing magic during class.
But ghosts could no longer use complex magic, and this purely theoretical lecture was as torturous as Quirrell's Defense Against the Dark Arts Class.
Seeing Terry also starting to nod off, Lucien whispered, as if speaking to him, yet also to himself:
"History is also a very important knowledge. Sometimes, when you don't understand what's happening now, flipping through history books might help you find similar references."
"Perhaps magic is progressing, but what major changes have Wizards undergone?"
"History of Magic is, after all, still driven by Wizards."
...
The History of Magic Class finally ended, and Professor Binns exited directly through the blackboard.
Most young Wizards didn't even realize class was over, still in a half-asleep state.
Lucien picked up his textbook and left the classroom.
After walking a few steps, he called out to the young Witch ahead:
"Hermione, aren't you waiting for Harry and Ron?"
Hermione shook her head, her thick, bushy brown hair swaying precariously.
"I tried calling them just now, but Harry was muttering 'Runespoor venom needs to boil for five minutes before adding,' and Ron kept shouting about fish and chips, chicken legs, and meatballs. Neither of them woke up when I called."
Hearing this, Lucien smiled faintly.
It seemed Harry was still studying very hard, so much so that he was reciting the homework he had assigned even in his dreams.
Ron, well, that child looked very healthy.
"Yesterday, I was chatting with Harry, and he mentioned the Cerberus to me again, but he had forgotten which room it was in..."
Hermione suddenly looked at Lucien warily,
"Lucien, that creature is very dangerous! Even if you have that kind of magical healing potion, you shouldn't approach it rashly!"
Oh, this little girl was quite alert, worthy of being the early leader of the Golden Trio.
And did she also consider qilin saliva a healing potion? This was probably a normal person's reaction.
A few days ago, he saw Ron secretly asking Fang for a bottle of saliva. Forget it, he should find an opportunity to remind him to throw it away.
"No, I just thought it was normal for you all to forget the route, after all, you were very panicked at the time."
This, on the contrary, made Hermione unhappy. The little girl snorted softly,
"I didn't forget! From the Trophy Room, turn right, go up the stairs, and when the stairs turn..."
Listening to Hermione babble on, describing the route to the Cerberus's room, Lucien smiled and nodded.
They were still children, and he had the information he needed.
He would go find the Cerberus to borrow some blood to refine an adhesive.
Then he could start making and assembling the forms of mechanical animals.
Hmm, the Cerberus was also a magical creature, but unfortunately, there was only one upstairs, not a group.
As an observation subject, the data recorded would also be incomplete.
He had already recorded three magical creatures: the Mooncalf, the Diricawl, and the Acromantula. He still needed two more to pay off his pet growth loan.
Thanks to the animal affinity brought by the Lumina, this task had become much easier to complete.
He should pay off this loan as soon as possible.
He could also write to Newt to ask if he could exchange some Erumpent's Exploding Fluid from him.
After creating the "Delayed Truth" potion, he could then try to develop special Alchemy bullets together.
"Hey, speaking of which, Lucien, Harry seems to have a very good relationship with you lately."
Lucien nodded casually,
"Yes, it's quite good. He asked me for some knowledge."
"No wonder, I've seen him holding small cards and reciting things even while eating these past few days."
Hermione paused, then asked with a hint of anticipation:
"By the way, Lucien, are you going to the library to read this weekend?"
Facing Hermione's invitation, Lucien thought for a moment.
These days, he needed to try Alchemy, whether it was mechanical animals or special bullets, all required practical operation.
He might not actually have time to go to the library.
"If I have time, you'll run into me. I'm leaving now."
"Also, your memory is excellent."
After saying that, Lucien waved goodbye, preparing to go to the Forbidden Forest again to randomly find a lucky magical creature.
Even though it was a compliment to her, and Lucien's tone was very sincere, Hermione still felt strange.
...
Forbidden Forest.
Lucien held a fluffy, round ball, weighed it, and then tossed it up.
"Guji—"
A soft sound came from the round ball.
Lucien simultaneously operated two quills, one was rapidly recording:
Puffskein.
Body is spherical, covered in soft fur.
Gentle in nature, will not resist even when thrown around...
And on another piece of paper was written:
"Dear Mr. Newt Scamander:
I am Lucien Grafton. Thank you for clarifying my questions regarding the Undetectable Extension Charm.
Regarding the stabilization of solidified magic, I have mastered it, but in terms of spatial expansion...
...Also, I might need Erumpent's Exploding Fluid when making an Alchemy item recently. I wonder if you might..."
He sealed the letter, put it into a small satchel, and hung it around the Lumina's neck.
"Luke, knowing the address, can you Apparate directly there?"
Lucien asked this because when a Wizard uses Apparition to a place they haven't been before, it's easy to Splinch.
Although Luke's Apparition skills far surpassed human Wizards, Lucien still specifically asked.
"Don't worry, Master, no problem. At most, there might be a slight error. I'll try a few more times when I get there, or if it's not far, I'll just fly over."
Lucien stroked the Unicorn's head,
"Hmm, when you go to deliver the letter tonight, be careful, go early and come back early."
"Also, remember to be polite."
Luke shook the small satchel around his neck,
"Understood, Master has taught me everything."
