Inside Hagrid's hut.
Lucien had just arrived when Hagrid took Fang to the Forbidden Forest to collect materials.
Lucien was flipping through Alchemy books by himself.
The one in his hand was an introductory guide to Alchemy; once he mastered the basics, he would be able to analyze the Transfiguration pocket watch more efficiently.
"The transformation of matter, the solidification of magic..."
No wonder Alchemy was an elective course only offered in the sixth year at Hogwarts.
This subject involved Transfiguration, Potion, and even chemical knowledge from the Muggle world, making it extremely complex and difficult to learn.
Fortunately, there were no difficulties with Transfiguration, and as for Potion and Alchemy, he had A and A+ talent levels.
Alchemy also mentioned magic solidification, which was deeply connected to the semi-permanent solidified Transfiguration. Learning them together would be mutually beneficial.
Therefore, the loan for the Transfiguration pocket watch, which required him to master solidified Transfiguration or create an alchemical mechanical animal, could actually be seen as a task to be tackled simultaneously.
Mastering solidified Transfiguration would improve his Alchemy, and delving into Alchemy would also provide insights into Transfiguration.
Hmm, there was also the Undetectable Extension Charm.
Lucien recalled the contents of Newt's letter, which mentioned that creating Undetectable Extension Charm artifacts capable of housing creatures also required a certain foundation in Transfiguration and Alchemy.
This was just the simplest kind, not involving those that could contain multiple spaces.
Crafting a suitcase like Newt's was currently out of the question; those were almost complete miniature worlds.
They had mountains and water and could simultaneously house a large number of magical creatures, even if their living environments differed greatly.
However, he could craft several simpler containers and sort things into them.
Well, besides housing and observing those magical creatures later.
He could also set up some experimental platforms inside to practice Potion, Alchemy...
That way, he could experiment anytime, anywhere, which would be much more convenient.
Time flew by during his studies, and soon it was evening again.
Lucien put down his book and rubbed his slightly sore neck.
"Time to stretch. I'll fertilize the Biting Cabbages. There's still some Mooncalf dung left from last time."
After comparing, using Mooncalf dung as fertilizer was indeed more effective than the magical fertilizer he concocted. The cabbages grew much more vigorously.
Unfortunately, their quantity was too small, far less abundant than making Potion.
He still had to specifically stake out those Mooncalf, and the yield was entirely up to those little creatures.
Once he created a container with an Undetectable Extension Charm, he would raise some Mooncalf.
"Hagrid! Hagrid!"
Lucien was about to get a small hoe when he was interrupted by a sudden shout.
That voice sounded like Ron and Hermione?
"Bang bang bang—"
Urgent knocking followed, the door rattling loudly.
Lucien waved his wand, and the door was pulled open directly.
Standing at the doorway were indeed Hermione, Ron, and Harry.
Lucien looked at Harry, clearly sensing that something was wrong with him.
Harry's face was pale at this moment, his lips had lost their color, and he was clutching his left hand tightly.
Lucien frowned,
"Hagrid isn't here. What's wrong? Why are you here so late?"
Hearing this, the three little ones exchanged glances, becoming even more flustered, and the painful expression on Harry's face became more pronounced.
"What exactly happened?"
Lucien asked again.
Harry glanced at Lucien somewhat guiltily, and that look was immediately caught by Lucien.
That little look was so familiar; he seemed to have seen it not long ago.
Yes, it was when Harry broke Malfoy's bones.
Did this kid sprinkle Potion on someone again?
He only taught him three Potion these past few days: Burn Salve, Beast Repellent Powder, and Quick Cold Relief...
These shouldn't cause trouble.
And it looked like Harry was the one who suffered, got beaten up?
Then why come here to Hagrid? To find a half-Giant to help in a fight?
Wait, beast, beast, could it be today...
Lucien directly raised his wand and pointed, and Harry's hand lifted, his sleeve sliding down.
A tearing wound, extending from his palm to his elbow, was embedded in Harry's forearm.
The deep, bone-visible wound was seeping blood, dripping onto the ground.
This wound looked like a dog bite.
"Why didn't you go to the hospital wing?"
Facing Lucien's question, the three stammered.
Seeing their appearance, Lucien probably guessed what happened.
They likely followed the original plot, where the three little ones, after seeing Harry's father's glorious history as a Quidditch Seeker, encountered the Cerberus while trying to avoid Filch's search.
They should have screamed and fled, but Harry might have tasted the sweetness of Potion last time and decided to replicate the operation.
He threw a handful of Beast Repellent Powder at the Cerberus.
But the principle of this Potion was to drive away beasts with strong irritating odors. A Cerberus was no ordinary beast; it was a magical creature!
Doing so would only enrage it!
As for why they didn't go to the hospital wing?
It was just like a child scraping their knee but not daring to tell an adult.
They could only think of running to their friend Hagrid for help.
Lucien was speechless. He taught Harry Potion knowledge, but how did it make him suffer even more?
"You wait."
Lucien quickly walked out of the room and into the cover of the vegetable garden.
"Luke."
With Lucien's summons, Lumina Apparated directly in front of him.
Lucien pulled out a small bottle, aimed it at Luke's mouth, and had him tilt his head.
He had read in books that qilin saliva had strong healing effects.
Although that was a description for native Unicorn, Luke was a divine beast after all, so the healing effect would surely be even better.
After Lumina woke up, he hadn't had a chance to test this out, but then Harry ran into trouble.
After collecting a bottle of qilin saliva, Lucien sent Luke back to the Forbidden Forest and walked back to the hut.
Controlling the qilin saliva with his wand, he evenly applied it to Harry's wound.
Almost at a visible speed, new flesh grew, and the torn parts quickly mended.
In less than a minute, the originally gruesome and terrifying wound had disappeared, not even leaving a scar.
Harry incredulously touched his forearm, as if the pain he had felt earlier was just an illusion.
Hermione and Ron also looked at Harry's arm in surprise, then at the bottle in Lucien's hand.
"Lucien, what's in that bottle of yours? It's so magical!"
"Saliva."
"Saliva? Whose saliva?"
"Fang's."
Lucien said casually, not caring about their expressions.
"Now, tell me what happened."
Finally, Hermione began to narrate, and the events were indeed similar to Lucien's guess.
When she mentioned that Harry had said, "Don't be afraid, I'll protect you all! Watch my Beast Repellent Powder!"
Lucien laughed, a laugh born of exasperation.
It seemed his teaching wasn't good enough; this clearly showed that the key points weren't remembered. Starting tomorrow, intensive training!
