Chapter 26 - Chapter 10- Rules and Regulations

The tense atmosphere sends goosebumps over your too perfect flesh, the strange smile of the Receptionist only add to the ominousness of the situation. His eyes are like molten lava with flecks of beautiful blue that now seem to be slowly burning to ash within his eyes. "Time for you to hear the rules and regulations of our game."

Suddenly the demonic appearance of the boy in front of you snaps back to the ageless cute-ish girly boy looks that had you confusing him for an angel. The only thing that remains of his demonic self is his molten eyes that are currently staring at you with no hostility yet seem to be a latent threat that can be ignited at any moment.

"So this game is called Ten Rings of Hell, I'm gonna spin this doohickey," he indicates towards multiple large spinning wheels that are labelled with different themes, numbers and what looks to be guardians. "And they're going to tell us the number of floor on each ring, the theme of all the challenges and what the guardians are going to be." The Receptionist smiles broadly, tilting his head in a similar way to how Akane tilted hers a few days ago when she was curious. He waits, as if to confirm you understand. You shrug confused on what the game 'Ten Rings of Hell' is. "What is this 'Ten Rings of Hell' game?" You ask, voice coming out smaller than usual, almost submissive in nature.

The boy's smile widens evilly, "well basically each ring has a certain amount of floors," he clicks his fingers, the number wheel starts spinning rapidly, "and every floor has the same theme." Another click of his fingers, the wheel that is labelled 'themes' starts spinning at an alarming rate, "and every floor has a guardian." Another click and the final wheel starts spinning, "All you have to do is complete the challenge on every floor, and you can't die permanently but every death resets the floor you're on." He smiles as the room fills with the creaking and ominous sound of the wheels violently turning. "every challenge is random yet the same," he explains confusingly, "and you must figure out the challenge on your own, the objective wont be given to you."

He stomps his foot, the number wheel stops spinning, slowing as it glides passed number, it slows dangerously lose to 100 but ultimately comes to a slow and painful stop at ten. He stomps again, the theme wheel slows in the same manner, it wizzes past 'sex' (thankfully) and ultimately lands on escape. This time he adds some commentary, "Oooh that means that you can either find the exit to escape the floor or complete the challenge," he says joyously, slamming his foot against the floor, his soft sandals flapping and creating a sharp thwacking sound as they collide with the ground.

The final wheel has you the most worried, the wheel slows, passing 'minotaur' 'sirens' and 'succubus' eventually landing on (what seems to be) the lightest and easiest guardian, 'women'.

"Okay, this game will have ten rings, each with ten floor with a theme of escape and a hidden bonus theme to spice things up," the Receptionist smirks disturbingly, lips coming too far up his face, "every floor will be guarded by at least one woman." The ground shakes as soon as he finishes talking.

"You lose of you can't complete all the floor within the allotted time and don't worry the dream world time is faster than real time so when you wake up it will be the next day. And to make it fairer you only have to complete a ring every week."

As he finishes speaking the ground opens up below you, your stomach flips as you fall. The last words you hear before falling is: "let the game begin."
