Lucas suddenly became interested. He snapped his fingers, and with a crisp crack, the surrounding environment began to change rapidly.
Before long, he crossed the Universal Barrier and returned to Earth-404.
Using the silver card given by Coulson, the current COO of Kamar-Taj Group, Lucas went to a private room in a restaurant.
After ordering, Lucas took out the sword of light, and with a flick of his hand, he released Knull.
Knull sat opposite Lucas. Although he didn't quite understand human etiquette, and human food wasn't really to his taste, thinking about how long he might be sealed away afterward, he still picked up the teacup and took a careful sip.
"In various Universes, on various Planets, different racial civilizations mostly have their unique pantheons, such as the Norse, Greek, and Egyptian pantheons on Earth. They often possess immortality or lifespans and magic powers beyond ordinary life, and are called New Gods. Sorcerer, can these be considered true gods?"
While waiting for Lucas's reply, Knull wasn't idle. He continuously picked up food, disrupting the ambiance of tea tasting.
Lucas didn't mind. After taking a sip of tea and savoring it for a while, he shook his head. "They are too weak, not true gods."
Knull swallowed the food in his mouth whole and said, "What about the Elder Gods? They were the first deities born on Earth, far more powerful than the New Gods. Can they be considered true gods?"
Lucas thought for a moment, then still shook his head. "Although Elder Gods are generally more powerful than New Gods, a single war almost destroyed this race, with most members dying. They are too easy to kill, not true gods."
Knull drank the entire cup of tea in one gulp and laughed heartily. "Then what about me? The embodiment of the Abyss and Darkness, immortal and indestructible, truly unkillable. Can I be considered a true god?"
Lucas nodded, then shook his head. "Although you are difficult to truly kill, you are too weak. You possess some characteristics of a god, but you are not yet a true god."
"I'm weak?!"
Knull reflexively retorted, then saw Lucas nod as if it were obvious.
"I'm just—"
Knull wanted to defend himself, that he was just not at his peak, not truly weak, but he only opened his mouth.
His defeat was due to multiple unfavorable factors.
The All-Black the Necrosword in his hand was not the original, and the original All-Black the Necrosword was stolen after he was injured in battle.
He was accidentally led away from the Symbiote army by Lucas, and couldn't wear his complete Symbiote armor.
His battle strategy was flawed.
But a loss is a loss, and explanations are meaningless.
More importantly, this sorcerer, after devouring the Primordial Dark Energy from the Abyss, unleashed a combat power far exceeding his own.
As the embodiment of the Abyss and Darkness, he couldn't truly condense the power of the Abyss and Darkness.
But this sorcerer did.
If it weren't for the fact that this sorcerer's energy nature was completely unrelated to the Abyss and Darkness, he would even suspect that this sorcerer was the master and creator of the Abyss and Darkness.
After a long silence, and drinking cup after cup of tea, Knull asked, "What about the Abstract Entities? They possess both the characteristics of gods you mentioned and are powerful enough. Can they be considered true gods?"
Lucas was silent, this was exactly what he wanted to know.
These Abstract Entities, the embodiments of Universal rules, considered part of the Multiverse, are they true gods?
Looking at Knull, the embodiment of the Abyss and Darkness before him, a realization dawned on Lucas.
Eternity, Infinity, Death, Oblivion.
They are important components of the Marvel verse, the true gods.
For the Marvel verse, the rules they symbolize are more important than the rules Knull symbolizes.
They are also more powerful than Knull.
Lucas nodded in agreement with Knull, but was thinking about another question.
Do I want to become such a god?
If I become such a god, what am I the embodiment of?
Energy?
Through the mass-energy equivalence, mass and energy can be interconverted.
It seems pretty good but my talent doesn't seem to be just energy.
Lucas opened his panel and looked at his two talents.
[Energy Absorption: Can absorb any energy and convert it into points.]
[Stat Transfer: Points can be used to enhance Sacred body.]
As his life level continuously evolved, he had long discovered that [Energy Absorption] had many additional functions. Although it seemed to be a skill to assist in improving physical stats, it was unexpectedly useful in combat.
At this stage, he could almost control any form of energy within the Multiverse.
Absorption, conversion, release, all were effortless.
It even overshadowed the most basic and core characteristic of the panel.
—Enhancement!
Perfectly utilizing energy for limitless enhancement, condensing all energy onto a single individual to unleash greater combat power.
This is true great power concentrated in one person.
Lucas once again looked at the panel, where the two question marks had disappeared.
[Name: Lucas (Super God)]
[Description: Great power concentrated in one person, transcending all, detached from all.]
With his doubts resolved, Lucas smiled and chatted with Knull about interesting stories of other Elder gods, ancient races, and Abstract Entities.
Although Knull was not a social butterfly, and for years was either asleep, imprisoned, or at war, he still possessed profound knowledge accumulated over his long existence.
The two talked happily, and this discussion lasted a long time. It was mainly Lucas asking and Knull answering.
Knull stated that he enjoyed this "last meal" very much. He drank a lot of tea, ate a lot, and told many stories.
"Knull."
Lucas smiled and took out the sword of light.
"Is there anything else you want to drink or eat? Once you're done, it's time to go back."
Knull shook his head and consciously entered the sword of light.
He had no obsession with food or drink, he simply couldn't resist the temptation of getting things for free.
He was willing to answer Lucas's questions because of his promise—not to disturb his slumber.
"Sorcerer, perhaps when I wake up, I will be free again. But by then, who knows how many years you will have been dust?"
As an immortal and indestructible being, Knull couldn't help but speak defiantly before falling asleep.
Even the Multiverse has fallen more than once.
He believed that this sorcerer would die one day, and his seal would also be broken one day.
Simple imprisonment, no matter how long, was just a long sleep.
Lucas merely smiled at this.
To be honest, he rather envied Knull's indestructible characteristic. His fault tolerance was maxed out.
