"Wanda, are you looking for me?"
Limited by the field of vision, Lucas couldn't see her face, but this didn't prevent him from recognizing that the person in front of him was Wanda.
"No, wait. Should I call you Sorcerer Wanda?
"I spend less time in Kamar-Taj and often don't pay attention to such things. Please forgive me."
In Kamar-Taj, people generally address each other as Sorcerer So-and-so, and direct address by name is less common. Only Lucas, being not interested in learning and unskilled, often made mistakes.
"It's alright, Sorcerer Lucas, you can just call me Wanda." Wanda shook her head, not minding the issue of address.
"Then you can just call me Lucas too." Lucas said casually, lying on the rocking chair.
Saying that, he drew a circle with his hand, opening a portal to the seventh floor of the bookstore, and took out a rocking chair from it. He placed it aside, signaling Wanda to sit down and talk.
"What's the matter? Let's talk sitting down, standing is too tiring." Lucas had no intention of getting up.
Because of his memories from before transmigration, he subconsciously treated Wanda as an acquaintance. Coupled with his increased strength, his speech and actions became a bit more casual. He forgot that this was only his second meeting with Wanda.
Wanda sat on the rocking chair, lying down in the same manner as Lucas. Although Lucas seemed a bit overly familiar, she didn't mind.
Wanda turned her head to look at Lucas. "Lucas, thank you for saving Pietro and me last time."
"Hmm."
Lucas hummed in response.
Seeing that Lucas had no reaction, Wanda continued, "Lucas, I want to ask you a few questions."
Lucas closed his eyes, feigning sleep, and spoke in a lazy tone, "Ask away."
"Why do you know about Pietro and my childhood, and why did you save us?"
Wanda got straight to the point, asking the two questions that had bothered her for a long time.
"Didn't Ancient One explain it to you? I saw your talent and wanted you to succeed me as Sorcerer Supreme in the future." Lucas remained lying down, explaining casually.
Wanda pressed, "But that doesn't explain why you knew us."
"The Time Stone. The wielder of the Time Stone can know the past, present, and future." Lucas began his grand deception.
"I saw you become a powerful sorcerer in one of the futures. That's why I paid attention."
The real reason, of course, was that he knew what had happened on Earth-199999 and was aware of Wanda's potential. But he didn't want to say that, as it would involve more things and be troublesome to explain.
"Is that really true?" Wanda's voice was hesitant, she felt something was off.
"But isn't the Time Stone with Ancient One, under her safekeeping?"
"I have one too." Lucas flipped his hand, producing the Time Stone.
Wanda's gaze was drawn to the Time Stone, and she stared at it for a long time, unable to look away.
"Want to play with it? If you want to play, take it." Lucas casually tossed the gem in his hand to Wanda.
Seeing Wanda fumble to catch it, Lucas reminded her, "This Time Stone is a fake. It won't activate its power unless energy is actively input into it.
"But if it were a real Time Stone, be careful not to touch it directly with your body."
Wanda gently held the Time Stone, bringing it close to her eyes to examine it carefully.
Suddenly, she asked, "Lucas, can I use this Time Stone to reverse time and resurrect my parents?"
Her voice was filled with anticipation and trepidation.
"No." Lucas said.
"Why?!" Wanda asked.
Lucas explained, "Your parents' souls have likely already left this Universe and entered Hell."
"The Time Stone's power is limited to a single Universe, it cannot bring things from Hell back to the real Universe."
Wanda's expression dimmed.
As much as she had hoped just now, she was equally disappointed now.
"However, there is a way to resurrect your parents."
Lucas decided to draw a big picture for Wanda, a member of his Sorcerer Supreme Team. This was to ignite her fighting spirit, encourage her to diligently learn magic, and strive for a seamless transition to the position of Sorcerer Supreme in the future.
"As long as you are powerful enough, you can enter Hell and snatch your parents' souls back."
After thinking for a moment, Lucas added, "Tony's parents' souls, and Matt's soul, I snatched them back."
"Tony Stark?"
At the mention of that name, Wanda's expression was a little strange.
Lucas was a bit surprised with Wanda's expression not being one of hatred.
"Don't Pietro and you hate him? The Stark missile he designed destroyed your home and killed your parents."
Wanda asked in confusion, "Lucas, how do you even know that?"
Then he explained, "It used to be true, but we've already clarified it. Although he was the designer of the missile, he wasn't responsible for missile sales, nor was he the one who launched the missile."
"The reason Stark Industries' missiles fell into the hands of terrorists was that someone within the company betrayed him and secretly smuggled them. In the end, he also apologized to Pietro and me."
"Is that all?" Lucas asked curiously.
"What else?" Wanda countered.
Lucas felt that the explanation process wasn't that simple. But since Wanda didn't elaborate, he didn't need to press the issue.
It was good for the Sorcerer Supreme Team members to be a loving family.
"Lucas, you just said you snatched Tony's parents' and Matt's souls back from Hell. But why haven't they been resurrected yet?"
Wanda brought the conversation back to the main topic, as she now only wanted to know how to resurrect her parents.
"Yes, Lucas, why isn't Matt fully resurrected? He can only act as a soul."
At some point, Erin and Matt had also arrived and joined the conversation.
Lucas first produced two more rocking chairs, then explained, "Because of the physical body. The soul and the physical body are strongly correlated."
"It's not just any physical body that can perfectly fit a soul. If the physical body and soul don't match, it will not only fail to nourish the soul but also harm it."
After explaining, Lucas greeted Matt.
Both of their expressions were a bit awkward.
Lucas spoke first, expressing his apology, "Sorry, Matt. I didn't realize this would cause you to lose your physical body and almost die."
Matt smiled, unconcerned. "It's alright, we're buddies. It's also my fault for being too careless and not pressing the button you gave me for help in time."
"Being in a soul state is pretty good now, and I can see things again."
After speaking, Matt smiled apologetically, then continued, "I haven't even thanked you yet for risking your life to save my soul."
In Matt's view, it was because he was careless and instantly killed, unable to press the button for help, that Lucas had to delve into Hell, risking his life to retrieve his soul.
He had heard from Erin that Lucas left and only returned about three days later. When he returned, his aura was a bit off, quite frightening.
