(After the events of pacific rim one (two can go to hell for all I care)June 16th 2035
Mark awoke to the sound of glass shattering and screams echoing all around his bunk bed. Everything was confusing at first, but he gradually remembered who he was.
He was lieutenant Commander Mark Johnson of the 1st Jaeger squad along with lieutenant Commander Keith Morrison piloting the (I'm not as creative so please bear with me here) Orion, a multi trillion dollar Jaeger of mass destruction and total annilation built for the sole purpose of killing Kaiju, massive beasts created by the Precursors, a group of aliens striving to conquer earth.
He was brought out of his thoughts by lieutenant Commander Keith Morrison yelling "move move move, we've got Kaiju, massive ones at least category 4 and as large as catagory 6!" "Shit!"Mark swore as he sprinted to the Orions cockpit, also known as the conpod. Ten minutes later, he was "locked and loaded" as doctor Angela Morgan would say. "This Central command, Orion do you copy?"a voice rang out, "this is Orion, copy that"Mark said, "engaging drift in 5 4 3 2 1 engaging"the voice rang out again as Marks mind drifted into his thoughts, the drift, a synchronizing protocol to effectively control the jaegers as one mind is to fragile to fully control without extreme mental strain. Images flashed through his mind, memories not from his brain but Keiths, his long time best friend and copilot to the Orion.
As he was yanked back to the present, the voice rang out once more, "drift at 94% and stable, please head to launch pad six and prepare Central command out". "What do you think happened?" Asked Keith.
"I don't know what happened but we need to get to point a and defend Tokyo", Mark said.
"Wait, why are we defending Tokyo!?" Asked Keith, "don't they have their own jaegers to defend themselves?"
"They do, but all of them can't reach there in time and the ones there are to weak to be of much help against cat fives as they are all very old, well, except for kido butai".
They bantered with themselves as they speed walked Orion to the designated location.
"Launching in five four three two one blastoff". Ten minutes later, they arrived at Tokyo, which looked like hell on earth.
As they slammed feet first into the ground, a Kaiju lunged at them and slashed with its sharp claws, Keith grunted as they performed an high g maneuver worthy of Michael jackson, accidentally slamming into another one of these beasts and knocking it on the ground before slamming the first assailant into the ground before firing one of their super heated railguns which also serves as a stablizer and killing it before getting slammed into a skyscraper by the second one only....."rahhh!"
Only to kill the second Kaiju with a building, "the irony huh" Keith said, a roar interrupted them as a cat six rounded the corner, dead Jaeger in hand, the kido butai, a fast and surprisingly heavy Jaeger with the capacity to launch multiple drones that can fire and drill through Kaiju and steel alike with super heated rounds and drills with a killer saber super heated at 3000° to inflict maximum damage with the minimal spill.
"Shit", swore Keith and Mark alike as the only new gen Jaeger other then them here died to a cat six. "Well no time like the present to see the strength of a cat six huh". Asked Keith. "Yeah" said Mark, "let's do this".

Con pod= a jaegers control system the pilot drifts with another to achieve synchronization and move in the cockpit with simulations running to make it seem like they are the Jaeger and full maneuverability (attached pic in the characters because it is too hard to write)
Notice, the mc will be as I said pretty strategic and cold though not to much just really professional
