Chapter 8 - Chapter 7:When men find steel

POV — PREHISTORIC EARTH

Kael never meant to uplift humanity.

He simply didn't erase every trace of himself.

THE ACCIDENTAL GIFTS

In regions Kael once trained openly—deserts, volcanic plains, high plateaus—humans found strange remnants:

Metal blades that did not rust

Shields too light, too balanced that children could weild.

Fragments of alloy harder than stone.

They did not know metallurgy yet.

So they revered it.

Entire tribes formed around a single blade.

Kings were crowned by holding weapons they could not recreate.

THE BLURRED GHOSTS

More dangerous than the metal were the broken holographic projectors.

Outdoor combat simulations—left damaged, looping endlessly—played blurred figures striking, parrying, advancing with impossible coordination.

Humans watched.

They mimicked.

Stances evolved. Formations emerged. Discipline entered warfare thousands of years early.

Cave paintings changed.

Now they showed:

Armies instead of hunters

Shields interlocked

A silent sun above them all

This would one day help humanity survive alien invasions.

But it would also make them far better at killing heroes when canon began.

Kael would regret this.

...

THE ALLIANCE THAT FEARED A MAN

POV — COSMIC POLITICS

The second Lantern failure shattered denial.

But unity was… difficult.

THE FIRST TRUE COSMIC ALLIANCE (ATTEMPTED)

Invited parties:

Select Green Lantern elders

Olympian envoys

Thanagarian war-scholars

Hidden god-pantheons

Minor cosmic empires

They could not agree.

Gods demanded worship

Lanterns demanded jurisdiction

Empires demanded weapons

Everyone demanded control.

Kael's existence exposed their incompatibility...

Meetings stalled. Votes delayed. Treaties rewritten.

A decade would pass before they could even agree on what Kael was to them .

"A threat." "A resource." "A blasphemy." "A weapon."

In that decade…

Kael would move first.

.....

THE EYES OF NEW GENESIS

POV — THE NEW GODS

The Venus incident reached them late.

Too late for comfort.

Metron replayed fractured data endlessly.

A figure. A solar spike and Magic failing.

"This was not brute force," Metron said.

"This was adaptation."

Darkseid said nothing.

That silence terrified the others.

Investigations began quietly. Boom Tubes flickered near Sol-system edges. Eyes watched Earth.

Not yet intervention or invasion.

But interest.

.....

THE MERCURY VAULT

POV — KAEL & THE SERAPHIM

Kael had already planned for this.

SECONDARY SUPERIOR BASE:

SOL GRAVE

Location:

Dark side of Mercury

Permanently shielded from direct solar observation

Extreme radiation gradients

Purpose:

Backup command

Seraphim manufacturing nexus

Final preparation point

And something else.

..

THE SUNFALL PROTOCOL

Kael intended to enter the Sun's core in the near future .

Not die.

Hibernate.

Millennia of uninterrupted absorption

Evolution beyond observation

Removal from cosmic chessboards

SOL: "Probability of mythologization: extreme sir ."

Kael: "Good. Let them argue over ghosts."

Before that…

He would settle accounts.

ARC — HOUSE SOL-ABRAXAS

Kael chose a name.

Not for conquest.

For memory.

SOL-ABRAXAS

Sun Eater. God Breaker. The Oath of Return.

...

TEN YEARS OF METHODICAL BLASPHEMY

Kael did not attack Olympus directly.

That would be crude.

Instead, the Seraphim executed precision cruelty:

Temples collapsed without earthquakes

Oracles went blind mid-prophecy

Divine bloodlines died mysteriously

Champions lost blessings mid-battle

Gods screamed.

Mortals whispered.

Faith cracked.

Kael never announced himself.

But symbols appeared:

A broken sun

A devouring halo

The name ABRAXAS carved into stone no blade could mark

The gods raged

And made the worst decision possible.

...

THE GOD-CHOSEN FOOL

POV — OLYMPIANS

Arrogance returned.

It always did.

They anointed a mortal.

Gave him:

Divine strength

Divine speed

A minor-god artifact meant to slay demigods

They called him a lesson.

They sent him to Earth.

"Show the Sun-Eater what real divinity looks like ."

They believed Kael would confront him openly.

They were very wrong.

BEFORE IMPACT

Kael watched the champion descend.

He felt no anger.

Only calculation.

VESPER: "You intend to make an example."

Kael: "yes. I intend to make a long lasting memory."

The gods leaned forward on their thrones.

The universe held its breath.

And Kael stepped into the light.

CURRENT STATUS

Humanity: Accelerating unknowingly

Cosmic Alliance: Delayed, fractured

New Gods: Watching carefully

Kael: Darker, patient, vengeful...
