Chapter 36 - Chapter 36: What Right Do You Have to Know?

On the podium, Iruka Umino continued his lecture.

Kushina felt a bit worried.

She had just arrived in Konoha, and such a massive explosion had already occurred.

Was the living environment for the people of Konoha really this harsh?

She looked at Minato beside her. "Minato, aren't you worried?"

"Me? I'm just a Clone."

The Clone chuckled. "Don't worry. If there's real danger, the main body will arrive immediately."

Besides, even without considering the main body, the Chakra in this Wood Clone alone was enough to crush some weakling Chunin.

The strength of most Chunin wasn't actually that far from a Genin; they just had higher combat literacy.

This was why, in Naruto's year, only Shikamaru successfully promoted to Chunin.

Furthermore, under normal circumstances, the difficulty of the Chunin Exams wasn't as high as depicted in the original story.

Konoha held the Chunin Exams twice a year, and they were internal Village assessments. If every exam was at the intensity of the joint exams in the original story, few in the entire Village would ever become Chunin.

The main body hadn't given him much Chakra, but it was enough to release a single Deep Forest Emergence to deal with some cannon fodder.

Seeing the Clone's confident look, Kushina felt slightly more at ease.

Sure enough, until the end of class, the Village remained peaceful, with no signs of an enemy attack.

Kushina also returned to her previous lively self.

The students in the class were buzzing with discussion, all talking about what that explosion was about.

"I bet it was an enemy attack! There must have been Ninjas from another Village attacking, but they were driven back by the Third!"

"Idiot, the explosion was on the outskirts of the Village. My old man stays in the Hokage office building all day. By the time he arrived, the enemy would have already broken into the Village."

Shinnosuke propped up his chin, interrupting his classmate's blind worship of his father.

"Minato, what do you think happened?" Kushina asked in a low voice.

"I don't know..."

Minato shook his head. "But it probably wasn't an enemy attack. Konoha has emergency protocols for attacks. The moment an attack happens, the Anbu would notify the school, and the teachers would lead the students to evacuate to shelters."

"Only after all the civilians have entered the shelters would the counterattack be organized."

"Is that how it works?"

Hearing this, Kushina's big eyes were full of admiration. "Minato, you know so much!"

"Hmph, he's probably just talking nonsense to show off again, right?"

Not far away, Kōta sneered, not believing Minato's words at all.

If he only had a bit of jealousy toward Minato before, then after Minato called the teacher yesterday and got him punished with extra writing, he now felt nothing but hate for him.

"If it's really like you said, how come I didn't know?"

Heh... the Clone chuckled inwardly and then looked at Kōta with a puzzled expression.

"What right do you have to know?"

"What did you say?"

Kōta's face twitched violently, and a surge of anger rose in his heart.

He had originally wanted to act superior and maintain a calm, indifferent demeanor to step on this show-off blondie, but he hadn't expected the other party's single sentence to make him lose his cool.

"What I mean is, this emergency protocol is issued directly to the Anbu and the Ninja forces."

The Clone scratched his head and gave an awkward yet polite smile. "Um, sorry, but... are you some kind of very important big shot?"

As those words fell, Kushina burst out laughing.

The surrounding students also broke into fits of laughter.

Hearing the piercing laughter around him, Kōta's face instantly turned beet red. "Nonsense! If it's as you say, then how did you know?"

"Of course my teacher told me."

The Clone looked bewildered. "My teacher is Tsunade, and Tsunade-sensei's teacher is the Third Hokage. Is it strange for me to know this?"

Kōta looked at Shinnosuke, who shrugged. "He's right. My old man also told me to follow the teacher's instructions and evacuate immediately in case of an emergency."

"See, I didn't lie to you, right?"

The Clone spread his hands innocently, looking like an honest person.

"Dammit..."

Kōta's face was flushed, his blood boiling.

He really wanted to punch Minato, but before he could act, he was pulled back by Yukio.

"Calm down, we're in class."

Yukio warned in a low voice, "Don't forget about being punished with extra writing yesterday. Besides, that guy's popularity isn't bad..."

"Tch..."

Kōta sat back in his seat with a dark expression. "This guy is just too aggravating. And he's actually Senior Tsunade's Disciple. What should we do?"

Yukio curled his lips. "What are you afraid of? Senior Tsunade is his teacher, not his mother. The Hokage's son is right here in class, and he doesn't get any special treatment, does he?"

Being a Ninja was a violent profession; anyone who went crying to their parents would be laughed at. This was an unwritten rule.

"Then let's just give him a lesson!"

Kōta clenched his fist. "Let him know how tough we are!"

"That's easy to say, but we can't find a good opportunity."

Tetsuo hesitated. "I saw him being picked up after school by a beautiful older sister before. That was probably Senior Tsunade, right?"

"Hmph, he has to be alone sometime, right?"

Kōta snorted coldly, unconsciously clenching his fists as if he could already see his iron fist smashing into Minato's face.

In the back of the class, the Clone glanced in the direction of the three.

From a distance of a few meters, their plotting was no different from shouting to him; naturally, he heard everything clearly.

However, he was always one to help others and didn't want to let his three classmates' schemes go to waste.

So, the Clone decided he might as well relax his guard a bit and give the three an opening.

Soon, school was over for the afternoon.

The Clone and Kushina walked out of the classroom side by side.

As they passed the aisle near the trio, Minato said casually, "Tsunade-sensei might be home a bit late today, so I plan to buy some groceries on the way. Do you want to come along, Kushina?"

"Mm-hmm, let's go together!"

Kushina nodded repeatedly, her eyes full of anticipation.

Going grocery shopping together... it was almost like a date... no, like a married couple!

At the thought, Kushina's face heated up, and she unconsciously cupped her cheeks.

Although the Minato in front of her was just a Wood Clone, when the main body returned, the memories would be synchronized.

Realizing this, Kushina decided that when they were shopping later, she had to show her virtuous side and leave a deep impression on Minato!

After the two left, Kōta and the other two exchanged looks.

"The chance!"

Kōta gritted his teeth. "I'm definitely going to give him a lesson he'll never forget today!"

"Yeah!"

The three rushed out of the classroom in a flurry.

Inside the classroom, Shinnosuke watched their retreating backs and couldn't help but shake his head. "Three idiots."

He wasn't sure of Minato's exact strength, but he knew a bit about Tsunade.

How could someone who was handpicked as a Disciple by the First Hokage's granddaughter right after entering school be simple?

Three pieces of trash who hadn't even mastered Ninjutsu... Heh~
