Chapter 12 - The Throne Above the Twelve

The clouds united artistically, forming a mat. The mat formed of clouds was covered like an arc—an eclipse to be more specific. It had parts of its end extended down as vast stairs.

The stairs' number was exactly twelve. Each of the twelve cloud-made stairs extended to the king's throne that was set near the ocean.

PSI was shocked the moment he heard the sound of the divine goblins that resembled the sound tube toys he knew.

His face was completely washed by confusion as he heard the sound and thought,

'Divine goblins for real... We are taking this too far...'

His body reaction was even worse, and he didn't realize it yet. His hands and legs were trembling like he was in a cold shower. His teeth began to shake slowly.

He then realized it when he wanted to stand straight to stretch. He looked at his right leg, which he usually moved first, flabbergasted. He then gritted his teeth as soon as he realized that they were no joke.

"I'm dead."

"But I will revive... Tsk."

"Huh?"

He then twisted and jumped on the ground, throwing his hands and body around, trying to wake himself from the state he was in.

The goblins ascended from the stairs made for them.

The twelve goblins.

The red goblins—these goblins' bodies were full of red colors, from their teeth to their nails. Even their eyes and hair were red. Once activated, they were burning hell. Their hair was like fire lit on a match, burning upward. Their knees had the same fire burning on them as well.

He looked at the other goblins on the next stair since they were actually stepping down their own stairs in sequential order.

The blue goblins were exact copies of the red goblins, but they had different elements and colors, which were blue. Their water magic was overwhelming since they had clouds above each and every one of them raining.

Water flooded from the stairs just like a mountainside groaning as water, a merciless titan, tore away rock and earth in its wake.

Next up, the yellow goblins ascended. They were shining like the sun. Every last one of them had an eye that infuriated what it saw into pieces. They were the actual light magic users.

The orange goblins were quite slow, yet the most interesting ones that caught his eyes. He was way more threatened by just looking at them. They were not just burning the ground from the sky but melting it.

The lava magic users.

The lava slowly dropped, penetrating the ground softly.

Suddenly something contradicting happened. The clouds darkened, and shadows from the stairs walked down. They breathed black smoke, and their eyes were light blue.

It was none other than the black goblins.

Shadow magic users, also known as the smoke manipulators.

Soon a disturbing sound vibrated throughout the place. His ears felt it like a rushing phonk playing at max level through a headset.

Unlike any other unusual goblin, this was rather rewarding—rush phonk.

Bro by now was thinking he could defeat even the gods, let alone goblins.

But he never thought that the goblins might actually be gods.

That's the effect of the purple goblins—the sound magic users. They can play with the brain using optional music.

But yeah.

The atmosphere changed.

The wind waved slowly, forming a tornado at the very first stair of the clouds.

Just when the leader stepped out of the cloud onto the stair, the wind blew through the whole place. Each and every goblin that was now considered a leftover from the ones PSI killed— not even goblins in his eyes.

I mean, I believe the fact that goblins like this exist makes the whole damn goblin concept he has so different.

Well, they were all swept away by the wind. They all hit the mountains, their bodies exploding as they collided with the mountain walls.

He stood his ground, grinding his teeth, and held onto a stone that was originally sunk deep in the ground.

He felt like he had opened an airplane window and peeked outside.

His face stretched, making him worried that his own face might actually become like plastic.

Once stretched, it can't return tight.

These are the almighty light gray goblins—wind magic users.

The next entrance was more stylish than the other goblins.

Metal bars covered and shaped into the renowned nouveau stair style.

Each goblin had chains, crowns, and their own accessories.

From their rings to their chains, everything was top-notch silver.

The cloud-made staircase was more reinforced and styled.

They were silver metal magic users—the flashy ones.

Never in his mind had he thought that a goblin could be this cool.

Once the rain combined with the tornado slowed down, he sighed and said,

"Never in my mind would I see goblins this hot. Damn it!"

And so, the sand and stones all raised into the sky, even the one stone he was holding.

It covered the two stairs that were next after the silver goblins' stair.

The first stair had brown goblins—more like sand magic users—while the second stair had dark gray goblins, which were earth magic users, more specifically stone magic users.

And with that, he turned his face—wait, not only his face, his whole body—toward the last stair.

This one was way more weird for him to accept.

Because they were perfectly green goblins.

But when they walked out of the clouds to the stair, trees began to grow from the clouds.

Soon the whole stair changed into a grassland that could even cover him inside.

It expanded to the ground with short grass, making the place perfectly green.

The true nature magic users.

The green goblins.

The king stood up from his throne, looking straight to where Pathless was.

He spoke loud and clear with an echoing and vibrating voice that alone placed him above all the twelve goblins.

"Leader of the lesser goblins. I will make your dreams come true. I will make the goblins the thirteen divine goblins, and I will give them intelligence. They will be special goblins with the strength element if you succeed in my final request as your god."

Someone was standing still even when the wind blew away all the rest of the goblins that stood in front of PSI, which he initially was trying to take down.

That someone was their leader.

He was so powerful—but only in strength.

His body was not just that of a normal goblin.

He looked like a goblin with a V-taper body.

Already 6 ft tall.

PSI saw it from far away and reminded himself of the bodybuilders he was acquainted with in his past life.

"Man, he looks just like Superman. Is he really that strong? But even the king of the goblins, who I already think is the god of the goblins, acknowledged him. If it wasn't for his followers who are brainless animals... he would have been one. It's best to consider him as the '13th divine goblin'."

PSI suddenly jumped and screamed with shock that followed him even from Earth.

"Ghoo…oust!"

"Haaa…."

A ghost stood before him with sweat and tears. Even as a ghost, it was terrified of the situation.

But PSI was terrified of something much more.

Just when the ghost spoke...

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY BODY?"

"WHO ARE YOU?"
