Chapter 145 - Chapter 145: Violet Skinned Master!

Huang Shi stared at the crimson-haired woman, who seemed to be humiliated by the fact that she couldn't even stay upright long enough to reach a place of safety. She grit her teeth, her expression looking grim.

Alright, so she can't walk; I guess the solution here is obvious.

With a silent wave of his paw, the crimson-haired woman, who was still struggling to stand on two feet, suddenly felt shackles of spiritual energy surrounding her body. These shackles slowly lifted her off the ground and settled her behind his back.

The crimson-haired woman seemed humiliated as her crimson sand surrounded her body like a sandstorm, showcasing the inner turmoil she was experiencing.

Huang Shi looked back at her as she lay on his back and once again used his spiritual energy to tighten her body against his own, making sure that she wouldn't fall off. Once he made sure that she had been safely secured in place, he started to run on all four legs in the direction of the cave.

WHOOSH!

After just a few minutes of running, he and the crimson-haired woman finally reached the entrance of the cave. Without hesitation, they entered. Immediately, there was a strange smell of blood, gore, and wet earth within the cave—likely from the kinds of prey the previous owner of this cave ate.

Finally, Huang Shi used his spiritual energy a second time to settle down a makeshift mattress, made from one of the supplies he had previously obtained from Bai Xinyue, and placed her down on it. She winced in pain at the sudden movement before finally calming down once she realized she was lying on a fluffy bed.

AWOOO!!

Once Huang Shi had made sure that she was now safe and healing, he finally breathed a sigh of relief before looking at his current body, his mouth twitching.

Fuck… it's probably around an hour and a half more before I turn back into a human. Do I want to risk staying here and having her find out my identity?

Huang Shi thought about it for a few seconds before shaking his head, making a decision.

I've already done enough for her. Even if she is an exceptional beauty, right now I have more important things to do. I need to find out what's going on at the sect and see if my Li Mei and grandfather are okay.

After making his decision, Huang Shi looked back at the crimson-haired woman lying on the bed. His golden eyes shone with a human-like intelligence that even he didn't notice, simply because he was not the one being stared at by them. He then nudged his head toward the exit of the cave, indicating that he would be leaving.

The crimson-haired woman stared at the wolf, staying quiet for a few seconds before nodding her head and speaking in a soft tone.

"I understand. Thank you once again for saving me from the brink of death. If I ever see you again in this forest, I will be sure to repay this favor!"

Huang Shi looked into her ruby eyes and nodded his head before finally walking out of the cave, leaving the woman to her fate. Even though he didn't know why, he felt like even if he hadn't helped her, she still would have survived this entire ordeal.

Maybe I'm just overthinking things…

After shaking off these random thoughts, Huang Shi started to run off into the distance, his destination clearly being the Azure Dragon Sect. What he didn't notice was that while he was running back to the sect, a pair of ruby-red eyes was staring at him from the cave.

Her eyes shone with a powerful light, completely unlike the weakness she had previously displayed. Before long, she suddenly spoke a few words out loud that, if Huang Shi had been there to hear them, would probably have made him shiver with unease.

"Master, what was that wolf? It seemed to have the intelligence of a human, but its cultivation base was very weak."

All of a sudden, a figure appeared beside the crimson-haired woman. This person was tiny, as small as a child's finger; she had crimson hair and ruby-red eyes, but her skin was violet, as were her fingernails that seemed to shine like purple gems and she was dreadfully beautiful. She didn't have any sort of voluptuous curves; instead, she was as flat as a board, and yet she had a strange, seductive charm that was hard to resist.

The figure, whom this crimson-haired woman called "Master," thought for a few seconds while staring at the wolf running off into the distance before replying in a slightly hesitant tone.

"It's either that wolf has some sort of supreme bloodline that it hasn't yet awakened to, like you do, or…"

The crimson-haired woman looked at her Master, who was currently sitting down cross-legged on her ample chest, waiting for her to continue her answer before she suddenly heard words that made her pupils constrict.

"Or it could be that the wolf was just a disguise; it was actually a human!"

If Huang Shi were here and he realized what this violet-skinned woman had said, he would be so shocked that his jaw would fall wide open.

This was because, although the system had said that if he faced a strong enough cultivator, they would be able to see through the disguise of the Thousand Faced Mask, he had made an estimate in his head—considering the level of the system—that only individuals above the Sky Profound Realm would be able to see through his disguise. Considering this woman could see through it, even though it was just a hunch, proved that this Master of the person he saved was an incredibly terrifying individual.

The crimson-haired woman, still reeling from the revelation, struggled to find her voice amidst her shock.

"A human? You mean that wolf? But Master, is it even possible for a human to truly turn into a wolf?"

The violet-skinned woman looked at this beloved disciple of hers with a chastising gaze, slowly shaking her head.

"This world is vast, and its wonders are infinite. Who knows what kind of strange cultivation techniques people might learn? Perhaps that is simply the path he has chosen for himself. Who can say!"
