Seraphina's Point Of View
The morning sun barely peeked through the sheer linen curtains when my eyes fluttered open. I blinked at the unfamiliar ceiling, taking a slow, deep breath, letting the quiet settle into my bones before the day could claim me.
For a moment, I let myself simply exist there, suspended between sleep and waking, savoring the rare stillness before my mind inevitably began cataloging everything I needed to do.
I glanced at the glowing digital clock on the bedside table. Before seven. Perfect.
I pushed the heavy duvet off my legs and sat up, rubbing the sleep from my eyes. A week. I had been staying in this massive mansion with Draven, Lucian, and Azriel for an entire week. Seven days of suffocating security, ridiculous banter, and three towering men constantly hovering over me as if I were made of fine glass.
