Chapter 53 - The Tomb

Considering the structure, Ye Jun was sure it was a tomb. Perhaps some old Cultivator had someone design this, or their descendants did it.

And a tomb meant treasure.

In this world's culture, a person was buried after their death with lots of wealth, their possessions, and many valuable things. Especially someone influential and powerful.

That was why whenever an old tomb was found, people gathered to plunder it. It was a shameful act to defile the dead, but the lure of treasures was too strong.

'So they seek out a Formation Master to set up traps and security for the intruders.'

Those traps corroded gradually over time, allowing the entry to become easier. Sometimes they grew stronger over time though, as they were designed that way.

It all depended on how the tomb's owner wanted it to be. Sometimes they left behind an Inheritance and used the tomb as trial grounds.
