Chapter 222 - 222

It was understandable to feel excited, since the transaction amount was well over fifty million. Once the deal was settled, the commission would undoubtedly be a life-changing sum for him!

He trembled as he pulled out his phone, his fingers too excited to obey, trying several times before finally unlocking the screen.

He had no choice but to use both hands to barely get through to his assistant, Danny.

When the call connected, Marcus's voice was filled with uncontrollable excitement and urgency. "Danny, go prepare the quote, right... it's the unit we just saw — the 7,750-square-foot penthouse duplex, get it up to the top floor right away! Run! We absolutely cannot make our guest wait even one more second! If you pull it off, tonight I'm treating you to dinner, my treat, wherever you want."

"Okay."

After hanging up, Marcus took a few deep breaths, trying to calm the flush on his face and the trembling in his hands. He straightened his slightly wrinkled suit and put on a respectful and composed expression again.

He pushed the door open and returned to the room, bowing slightly: "Ethan, the quote will be ready shortly. Please wait a moment."

Ethan simply nodded lightly.

After a while.

Assistant Danny appeared at the door, panting, handing Marcus a meticulously prepared folder with both hands.

Marcus took it, took a deep breath, walked up to Ethan, and solemnly opened the folder: "Ethan, please review the final quote. This duplex is 7,750 square feet. The current listed price is about $9,850 per square foot, putting the total at roughly $76,320,000."

He paused, then looked at Ethan sincerely: "Of course, as an honored guest, and given how much you appreciate the Hudson Residences brand, and your strong support, it's our honor. So off the total, I'll knock off $320,000 for you right off the bat."

He flipped through the quote sheet and pointed to the adjusted number: "Then, on top of that, I'll apply the maximum exclusive discount I'm authorized to give — 9%. That locks in a final price of $69,160,000. This is already our absolute lowest. With just a $30 million down payment, we can get this duplex secured for you today. Ethan, what do you think?"

Ethan nodded upon hearing this, took out his bank card, and said, "Go ahead and run the card. Full payment."

Decisive, without a hint of hesitation!

Marcus felt his breath catch for a moment!

Full payment! Over sixty-nine million!

Marcus took a deep breath, then took the bank card, his voice filled with solemnity and promise: "No problem, I'll handle it for you right away. Full payment moves quickly, and I'll pull every resource I have to open the highest-priority channel for you! We'll get this closed as fast as possible and make sure you get your deed as quickly as we can."

Ethan nodded slightly, his gaze once again fixed on the magnificent 270-degree river view.

Under seventy million, for a top-tier asset with real future upside, plus a home in the sky overlooking the whole city.

There's no better investment than this.

Ethan was quite satisfied with this duplex, mainly because the design style inside matched his aesthetic perfectly, so naturally he didn't hesitate.

...

Marcus's words, "handle it right away," were like a giant stone thrown into a calm lake.

The entire service team was stirred into motion!

Efficiency! That was the only creed in this moment.

You absolutely couldn't afford to neglect a distinguished guest like Ethan; for someone like him, time is money.

Moreover, once they closed this massive transaction, they'd have commission to collect, and the supervisor had already promised a celebration dinner that evening. Everyone moved like they'd been given a shot of adrenaline, firing on all cylinders!

A little over an hour later.

Ethan calmly signed his name on the final contract.

Under everyone's gaze, he lightly swiped his card on the payment terminal.

"Beep — transaction successful." He'd successfully transferred over sixty-nine million from his account.

The confirmation popping up on the screen sounded like a salute, announcing the perfect conclusion of this top-tier deal.

With a Chase personal secretary like Mia present, moving tens of millions was naturally no problem.

The last trace of uncertainty in Marcus's heart finally settled, replaced by a tremendous sense of accomplishment and indescribable joy.

"Pop! Pop!"

Two staff members who'd been waiting nearby set off confetti poppers at just the right moment, scattering colorful ribbons and shimmering gold flakes everywhere, catching the light in a festive glow.

Marcus took a deep breath, suppressing his excitement, stepped forward, and bowed deeply to Ethan, his tone filled with heartfelt respect: "Ethan, thank you so much for your trust and your confidence in the Hudson Residences brand and this project! Your satisfaction will be our greatest motivation to keep pushing for excellence in service!"

At this moment, he made a point not to say: "Congratulations to Ethan on joining The Hudson Residences family."

Those words were meant for customers buying ordinary small units, meant partly to elevate the brand's own standing.

Meant to make people feel proud just to live at The Hudson Residences.

But for someone like Ethan, saying that would be almost insulting.

His status didn't need The Hudson Residences to prop it up; frankly, no property in the entire city could add to his standing.

Marcus had been in sales for so many years, he had a feel for these things.

...

The dust settled, and the key was in hand.

Ethan didn't linger and took Mia back into the bright orange McLaren P1.

The engine let out a low roar, like a beast awakening, instantly driving away from the "sky kingdom" he'd just claimed.

With a turn of the steering wheel, they drove toward two other high-end communities not far from The Hudson Residences, both part of the Midtown golden zone.

Meridian Court and Riverside Nine.

What came next left Mia, a bank secretary well used to dealing with the ultra-wealthy, once again shaken in her understanding of what money could do.

Like a highly efficient assembly line, Ethan managed to purchase three fully furnished large units at each of the two developments, at an astonishing pace and in an almost "wholesale" style, all within just two or three hours!

But the price wasn't as steep as at The Hudson Residences.

Still considered high-end, though, averaging between $700 and $800 per square foot.

However, all six units were smaller, each around 2,475 square feet.

Each unit ran over $1.8 million, and the six together added up to nearly $11 million.

Since he was going to keep a few women set up comfortably, he definitely needed to have several more properties ready.

Ethan's goal was extremely clear.

For Vanessa, Sophie, Jessica, and that recent college student, they were more like kept companions. For them, money was enough of an investment.

This was completely different from what Diana and Nora represented, which required real emotional investment and a sense of partnership.
