As they both launched against their opposing foes.
Kensei's sword missed as the creature dangled around it with eye balls red from pain and anger. Sammy launched successfully, stabbing the mouth of the zombie whale.
The nerve monster now covered Kensei, its eyes staring at Kensei a few centimeters apart. Sammy saw the body of the whale turn to stone just as planned and soon used its body as a stepping stone to rise from the water but he was quite far.
As the nerves rearranged around Kensei ready to shock him Kensei then used his blood spikes covering all around his body tearing through his clothes but it was too slow for the creature with nerves.
As Sammy kept swimming after using the body of the stone turned whale as a stepping stone, he saw another whale approaching just as expected and he prepared to turn it to stone as well.
As the nerves dangled with amusement through Kensei's irritated expression. Kensei started talking.
"You sure do love to stick with me don't you."
He turned the blood spikes into ropes that start from his body and ends with his body effectively taking the creature of nerves by surprise and it soon realized that Kensei was aiming for the blood pool of the whale.
While Sammy was taken by surprise by the whale as instead of charging at him directly the whale looked downwards.
'What... wait!'
The whale then gushed out water from its blowhole causing Sammy to get flinged by it.
But this also allowed Sammy to get away from the whale.
'Not very smart for a lord'
Sammy then quickly got up getting above the sea but as soon as he did he said.
"I do not regret calling that lord an idiot."
He said before a huge tornado launched against him causing him to whirl across.
He then stabbed himself to constantly heal against the tornado although it hurt and it didn't seem as if the regeneration could keep up.
While this was happening Kensei successfully managed to drain the blood from the blood pool by simply making a part of his own blood go towards it to absorb.
Doing this he got slightly stronger and quickly grabbed the nerves as it was trapped against him.
The nerve creature quickly charged lightning between itself but Kensei pushed through the pain and ripped the nerves away from him but that only made it worse as the ripped parts regenerated but the regenerated parts didn't have one feature a brain.
Meaning its being controlled by one entity, but nonetheless Kensei launched himself against the whale at high speeds while holding his sword high against it.
He successfully made a cut while the nerves creature chased behind him but he quickly got in the skin of the whale and started absorbing blood from inside the monster.
He had successfully killed a lord all by himself and had gotten stronger. The creature with nerves seeing this felt a slight tremble and started floating back in the air.
"You took me by surprise when I was trying my best to protect Mr.prophet and stay on guard. After killing you I'll be strong enough to protect him from the likes of creatures like you."
But Kensei didn't have time to fight the creature of nerves as Sammy was struggling in the tornado.
He made his "blood bike" but now an automatic rowing system which allowed him to move forward at amazing speed towards Sammy to save him.
'God damn how do i live in this' Sammy thought to himself as he stinged from the pain of the dagger, while he was getting dragged in the tornado a book suddenly hit his face staying there for a few minutes before getting away again.
'Wait that book wasn't wet' 'that can only mean it's some kind of magical book, it must be the book of stories!'
He was correct; it was the book of stories that had slammed against his face.
He then watched the book sling around but he needed that book and luckily the book came back in his direction and Sammy successfully failed in catching it.
As the book flew by again but thanks to Sammy's little nudge Kensei was able to grab the book.
"We only need that book! We can get the other books in korea!." He said as loudly as he could while in the tornado.
"Okay." Kensei was able to hear it due to his inhuman sense but he also spoke in english which he learned in a very very very short time, but sadly Sammy didn't hear it
'Oh he didn't hear it' the narrator read the thoughts of Kensei and for the first time he seemed to be a bit sad.
Soon Kensei managed to get both of them out of the tornado.
"I'll fight the nerve creature." Kensei said as he was prepared for battle.
"Heck no! That thing was going easy on us! It's an overlord who has amputated, we are not fighting that! Lets just get out... alright?" Sammy said as he didn't want to go through that again.
"As you wish." Kensei said with a hint of a smile.
They started riding Kensei's "blood bike" which is more like a blood boat now but soon Kensei noticed the amputated overlord started chasing again.
Kensei himself didn't want to deal with it again. He sped up.
