Chapter 2 - Desperate Situation! Beast Tamer Mohji vs. Luffy!

Episode 6 – Desperate Situation! Beast Tamer Mohji vs. Luffy!

Luffy and Koby arrive at Orange Town, a place that has been completely taken over by pirates led by Buggy the Clown. The town is in ruins, with buildings destroyed and citizens hiding in fear. While exploring, Luffy encounters a strange sight: a lion named Richie guarding a destroyed pet food store. Richie belongs to Mohji, one of Buggy's top officers and a self-proclaimed beast tamer.

Luffy quickly learns that Buggy's crew has been terrorizing the town for weeks. Mohji cruelly orders Richie to attack Luffy, but Richie is clearly weak from hunger and exhaustion. When Luffy realizes that Richie has been abused and starved, he becomes angry—not just at Mohji, but at Buggy's entire crew for mistreating animals and innocent people.

A fight breaks out. Despite Mohji's confidence, he proves to be no match for Luffy's strength and Devil Fruit abilities. Luffy defeats Mohji easily, sending him flying and freeing Richie from his control. Richie, grateful and loyal, refuses to abandon his defeated master, showing that even among pirates, bonds still exist.

Meanwhile, Nami is introduced more clearly. She steals Buggy's treasure map and sneaks around Orange Town with her own goals in mind. She makes it clear she hates pirates but is willing to work with them if it benefits her. The episode sets up the coming conflict with Buggy himself and hints that Nami's past with pirates is complicated.

Episode 7 – Grand Duel! Zoro the Swordsman vs. Cabaji the Acrobat!

Zoro enters Orange Town and quickly runs into Cabaji, another of Buggy's officers. Cabaji is flashy and arrogant, using tricks, fire, spinning tops, and acrobatics to fight. When Zoro learns that Cabaji is part of the crew terrorizing the town, he challenges him directly.

The battle highlights Zoro's pride and determination. Even though Zoro has already suffered injuries from his earlier fight with Mihawk, he refuses to back down. Cabaji mocks Zoro for being wounded and tries to exploit his weakness with dirty tactics. Despite this, Zoro pushes through the pain, determined to prove his strength as a swordsman.

During the fight, the town's mayor, Boodle, appears. He tries to protect the town's remaining treasure—a small box that represents the citizens' last hope. Buggy's crew wants it badly, believing it contains something valuable. Zoro manages to defeat Cabaji with a powerful sword strike, even while injured, proving his resilience and skill.

This episode emphasizes Zoro's sense of honor and foreshadows his dream of becoming the world's greatest swordsman. It also shows that Buggy's crew relies more on intimidation and tricks than true strength.

Episode 8 – Who Is the Victor? Devil Fruit Power Showdown!

Buggy finally confronts Luffy. He reveals the power of the Chop-Chop Fruit, which allows him to split his body into pieces and control them independently. Because Luffy is a rubber man, Buggy realizes that blunt attacks won't work—and Buggy's cutting attacks are especially dangerous to Luffy.

Buggy uses knives, cannons, and even separates his body to confuse and attack Luffy from multiple directions. Luffy struggles at first, taking real damage from Buggy's blades. This fight is different from previous ones: Luffy can't simply overpower his opponent.

Nami becomes involved when Buggy captures her. Buggy assumes she's loyal to his crew, but she betrays him instantly when given the chance. Using her intelligence, Nami figures out Buggy's weakness: although his body can separate, his feet must stay grounded to maintain control.

With Nami's help, Luffy grabs Buggy's body parts and throws them around, completely disrupting his control. Buggy is humiliated, enraged, and defeated—not just physically, but mentally. This episode highlights the importance of teamwork and intelligence over raw strength.

Episode 9 – Honorable Liar? Captain Usopp Appears!

The story shifts to Syrup Village, where a young man named Usopp lives. Usopp is known throughout the village as a liar who constantly cries "Pirates are coming!" His lies annoy the villagers, but they tolerate him because they know he means no harm.

In reality, Usopp tells these lies to keep Kaya, a sick and lonely wealthy girl, entertained and hopeful. Usopp visits her daily, spinning exaggerated pirate stories to make her laugh. His lies, though false, come from kindness and a desire to protect others.

Luffy, Zoro, and Nami arrive in Syrup Village searching for a ship. Luffy is immediately amused by Usopp and befriends him. However, real danger appears when Usopp overhears a conversation between Kuro, Kaya's butler, and pirate captain Jango. Usopp learns that Kuro plans to kill Kaya and steal her fortune.

When Usopp tries to warn the village, no one believes him—assuming it's another lie. The episode ends with Usopp facing the painful reality that his reputation may prevent him from saving the people he cares about most.

Episode 10 – The Weirdest Guy Ever! Jango the Hypnotist!

Usopp decides to act on his own. Determined to protect Kaya, he tries to stop Kuro's plan without help. Luffy's crew initially doubts him but eventually chooses to assist after seeing his sincerity.

Kuro is revealed to be a former pirate captain who faked his death years ago to live a quiet life and steal Kaya's wealth. His plan is ruthless and calculated. Jango, his hypnotist ally, uses his abilities to manipulate people, making the threat even more dangerous.

Usopp, despite being scared and physically weak, stands his ground. This episode highlights his bravery—not because he's fearless, but because he acts even while terrified. Luffy respects this deeply and officially considers Usopp a friend.

The stage is set for a larger battle, with Kuro's crew approaching and Syrup Village in danger. The episode closes by reinforcing one of One Piece's core themes: true courage isn't about strength—it's about protecting what matters to you .
