As Tony flew away from the exhibition hall, sixteen Iron Man soldiers on the stage immediately took off and chased after him.
The other sixteen quickly rushed out of the exhibition hall to the square outside, setting up their anti-aircraft guns and tracking missiles to attack Tony.
The powerful firepower forced Tony to rely on the Iron Man Suit's flexibility to dodge continuously, completely unable to launch an effective counterattack.

He certainly couldn't violate Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration, but he could deal with these robots more simply: just destroy them directly.
