Lilian had expected the bonding chamber to be something ceremonial like candles arranged in circles, ancient symbols, bowls of blood, or any ritualistic preparations. Something that was characteristically representing the vampire traditions.
Instead, it was simply a bedroom which was larger than hers, with a massive bed draped in dark silk sheets. Soft lighting created an intimate atmosphere, and she could smell jasmine faintly in the air.
All the three vampire princes were already there, waiting for her.
Dante stood by the window, wearing simple black pants and nothing else. Adrian sat in the edge of the bed, dressed similarly. His hands rested on his knees, his fingers tapping a nervous rhythm that was oddly endearing.
