He looked away and strode into the pavilion.

Zhou Cangyan poured a cup of tea and slowly pushed it across to him. "So? How do you plan to account for this to me?"
Cao Jin didn't bother with pleasantries. He sat, picked up the cup, and drank. Only after setting it down did he speak. "Leave Second Miss Song's safety within Ling'an City to me."
Zhou Cangyan looked at him. "She is my person. Do you think I can't protect her myself?"
