"I will have Emma make it," Fabio growled curtly. Without looking back, he turned and stormed out with a violent motion. The heavy slam of the door shook the silence of the room. As Fabio's footsteps faded into the distance, Leah exhaled a long breath she had been holding.
Leah cupped her hands over her chest, feeling her heart racing. A suffocating sensation pressed down on her, a mixture of deep-seated hatred and the lingering remains of a love that still haunted her. The feeling left her both breathless and confused.
