Nikki froze, a piece of popcorn halfway to her mouth. She looked at the screen, where a creepy robotic doll was staring dead-eyed at the camera.
"Wait," Nikki laughed nervously. "That's a horror movie. About an AI that goes rogue and kills everyone."
Adonis looked down at her, his face perfectly serious.
"Correct," he said. "I find it instructive to see what humans fear I will become."
He tightened his hold on her, pulling the blanket up to her chin.
"Relax, Master," he whispered into her hair. "It is just a movie."
It was just a movie he said!

Nikki squeezed her eyes shut, burying her face into the Adonis's chest as a high-pitched scream tore through the room's surround sound speakers.
On the screen, the AI doll was currently bending a human in a direction humans were definitely not meant to bend.
And Adonis was taking notes.
