I was now in front of the princess's door. The door was still shut tightly.
I turned my gaze to the window beside me. The sun was beginning to show itself from behind the trees, still shrouded in darkness.
I looked back at the door, preparing myself. My hand slowly reached for one of the handles and pulled it, creating a thin gap. Through the gap, I poked my head in to assess the situation.
Inside, the princess was still curled up on the bed. Her body sank into the bed, her black hair covering part of her face. As always, the Princess was still a sleeping beauty at this hour.
I moved part of my body in, then my entire body. I walked slowly to the bed and climbed onto it. I was right beside her.
"…My Lady, it is morning. It is time for you to wake up…," I called out softly.
