Chapter 8 - Su Meng Goes Home

"Mengmeng, come on, let's keep writing. Today, Mengmeng will learn her own name, okay?" Jiang Ning said to Mengmeng with a smile.

"Yes, Uncle Jiang, Mengmeng will be very serious." Mengmeng said in a childish voice, full of confidence.

"Mengmeng is so good. Come on, Uncle Jiang will tell you about the origin of the name 'Mengmeng'. The top part is the grass radical, which means Mengmeng is like a little grass, constantly growing. The next part is the sun and moon, which means 'bright,' like the word for tomorrow. It means Mengmeng will have a better tomorrow. So, what do two 'Mengmeng's represent?"

"Hehe, Uncle Jiang, I know this. It means Mengmeng's tomorrow will be even better than tomorrow."

"Mm, Mengmeng is great, you understand it so quickly." Jiang Ning couldn't help but stroke Mengmeng's innocent and cute face.

"Yes, Uncle Jiang, why is it the grass radical on top and not the flower radical? Mengmeng likes flowers." Mengmeng asked, puzzled.

"Mengmeng, will flowers wither?"

Mengmeng nodded seriously: "Yes."

"Will that grass wither?"

Mengmeng thought about it. She really hadn't seen any small grass wither before. "Uncle Jiang, it doesn't seem like it will."

"That's right. So, Mengmeng will never wither, and she'll be fine tomorrow and the day after, right?"

"Yes, I understand, Uncle Jiang. I like the name Mengmeng." After being guided by Jiang Ning, Mengmeng seemed even happier and loved her name even more.

She began to write even more diligently.

Jiang Ning wrote a stroke, and she followed suit, mimicking him.

Just like that, the characters Mengmeng finally wrote were surprisingly beautiful, nothing like the handwriting of a three-year-old.

You have to know that Jiang Ning's calligraphy is now at a Grandmaster Level.

Mengmeng's painstakingly copied characters for "Mengmeng" were even neater than those of some elementary school students.

An hour quickly passed.

"Alright, Mengmeng, you play by yourself for a bit. Uncle Jiang's going to make dinner."

"Mm, Uncle Jiang, make the food as delicious as it was at noon, okay?" Mengmeng licked her lips and said expectantly.

It seemed she was still savoring the taste of the midday meal.

"Sure." Jiang Ning nodded, stood up, and walked into the kitchen, starting to get busy.

There was too much leftover food from noon.

Jiang Ning learned from the experience. Mengmeng and Su Meng's combined appetites weren't even half that of an adult.

So this time, Jiang Ning used a little bit of rice to cook the meal.

Although he prepared three dishes, one meat dish, and one soup, the portions were less than half of what he made at noon.

Each dish was served on a small plate.

However, he put a lot of effort into the appearance of the dishes, using his carving knife.

He made each dish look like a work of art, so much so that one almost didn't want to use chopsticks and ruin it.

"Mommy, Mommy, you're back! Mommy, come and look, Mengmeng can write her own name today!" Mengmeng's excited shouts came from the living room.

It was Su Meng returning from work.

"Yes, good girl, Mengmeng." Su Meng changed her shoes and was pulled to the balcony by Mengmeng.

When she saw the words written by Mengmeng, she was incredulous.

"Mengmeng, are you sure these are your words?" Su Meng picked up the paper and examined it carefully.

"Yes, Uncle Jiang taught me how to write my own name. Here, this one was written by Uncle Jiang." Mengmeng eagerly showed Su Meng the words written by Jiang Ning.

After Su Meng took out the words written by Jiang Ning, she was also stunned.

She hadn't expected Jiang Ning's calligraphy to be so beautiful; it was at least Master Level.

Moreover, Mengmeng's handwriting also had a six- or seven-point resemblance to Jiang Ning's style.

"Mengmeng, are you sure Uncle Jiang didn't help you write this?" Su Meng still asked with some disbelief.

"No, Uncle Jiang wrote each stroke, and I followed along. Mengmeng wrote it herself. Is it pretty?" Mengmeng's adorable expression seemed to say, "Mommy, praise me!"

Su Meng naturally saw what Mengmeng was thinking and quickly praised with a smile, "That's wonderful, Mengmeng, your handwriting is so beautiful."

"Come on, Mama, I'll take you to the Entertainment Room. Uncle Jiang has organized my Entertainment Room so beautifully. It's such a tidy Entertainment Room, Mengmeng doesn't even want to take anything out to play." Mengmeng continued to chatter as she pulled Su Meng to the second floor.

When Su Meng entered the Entertainment Room, she was stunned again.

The toys were arranged neatly, even more impressive than a military parade.

Each toy was placed in order, like soldiers standing at attention.

How much effort must have gone into organizing this?

Even Su Meng didn't want to touch those toys, afraid she wouldn't know how to put them back after taking them out.

She had no idea that Jiang Ning had spent a whole hour tirelessly tidying up, again and again, to expand the system space.

It seems Jiang Ning is a very clean 그. Su Meng's favorable impression and trust in Jiang Ning increased quite a bit.

She believed that even the housekeeper she'd hired couldn't have worked with such efficiency.

"Mengmeng, what did Uncle Jiang do with you today?" Su Meng asked curiously.

"This morning, Uncle Jiang and I did puzzles. Oh, right, Mom, I'm really good at puzzles now. If you don't believe me, Mom, mess it up, and I'll put it together for you right now." Mengmeng said, picking up the wooden puzzle and handing it to Su Meng.

Then, she covered her face with her hands, with two big eyes peeking through her fingers, staring at the puzzle.

Su Meng naturally didn't expose her, smiling as she took the puzzle and turned it around from the outside.

Then she handed it to Mengmeng, "Okay, let's see how amazing my Mengmeng is?"

Mengmeng took the puzzle, a little disdainful. "Mom, this is too easy."

After Mengmeng finished speaking, she quickly put it together, finishing in less than thirty seconds.

This made Su Meng a little embarrassed.

"Alright, then Mom will get you a more complicated one."

After Su Meng said this, she increased the difficulty, but it was only about twice as complex as before.

Although Mengmeng was suspected of peeking.

She still finished it quickly.

However, Su Meng didn't think it was that simple; she was only three years old.

Such a good memory, and so quick to react.

Su Meng increased the difficulty fivefold.

This time, Mengmeng took a bit longer.

Su Meng secretly gloated, "Hmph, let's see you now, little girl. You're going to stumble this time, aren't you? You think jigsaw puzzles are easy without a lesson?"

Because with the order scrambled like this, a typical third-grade student wouldn't be able to solve it; it would just get more and more chaotic.

However, ten minutes later.

A lovely little girl's image appeared on the puzzle board.

Su Meng was once again shocked.

She didn't even know how Jiang Ning had managed to teach Mengmeng to this extent in a single day.

She also couldn't figure out how he'd taught Mengmeng to write so well, and furthermore, to cook so deliciously.

She was going abroad on a business trip for three months tomorrow, and she was starting to feel more and more relieved.

"So, what else did Uncle Jiang do with you?" Su Meng asked, still very curious.

"At noon, Uncle Jiang told me stories to help me take a nap. When I woke up, he watched TV with me for a while, then taught me how to draw, and then took me out to play ball. When we came back, he gave me a bath, and, um, taught me to write, too." Mengmeng scratched the back of her head with one hand, trying hard to remember.

It felt like all of that had happened a long time ago.

"Then, why haven't I seen Mengmeng's drawings?"

"Come on, Mommy, I'll take you to see my drawings. They're really pretty." After speaking, Mengmeng, with a touch of pride, grabbed Su Meng's hand and walked into the elevator.

"Hehe, then does Mengmeng like it if Uncle Jiang plays with you in the future?"

Mengmeng answered without hesitation, "Hehe, I do! I really, really like Uncle Jiang. Uncle Jiang is very, very amazing, you know."
