Alethrisha POV
I was in my office, attending to work-related issues. I called for Mike.
"When is our next meeting with Williams?" I asked.
"Next month, young miss. Two weeks from now," he replied.
A few days ago, Williams had called. He wouldn't be available and asked if we could talk via video call. I agreed, and Mike relayed my response to Williams' assistant.
After Mike left, I stood by the window, gazing at the city. A pang of uncertainty hit me. He probably just sees me as a business partner. I sighed.
Time passed quickly. The day of the video call arrived. We updated each other on progress. He apologized for missing our previous meeting due to an important contractor.
At the end, he asked if he could get my personal number. I agreed. I noticed the faint excitement in his eyes. I smiled slightly. We ended the call.
