Do you think they'd miss me?
The ones who text and the ones who don't?
The ones who check in and the ones checked out
The ones that can't and the ones that wont
The ones not bothered by hundreds of miles
The ones who drive and fly and train
Who come all this way to make me smile
Or the ones that haven't bothered to say hello
Never called, came over, or cared
Especially after the grief, the loss
As if they don't know
The hospital visits and therapy and meds
The fear and anguish and pure despair
The lonely, shame, all the feelings in my head
I wonder if my eulogy will be left unwritten
The pews empty and dull
When I'm dead, alls forgiven
At least I won't be lonely
I have people waiting for me
