Bella's POV
I was actually having a good time for once.
A real one
Kate and I were sitting outside in the garden, under the wide trees that gave just enough shade. A maid had brought us fresh juice, cold and sweet, and I was sipping mine slowly like I didn't have a care in the world.
Kate was talking.
Talking a lot.
She was telling me about Endorlave—its strange holidays, weird traditions, and the kind of fun people had here. Apparently, they liked night festivals, moon dances, and long feasts that lasted until morning.
Sounds exhausting, if you ask me.
"So during the Moon Rise Festival," Kate said, smiling, "everyone stays awake till dawn. Even the elders dance."
I laughed. "I would pay good money to see that."
She laughed too. "You would like it here, Bella. Once you get used to it."
I shrugged. "Maybe. As long as nobody tries to marry me off to a stranger with fangs."
She opened her mouth to reply—
And then—
"BELLA!"
