Friday, November 13, 2026. Humanity faced a danger that had never appeared in history before.
It was not gunfire and war, nor natural disasters. It was something far beyond that.
The sky was illuminated by the red color of blood. Those drenched by the rain, those bathed in moonlight, even the air they constantly breathed was continuously transforming them.
The changes happened rapidly, or silently. The chosen became Awakeners. The unlucky turned into zombies. Some fortunate ones survived, only to face nightmares immediately afterward, when their families suddenly became monsters and turned back to attack the ones they loved. Those who were bitten transformed quickly. Most of them became zombies, but a small number Awakened and became Awakeners, gaining abilities that allowed them to survive in the harsh apocalyptic world to come.
Whether they wanted to face the truth or not, the world was truly turning a page in history that could never be reversed.
