Chapter 335 - Ascending Beyond Humanity

"…What is happening?"

Tohru stood frozen, her breath hitching in her throat. The puny, fragile human man she was entirely obsessed with—the man she wanted to pin down and lick for all eternity—was radiating a terrifying, suffocating heat. Right before her eyes, he was evolving into something she had never witnessed in all her centuries of life.

Meanwhile, Suzuki was in a complete daze. The heavy, metallic taste of the roasted tail meat still lingered on his tongue, but his internal structure felt entirely different.

[Confirmed: Survival instinct of the abandoned (Orphan).]

[Confirmed: Mastery over the laws of absolute logic (Programmer).]

[Confirmed: Successful subjugation and physical conquest of a Chaos-class Dragon (The Slayer).]

[Conditions met. Synthesizing experiences.]

[Acquiring Unique Skill: [Dragon Conqueror]... Successful.]

There were a million things Suzuki wanted to scream at the Manager system, but mostly, he was just bewildered that eating his girlfriend's tail was the catalyst for his ascension.

"Tohru..."

"Y-Yes!" Tohru squeaked, her spine straightening. Hearing the deep, newfound resonance in his voice sent a violent, wet shiver straight down to her core.

"Even if you completely drained the poison from it, you can never feed your tail to anyone again. Understand?" Suzuki said, looking at her guilty, fidgeting form. She looked like a puppy that had just chewed up the carpet.

Sighing, the harshness left his eyes. His gaze softened. "I know you wanted to share a part of yourself with me. But you are someone I care deeply about. Even if you can magically regrow it, the thought of you hacking off your own limbs just to feed me... I can't bear it."

"B-But I don't feel any pain at all!" Tohru desperately argued, her cheeks burning a bright crimson. "I am completely fine! Shedding my tail is totally different from cutting my actual flesh!"

She was staring at him with undisguised, ravenous lust. Whatever evolution he just underwent had perfected his physical form. His presence was intoxicating. If one bite of her tail made him look this incredibly masculine and powerful, she practically wanted to shove the rest of it down his throat.

"Promise me you won't do it again," Suzuki commanded gently. "Especially not to Kobayashi-san. If she ate your meat, her body would literally explode from the sheer density of the magical energy."

Suzuki knew his unique multiverse connection saved him, but Kobayashi? She would pop like a blood balloon. Oxygen was necessary for humans to live, but too much of it became toxic. Tohru's meat was the ultimate poison.

A sudden wave of intense nausea hit him. "Actually... I feel weird. I think I'm going to puke."

"D-Do you need me to come with you?!"

"No, it's fine. It won't be a pleasant sight..."

He rushed to the bathroom, gripping the cold porcelain of the sink. Tohru, completely ignoring his orders, followed closely behind, the soft rustle of her maid uniform filling the silence. Yet, as Suzuki leaned over the toilet, nothing came up. The rolling boil in his stomach was just his cells rapidly restructuring, finalizing the evolution.

Tohru watched him, tilting her head in confusion since eating her tail was that dangerous, then why didn't he die? Or at least explode? She concluded that her mate was just incredibly, undeniably special.

"...." Suzuki wiped the cold sweat from his forehead.

"Are you truly okay...?" Tohru asked, her draconic eyes wide with genuine worry.

Seeing her distress, Suzuki sighed inwardly. He reached out and gently placed his hand on her head, softly stroking her blonde hair. The moment his warm, strong fingers brushed against her scalp, Tohru melted like jelly. A soft, pathetic whimper escaped her lips as she leaned into his touch. Dragons were fundamentally beasts, driven by dominance and pride; this gentle, domestic affection was entirely alien to her—and she was instantly addicted to it.

"I'm fine," Suzuki reassured her. "It seems that among humans, I am an extreme exception. If I had to guess the reason... maybe I'm like Siegfried?"

"Siegfried?"

Pulling out his smartphone, Suzuki tapped the screen and brought up a Wikipedia page, handing it to her.

"Siegfried... the legendary German hero who became completely invincible after bathing in the blood of an evil dragon?!" Tohru's jaw dropped as she read the myth. She actually knew of the evil dragon mentioned in the lore.

It was the most logical explanation. Instead of evolving through endless sex like the Tensura Suzuki, he had evolved by consuming a dragon's flesh.

Deep down, Suzuki knew exactly why this specific path had unlocked. Across the multiverse, there was another Suzuki—one residing in a famous, magic-filled world where guilds fought with the power of friendship and the heroines were notoriously, aggressively well-endowed. Unfortunately, that specific Suzuki was still just a child at the start of his timeline, far from meeting the beautiful women who plastered the covers of countless modern body pillows.

Yet, borrowing that counterpart's potential, Suzuki had become a true Dragon Slayer within the mundane confines of Kobayashi's world.

He had broken free from his mortal shell. His body was now semi-spiritual. His cellular aging had completely halted, his need for sleep had plummeted to near-zero, and his muscle fibers had gained the terrifying structural density required to withstand the crushing, desperate grip of a dragon in heat. If he wanted to, he wouldn't just survive the bedroom anymore—he could absolutely conquer Tohru.

And unlike Siegfried, who had a fatal weakness on his back from a falling leaf, Suzuki was flawless.

"Are you... the descendant of Siegfried, Suzuki-kun?" Tohru asked in awe.

"I don't know. I'm an orphan. I never knew my parents."

"...I'm so sorry."

"Don't be," he smirked slightly. "I don't have parents, but I have you two by my side now."

As Suzuki flexed his newly hardened muscles, a heavy, musky scent suddenly filled the bathroom. He looked down to see Tohru's thick, scaly tail sliding out from beneath her maid skirt. Her eyes were completely hooded, dripping with raw desire.

"So..." she purred, tracing a finger down his chest. "Are you going to show me the true might of a Dragon Slayer?"

"Sure," Suzuki swallowed hard. "But we need to change locations. If we do it here, I'm pretty sure we'll reduce Senpai's apartment to rubble."

"Gladly."

Transforming into her massive draconic form, Tohru carried him out the window, flying toward the deep, isolated mountains where they had first mated. The roaring wind whipped past them, but Suzuki was already calculating how much money he needed to buy a private island. Having a dragon girlfriend meant he needed vast, indestructible spaces to properly satisfy her.

And that afternoon, deep in the wild forest, Tohru truly understood why the title "Dragon Slayer" was well-earned.

Meanwhile, under the flickering, harsh fluorescent lights of Jigokumeguri System Engineering, Kobayashi's stomach was tied in anxious knots.

It wasn't because of the looming deadlines. She was terrified. She couldn't stop comparing her flat, boyish chest and completely unfeminine demeanor to Tohru's massive, jiggling D-cups and flawless curves.

Why did I let them sleep together? she thought, aggressively typing on her keyboard. I can make him hard... I know he likes my body... but compared to her? I'm nothing.

The fear of abandonment gnawed at her soul. What if she opened the door to her apartment tonight and found it completely empty? Just the thought of losing Suzuki and returning to her miserable, lonely life made her chest ache with cold, suffocating depression.

Hours later, she numbly walked out of the office building, the cool evening breeze hitting her face. But as she looked up, she froze.

Standing beneath the streetlights were two incredibly familiar faces.

"You're late, Senpai," Suzuki smiled warmly, his hands shoved into his pockets.

"Is this the so-called 'black company', Suzuki-kun?" Tohru growled, glaring at the office building. "Are they hurting you, Kobayashi-san? Just say the word and I will burn this entire structure to ashes!"

Suzuki had explained the concept of a black company to the dragon, comparing it to a master chaining up slaves. Naturally, Tohru's first instinct was to incinerate the master.

"It's a bit different than ancient slavery, but the result is the same," Suzuki mused philosophically. "The world progressed, but men simply created invisible chains to keep the masses in line. It's much more effective than physical fear."

"What kind of chains?" Tohru blinked.

"The illusion of responsibility, and the absolute terror of poverty."

"...." Tohru stared at him, utterly bewildered by modern capitalism.

"Stop filling her head with edge-lord nonsense!" Kobayashi suddenly laughed, the heavy weight in her chest instantly evaporating. Tears pricked the corners of her eyes, but she quickly wiped them away. She grabbed both of their hands, beaming. "Come on! Let's eat out tonight! Yakitori and drinks for the three of us!"

"Are you crying, Senpai?" Suzuki teased.

"Shut up! No I'm not!"

As the trio happily walked toward a nearby izakaya, the savory smell of grilled meat drifting down the alleyway, a few hidden figures peering from the windows of the office building trembled in absolute terror. The hidden mages of the company could sense the dragon... but more importantly, they sensed him.

What the hell is wrong with that programmer?!

It would take time for this mundane world to fully comprehend the terrifying anomaly Suzuki had become. But in another universe entirely, the origin of his new power was already making waves.

In the magical world of Fairy Tail, the air smelled of spilled ale and dusty wood.

"H-Here is the payment for this month, Tanaka-san..."

Macao Conbolt, the currently acting Fourth Guild Master of Fairy Tail, trembled helplessly. He nervously slid a pouch of clinking coins across the bar counter.

The man sitting opposite him picked up the pouch, weighing it in his hand. "This is only the interest, Macao. Again."

"P-Please forgive us!" Macao bowed deeply, sweating bullets. "Things have been tough! W-We only have enough for the interest this month!"

The young man simply sighed, tucking the pouch into his coat. "I don't really mind. I'm too busy to care right now anyway. You can go back."

"Y-Yes sir! Thank you!" Macao scrambled away as fast as his legs could carry him.

Why was the master of Fairy Tail groveling and paying protection money to a young man? Because during the seven-year disappearance of Fairy Tail's core members, Finn Hoen had become the largest creditor in all of Fiore.
