Chapter 95 - My Day of Life as a Corrupt Hero

"Your ledgers are too simple."

As Suzuki took control of the ministry, he decided to change everything, as he felt that this guy's accounting skills were just too basic. It was too simple, allowing people to discover their corruption.

"...what are you going to do?"

The minister was in a panic, and he couldn't stay calm

"Don't worry. Everyone needs to sign the contract first, and you all just need to follow me."

Still, as the boss, the minister was already under contract, so the rest was as good as controlled. Suzuki wanted to make sure everything was okay, so he didn't waste his time and made sure that all those involved in this grand plan could not defy him.

Absolute Contract.

This was one of his broken skills, meaning that those who dared to break the contract would face immediate consequences.

This was also why, even though he could see the minister's killing intent, it was fine, as he knew that as soon as they had the intent, they would immediately face the consequences.

Instead, he wanted them to send their assassins or try to report him immediately; that way, he could get everything from them.

Also—

"Let me show you a real embezzlement."

Suzuki didn't waste his time, and the real embezzlement was especially evident when he combined it with his knowledge of modern creative accounting.

The minister was at a loss, afraid, and nervous, yet when he saw the books, he was at a loss for a while, filled with various emotions from excitement, fear, and doubt.

"...is-is this really okay?"

No, he knew that it was okay. The accounts were perfect, and no one could doubt it. What Suzuki had done was the most perfect accounting ledgers, so that no one in the kingdom or the church could see how much money he had drained from the treasury.

"It is."

Suzuki looked at the minister and even said, "Instead of wasting your time here, you should go and help me to create shell companies, fictitious mercenary guilds, and imaginary supply vendors."

"....." The minister.

"Hurry up!"

"Y-Yes, sir!"

When the minister left, Suzuki, who was in charge of everything, quickly took away a massive chunk of the treasury budget. Naturally, he wasn't a demon, so he took only 80% of the total embezzlement, and he gave the minister 20%, since this guy didn't do anything except use his own influence.

Also, as the minister was under his mercy, there was nothing this old guy could do.

Yet, without a doubt, when the minister was ready with the shell companies, he could have had the kingdom pay massive sums of gold to these fake entities, which would funnel directly into his spatial storage.

In other words, he would get a lot of money without doing anything, since when he taught the minister and his group, all he had to do was just receive the money, and no one would doubt him, as he had created a perfectly balanced budget, mathematically flawless that he believed when the King and the Church saw it, they would thank him furiously at how he had helped the budget management of the country; when the truth the actual flow of mana and gold was diverted to his private accounts.

Yes, he had made the kingdom bleed invisibility, and it didn't even realize that it would go bankrupt soon, as they just assumed that the "Demon War" was getting more expensive.

By then, what would happen?

They would raise the taxes, and when that happened, he knew they would be under his mercy.

Still, how could he do all of this perfectly?

After all, he was just about to be a university student, right?

If there was a reason for that, it was the "Manager," who helped him handle the troublesome taxes and ensured there were no errors.

Besides being able to optimize his work, helping him maximize the results of his hard work, it seemed that the "Manager" also had the ability to affect the work of those who were registered under him, as if they were linked by him in a relationship such as a lover, a friend, but more importantly, employees or followers.

As long as people worked under him, they would hardly make a mistake, as if they had become a perfect machine to execute his orders.

This was the best, he thought.

After all, in many cases, the number one problem in the business had always been a human error, as people usually had the ego that blinded them, and it was the same with the minister, who had already thought of killing him.

"Kill him. Make him swift and clean before the others realize."

The minister, who went out after being tasked by Suzuki to create shell companies, felt an intense anger and humiliation, and without any hesitation, he called his most vicious assassins.

Naturally, as he could stand in the position of the minister, he wasn't stupid, so he did research on Suzuki first, and knew that Suzuki was just a Merchant, a non-combatant job, and among those who were summoned from another world, even if Suzuki disappeared, it didn't matter.

After all, what the kingdom needed was only those fighters, a group of silly young people, who thought that they were heroes when the truth was that they were nothing but tools or weapons used by the kingdom and the church to fight against the demons, as the war had become more expensive to them.

Yet he knew he couldn't let the kingdom know, and this act had to be done quietly, but considering Suzuki's Merchant, he knew Suzuki might leave the castle.

"When he leaves the castle, don't show him mercy. Give him a death sentence as soon as possible. Don't leave any traces."

He might have been humiliated by a young man, but even so, he wasn't so clouded as to torment Suzuki. Instead, he had to thank Suzuki for teaching him valuable knowledge on how to embellish the kingdom's treasury.

'Don't worry. I will make you the most expensive graveyard.'

"Yes, Sir—"

The assassin was ready to follow the order, but all of a sudden, he collapsed.

"....." The minister.

"...what are you doing?"

The minister was confused, but the assassin had his memory, stats, and his skills completely wiped.

Without Suzuki's ability to do anything, the assassin had become a blank, smiling husk with the intelligence of a toddler.

"Did you send an assassin to me?"

The minister suddenly heard a voice, but he couldn't speak; his heart filled with terror.

"Don't look for me. I am talking to you from the head. As you have signed that contract, you are tied to me."

"I..."

"Don't worry." Suzuki didn't get angry. "Send as many people as you want, since the result is the same. The healers are going to assume that all of those people have suffered a random, tragic stroke."

Gulp!

"Naturally, when you aren't used to me, you will be the next, so be useful, okay?"

The minister couldn't even do anything, as he plopped on the ground, and he could only stare at the ceiling in a daze, thinking that he had become Suzuki's dog for the rest of his life.

"Ahahahaha...."

As the minister laughed nervously, Suzuki checked his status and never thought he could get an extra job.
