Chapter 23 - Chapter 23: The Rising Tent

The canopy overhead had become a solid ceiling of black leaves, blocking out the moon and stars, leaving Kian and Daisy to navigate by the faint, bioluminescent glow of moss and the terrifying, rhythmic pulsing of sleeping bug Pokémon.

It was too late to turn back. The path they had been following had dissolved into a tangled mess of roots and ferns hours ago.

Kian took a step forward, his boot hovering over a patch of seemingly innocuous tall grass.

"Stop!"

Daisy's hand shot out, grabbing his wrist with a grip that was surprisingly strong. She yanked him back violently.

Kian stumbled, barely keeping his balance. "What the hell, Daisy? I was just—"

"Look," she hissed, her voice trembling. She pointed a shaking finger at the grass he had been about to crush.

Kian squinted. There, curled in the underbrush, was a Weedle. But in the dark, it didn't look like the cute, low-level fodder from the games. Its segmented body glistened with a toxic sheen, and the stinger on its head was glowing with a faint, threatening purple light. It was asleep, but its mandibles clicked softly.

"If you stepped on that," Daisy whispered, leaning close to his ear, "it wouldn't just be a poison sting. Weedles have a distress pheromone. If you hurt one, the Beedrills come. And not just one. The swarm."

She looked up at him, her brown eyes wide with genuine fear. "We can't afford to find them right now, Kian. Beedrills in the wild are vicious. They don't battle to faint; they battle to kill."

Kian gulped, the dryness in his throat making the sound audible. He looked at the sleeping worm, then back at the endless dark of the trees. The buzzing sound in the distance seemed louder now, like a warning siren.

"Yeah," Kian murmured, wiping sweat from his forehead. "You're right. I... didn't see it."

"This forest is looking more dangerous as the night is becoming young," Daisy said, her voice dropping to a hush. She released his wrist but stayed close, her shoulder brushing against his arm. "We can't keep walking blindly. One wrong step and we're dead. We need to find a place to sleep. Now."

"Agreed," Kian said. "A clearing. Something with natural cover."

They moved forward, but slower this time. The dynamic had shifted. The bickering was gone, replaced by a tense, synchronized survival instinct. Every snap of a twig sounded like a gunshot.

They walked for another ten minutes, their eyes scanning the ground for a patch of flat earth. The terrain was uneven, riddled with protruding roots that looked like snakes in the shadows.

"I think I see something over th—" Daisy started to say, pointing toward a break in the trees.

Crack.

Her foot caught the edge of a jagged stone hidden beneath a layer of dead leaves.

"Ah!"

It happened in slow motion. Daisy pitched forward, her hands flailing to catch herself. She hit the ground hard, landing on her hands and knees.

The momentum of the fall did exactly what gravity demanded. Her short, white pleated skirt, already dangerously high, rode up.

Kian, standing just a step behind her, froze.

The beam of moonlight finding its way through a rare gap in the leaves acted like a spotlight. Daisy was bent over on all fours, her ass hiked up in the air. The skirt had bunched up around her waist, completely exposing her lower half.

She was wearing pale blue panties with a small white bow at the center.

They were tight, cutting slightly into the soft, plush flesh of her ass cheeks. The fabric clung to her curves, outlining the roundness of her buttocks and the heat radiating from between her thighs. From this angle, Kian could see the slight shadow of her cleft, the way her thighs pressed together.

It was a view that no man was supposed to see—the Professor's granddaughter, the haughty, high-class researcher, presented like a feral offering in the dirt.

Kian's reaction was instant and biological. The blood rushed from his brain straight to his groin.

"Fuck," he breathed out, the word escaping him before he could stop it.

His jeans tightened painfully. His cock hardened in seconds, throbbing against the denim, expanding until it formed a prominent, undeniable tent in his pants. The image of her defenseless, bent over before him, burned itself into his retinas.

Daisy groaned, shaking her head as she recovered from the shock of the fall. She pushed herself up, wincing as she brushed the dirt from her palms.

"Ugh..." she whimpered, "I am so clumsy. First the map, now this..."

She scrambled to her feet, her face burning with embarrassment. She quickly smoothed her skirt down, unaware that Kian had just spent five seconds staring at her most intimate areas.

She turned around, forcing a nervous, self-deprecating laugh. "I swear, this forest is cursed. I just tripped over nothing."

She looked up at Kian, expecting him to make a snarky comment or roll his eyes.

"Kian?"

He was staring at her. His eyes were dark, dilated, and intense. He wasn't looking at her face. He was looking lower.

Daisy's gaze followed his. She looked down at his midsection.

Her breath hitched.

The bulge in his jeans was impossible to miss. It was massive, straining against the zipper, stretching the fabric in a way that left absolutely nothing to the imagination. The head of his cock was clearly outlined against his thigh.

He was rock hard.

Daisy stared at it for a full three seconds, her brain struggling to process the visual. He had gotten hard. Just now. Because she fell. Because he saw...

Her eyes snapped back up to his face. Her cheeks flushed a violent, deep crimson that was visible even in the dark.

"You..." she stammered, pointing a trembling finger at the bulge. "What the fuck..."
