Chapter 2 - 2)Echoes of Lost Knowledge

This is a story from thousands of years in the future. Over time, humans advanced greatly in technology. A time came when from a person's first breath until death, their entire life depended on technology.

Due to the excessive use of this technology, humans lost all their natural abilities in evaluation. They no longer had the physical strength they once had, nor the knowledge they once possessed. Gradually, everything was erased with time.

Just as the flame of a lamp rises the highest just before it goes out, in the same way this era too reached its peak. And then the end of this age of modernization began.

Eventually, due to certain incidents in this advanced age, humans realized their true potential and once again turned toward that ancient knowledge to reawaken it.

This is the story of that very time. On one side, most humans are still living like sheep in this modern era, without understanding the purpose of life. Meanwhile, a very small group has realized the value of life and turned back toward knowledge.

Among them is Yug. This understanding had been passed down to him through generations, and he preserved it even in this modern age.

He went deeper into history and learned that the legends and ancient scriptures are not just imaginary tales. Humans have lost many of their abilities from those times to the present.

He immersed himself in history and studied many scriptures and sacred texts. In the end, he was able to regain a portion of that knowledge. In his later years, he began passing it on to the new generation and trained many disciples.

Among his current students is the group of Ansh and Sapna. This group has five members: Ansh, Sapna, Adhir, Suraj, and Sheetal.

Many people joined for training, and many left midway to follow their own paths. But Yug had great hopes for this group of five.

So far in their training, he taught them to recognize the power within themselves through mantra recitation, along with combat skills, battle strategy, and knowledge of scriptures.

A glimpse of the past…

Following the teaching methods described in the ancient scriptures, Yug had built a Gurukul (traditional learning school). There, he taught in a natural environment.

It is the first phase of the morning. According to the daily routine, after worshiping God and the deities, he is now giving lessons.

Yug is seated on the platform beneath a large tree. Addressing his disciples sitting in front of him, he says, "Today's topic is the similarity between the human body and the universe, and how this similarity is important in our teachings." After a brief pause, he asks, "Who can tell me what the human body is made of?"

His disciples, who were aged between 4 and 8 years, listen eagerly. Two or three of them raise their hands. Yug signals Adhir to answer.

Adhir says, "According to our scriptures, the human body is made of the five fundamental elements: fire, water, air, earth, and space."

Yug replies, "Good. Now what is the importance of these five elements?"

Sapna answers, "They show that the human body is made of different substances."

Yug explains, "Yes. But they not only represent the physical parts of our body, but also show that everything in the universe, and even the universe itself, is made of these five elements. That is why they also reveal the similarity between our body and the vast, unimaginable cosmos."

Sapna asks curiously, "How do these five elements show the similarity between the universe and us?"

"Before I explain, everyone sit in a state of meditation, because what I say must be deeply contemplated," Yug says as he himself sits in meditation.

All the disciples sit in meditation.

Yug begins:

"The first element is fire. It represents energy. Just as energy is required for every activity in the universe, humans too need energy for all tasks, small or large. From the movement of body parts, to the functioning of internal organs, to even a small thought, energy is essential. To perform any work in this world, this energy is necessary. That is why it is important to know the source of this energy and how to control it.

The second element is air, which represents movement. Nothing in the universe is completely still. Everything moves relative to something else: humans on Earth, planets around the sun, the sun within the galaxy, and galaxies within the universe. But this movement remains balanced only when it is in harmony with time. If it goes beyond time or fails to keep pace with it, the system collapses and destruction occurs. In our body too, moving air provides the necessary oxygen, and for that, proper control of breathing is essential. Similarly, humans keep running in life to achieve something, and the mind runs even faster. It is important for humans to balance their pace with time and with their own mind.

The third element is water. It represents flow. As we discussed, nothing in this world is static. Everything moves forward in some kind of flow. Just as the universe flows, and rivers flow along their paths adapting to circumstances, so does energy in the world shift from one form to another according to situations. This is how the universe functions. Likewise, the fluids in the human body must flow properly to keep it working well. Neither their quantity nor their speed should exceed what is required. This element teaches us that humans too must adapt to time and circumstances in order to live properly.

The fourth element is earth, which represents stability. We learned earlier that nothing is truly still. Even the universe is in motion. Then what is stability? Everything in the universe moves, but even within that movement, stability is essential. For example, humans move on Earth, planets move in their orbits, and the solar system moves within the universe, yet there is still a relative stability among them. In the same way, the solid parts of our body provide physical stability. This element teaches us that humans must remain steady in all situations of life. Often, emotions disturb a person's stability and decision-making.

The last element is space. It represents emptiness or openness. The space between two universes, and even between the smallest particles of an atom, gives existence to life. This space allows the other four elements to function and express their qualities. In the human body too, this space enables the other four elements to work. If one understands this emptiness, from the beginning to the end of life, from human to God, then the distance between man and the divine disappears, and one reaches infinity."

"So this is how the five elements show the similarity between the human body and the universe," Yug concludes.

Ansh asks, "These elements explain life and how to live according to circumstances. They help us understand the universe better, but what is their importance in our combat training?"

Yug replies, "If you understand these five elements deeply within your own body, you will also understand the five elements of the universe. You will learn how they arise and function, and then you can control them. Through mastery over these elements, you can gain unimaginable power and use it."

Yug asked everyone to open their eyes.

He placed a lamp in front of himself, then formed a mudra with his hand and chanted a mantra. The lamp flared to life.

Everyone watched in astonishment. Drawing their attention again, Yug said,

"I can only invoke fire, not control it, because during the course of evolution our ancestors lost the skill required for that ability. It would take me thousands of years to regain it. But an event that happened five years ago has returned that capability to you. So I will teach you the knowledge through which you can gain it and learn to control it."

In this way, Yug had trained everyone for the last five years. Along with this education, he provided training in various war strategies and different weapons.

During these five years, they formed a group of five people.

As a result of this training, these five achieved some special abilities. One of their most important attainments was the power to create a protective shield around themselves against any physical attack.

In addition, Sapna could control air, Suraj could control fire, Shital could control water, and Ansh had gained partial control over earth and space.

Adhir could also create a protective shield around himself, but he had no control over any of the other elements. However, he was clever. He excelled at planning and could easily use various modern devices, which allowed him to stand alongside the others despite not having elemental control.
