Chapter 74 - Chapter 74 Brothers' Night Talk

  Chapter 74 Brothers' Night Talk

Uchiha Touhuan thought for a moment, then led Sasuke to the study, picked out a scroll, unrolled it, tore it open, and handed him a small portion.

"What's this?" Sasuke asked, puzzled by Touhuan's actions.

"It's a taijutsu and ninjutsu technique I created when I was ten years old, called 'Lightning-Stepping Body Flicker Technique,'" Touhuan explained. "It's also the introductory ninjutsu for my self-created Lightning Release chakra mode."

"Go back and practice the first part of the taijutsu. Although it's just ordinary taijutsu, it should be enough for you to dominate the ninja academy," Touhuan said. "And don't stop practicing the lightning balls either."

"What about the rest?" Sasuke asked, looking at the half-finished scroll in his hand.

"You can't learn the rest now. Once your chakra reserves and control are sufficient to simultaneously manipulate four lightning balls like you did just now, I'll teach you the rest," Touhuan said.

"Okay," Sasuke nodded and put the scroll away.

"Alright, it's getting late, you should go home too," said Uchiha Touhuan.

Uchiha Touhuan escorted Sasuke to the door, and as soon as he opened it, he saw Uchiha Itachi waiting there.

"Brother!" Sasuke ran to his brother, whom he hadn't seen in a long time.

Uchiha Itachi reached out and caught Sasuke, affectionately patting his head.

"Itachi, you're back from your mission," Uchiha Touhuan asked, leaning against the door. "You two brothers have a really good relationship, coming to pick up your brother as soon as you get back."

"Yeah," Itachi nodded, looking at Uchiha Touhuan, but his gaze was somewhat unfriendly.

Seeing his expression, Uchiha Touhuan didn't seem to mind, saying, "It's good you're here, saves me the trouble of taking this kid home. Sasuke, go home with your brother."

"Yes!" Sasuke, clinging to Itachi's back, turned and said, "Goodbye, Master!"

"Goodbye." Uchiha Touhuan smiled and waved to Sasuke before closing the door.

On the way back, Sasuke, carried on Itachi's back, kept talking.

"Brother, Master is so amazing! I practiced his ninjutsu for so long before I could do it like him."

"Really? Uchiha Touhuan is a genius of our clan. To be able to learn his ninjutsu, it seems your talent isn't bad either, Sasuke." Although Itachi was preoccupied with his own thoughts, he patiently spoke to his younger brother.

After a while, Itachi continued, "Sasuke, besides teaching you ninjutsu, what else did your master teach you?"

Itachi was a little nervous when he asked this question; he was really afraid that Uchiha Touhuan would instill his ambition in his adorable little brother.

"Yes!" Sasuke exclaimed, as if showing off his new toy to his closest friend. "My teacher told me a lot of interesting stories and taught me many principles of life."

Hearing this, Itachi Uchiha's heart tightened. Had his adorable younger brother really been corrupted by Uchiha Touhuan?

"What did he teach you?" Itachi asked hastily.

"Well, my teacher taught me many principles, some of which I still don't understand, but some I think are very true," Sasuke said. Itachi

wanted to ask more, but since they had already arrived at their doorstep, Sasuke said to Itachi, "I'll tell you the details after we eat."      "Okay." Itachi Uchiha nodded and entered the house with Sasuke.

"Mom, I'm home!" Sasuke called out energetically at the door.

"You're back, Sasuke. Go wash your hands and eat." Mikoto's face softened with a gentle smile as she saw her energetic youngest son. "And Itachi, go wash your hands too, dinner's ready."

"Okay." Itachi Uchiha nodded and led Sasuke toward the bathroom. However, he didn't see Fugaku in the dining room, which puzzled him. He turned and asked, "Mom, hasn't Father come home yet?"

"Yes, the security force seems to have a big mission lately. Your father said he won't be home for dinner for the next few days." Mikoto said, serving the two brothers their meals.

After the two brothers sat down at the table, Sasuke immediately began to wolf down his food. He had used up a lot of chakra while showing off his learning in front of Uchiha Touhuan, and now he was hungry.

"Sasuke, eat slowly." Mikoto shook her head helplessly after watching Sasuke finish a bowl of rice, then served him another.

"Hehe, Mom's cooking is the best," Sasuke said with a grin. "Even Naruto said that after eating Mom's bento."

"Is that so?" Mikoto laughed. "Then it seems I'll have to pack more bentos for Naruto tomorrow. By the way, Sasuke, do you know what Naruto likes to eat?"

"Mom, I'm your son, aren't I? You don't even ask me." Sasuke pouted.

"Haha, Sasuke, are you jealous?" Mikoto was amused by her son's expression.

"No way!" Sasuke wouldn't admit it.

Their conversation stirred up a storm in Itachi's heart. He knew Naruto's identity. Had the clan started openly contacting Jinchuriki now?

Shocked by the series of news, Itachi Uchiha hastily finished his meal. After eating, Sasuke grabbed Itachi's hand, looking at him expectantly: "Brother, can we sleep together tonight? How about I tell you the stories our teacher told me?"

  "Okay," Itachi nodded.

After the two brothers returned to their room, Sasuke pulled out the textbook that Uchiha Touhuan had written for him and began explaining it to Itachi.

Itachi patiently listened to Sasuke explain the meaning of each point.

From "Human nature is inherently good" to "Is it not pleasant to learn and practice what one has learned?", the more Itachi listened, the more uneasy he felt. It wasn't that these things were bad; on the contrary, what Sasuke said was too good. If Sasuke could truly do every single thing mentioned, then in the future, Sasuke would definitely be a model ninja who inherited the Will of Fire.

This was completely inconsistent with his impression of Uchiha Touhuan as a schemer.

Thinking of this, Itachi probed again, "Alright, Sasuke, let's not talk about this anymore. Do you know what happened in the village a few days ago?"

"Yes, I know," Sasuke replied, startled by Itachi's question.

"So, what's your opinion on this?" Itachi asked.

"The Security Department did a good job. It was clearly the villagers who were in the wrong, and the Security Department made sure they received the punishment they deserved," Sasuke said.

[What Uchiha Touhuan taught Sasuke is definitely problematic!] Itachi thought to himself.
