Chapter 4 - wei Qinqing

---

Finn stood in the soldiers' training ground inside General Wei Tsang Lan's palace, with Wei Bin sitting nearby.

"Come on, Finn! Show me that attack you were talking about!!" Wei Bin said excitedly.

Finn inhaled deeply, feeling nervous. He was forbidden from entering the soldiers' training ground as an outsider, but he had used Wei Bin's authority to get in and train here. He had no other choice—he had discovered that if he wanted to train his rubber body and master Luffy's combat techniques from the One Piece anime, he needed a wide open space where he could stretch freely.

He couldn't do that in the palace courtyards or in his room, and he was also afraid of accidentally breaking expensive furniture with his "macaroni hands." Being completely broke and not owning a single coin in this world, Finn knew it was best not to break anything by mistake.

He had convinced Wei Bin by telling him that he would show him a powerful combat attack using his rubber body.

And now… Finn deeply regretted it, from the bottom of his heart, because he wasn't even sure he could punch and kick like Monkey D. Luffy.

Alright. I can do this. I just need to believe in myself, Finn muttered to himself.

He then took Luffy's fighting stance, stepped forward, and threw his arm backward.

Finn's arm instantly stretched several meters.

"Wow, that's amazing!!" Wei Bin shouted excitedly.

The soldiers in the training ground stopped their drills and watched Finn with curiosity. They were extremely displeased by Finn's presence in their training ground, but they didn't dare object to the general's son. Some of them watched with anticipation—they wanted to see what Finn could do as well, since most of them had never seen a rubber body before.

Finn's arm stopped stretching and froze in midair. He clenched his teeth and said,

"Gomu Gomu no—"

His arm snapped forward at high speed, launching ahead.

"Pistol!!" Finn shouted excitedly, calling out Luffy's famous technique, one capable of shattering massive rocks and ships with ease.

But instead of extending forward and smashing everything in its path with force, his arm suddenly wrapped around his entire body. Finn stumbled and fell to the ground.

"Hahahahaha!!"

The soldiers immediately burst into laughter, mocking him openly.

"What? What was that?! You said you'd perform a powerful attack!!" Wei Bin said in disappointment.

"Oh damn it! How does Luffy even do this?!" Finn grumbled in frustration as he tried to untangle his arm—but only ended up wrapping his hands around his legs and rolling on the ground like a worm.

"Hahahahaha!! Look at him!! He's like a raging noodle!!"

The soldiers laughed loudly, openly ridiculing Finn.

"Hey! You guys!! Don't mock my friend!!"

Wei Bin stood up angrily.

The soldiers immediately fell silent, not daring to say another word.

"Don't bully the soldiers by abusing your status as the general's son, little brother."

A beautiful female voice suddenly spoke.

Everyone fell silent and turned toward the source of the voice. They saw an extremely beautiful girl, fairy-like, with light brown long hair, deep violet eyes, and flawless features.

She was tall, with a fit and powerful body, wearing red military armor.

"Sister!!"

Wei Bin shouted happily, running toward his older sister and jumping into her arms.

She gently hugged him.

"Soldiers, greet the Second Commander of Tsang Lan Region!!"

The soldiers shouted in unison and knelt respectfully.

Wei Qingqing, daughter of General Wei Tsang Lan and second-in-command of the Tsang Lan region, waved her hand and ordered them to stand.

The soldiers rose with discipline and respect.

Wei Qingqing looked at Finn—who was still sprawled on the ground, limbs scattered like noodles—and said calmly,

"So you're the strange boy my father mentioned? Your survival in the Black Water Region and among bandits with such a useless body still amazes me."

Finn hurriedly scrambled up, knelt, and said fearfully and respectfully,

"This humble peasant greets the Second Commander."

Finn naturally knew who Wei Qingqing was.

She was a character from the manhua who had helped the main character, Chu Yuan, when he entered the Black Water Region. She was a powerful cultivator in the Heavenly Gate Realm and the second-in-command of General Wei Tsang Lan's army—the general's daughter and Wei Bin's older sister.

"Stand up," Wei Qingqing ordered coldly.

Finn stood up nervously, terrified. He didn't dare speak. He was deeply afraid of Wei Qingqing—she could kill him effortlessly.

Wei Qingqing examined him closely, then suddenly dashed toward him.

Finn's eyes widened as he tried to defend himself, but he was instantly sent flying, crashing violently into the training ground wall.

Boom!!

The wall exploded, rubble collapsing over him.

"Sister!! Why did you do that?!"

Wei Bin screamed in grief and anger. Finn was his only friend, and his sister had just killed him.

Wei Qingqing looked at her brother and said calmly,

"Don't worry, Wei Bin. Your friend is still alive."

Finn slowly stood up, pushing the rubble off himself, wiped the blood from his mouth, and immediately knelt.

"Please forgive me and spare my life if I have offended you in any way, Commander."

He spoke in utter fear and humiliation, not even knowing what he had done wrong to deserve her attack.

The soldiers stared at Finn in shock and disbelief. None of them could have survived that blow.

"Stand up. Come here," Wei Qingqing said coldly.

"Sister! I don't know what Finn did wrong, but I won't let you hurt my friend!!"

Wei Bin shouted angrily as Yuan Qi erupted from his body. Six Yuan Qi meridians manifested, glowing dark blue and radiating overwhelming pressure.

Finn stared in shock. Six meridians?! What terrifying power!

In the original manhua, Wei Bin was merely a poisoned, weak boy early in the story—his true strength was never shown.

Wei Qingqing looked at Wei Bin with amusement.

"Don't worry, little brother. I won't kill your friend. I just wanted to test his toughness after Father told me about him."

She was telling the truth.

When she heard from her father about a rubber-bodied boy who could withstand physical attacks without using Yuan Qi, she had been shocked. Finn had piqued her interest greatly.

She had just tested him—and the results shocked her.

Although she hadn't used any Yuan Qi and relied only on physical strength, she was an expert in the Heavenly Gate Realm. She was strong enough to bend steel barehanded and shatter stone and metal with her fists.

She hadn't held back.

And yet… Finn's rubber body absorbed the blow and endured it.

Wei Qingqing smiled softly. She had found the perfect candidate to train—a personal guard for her weak younger brother.

Her expression turned serious.

"I was testing your strength and toughness. You didn't disappoint me, boy called Finn."

Finn lowered his head.

"I'm glad I met your expectations, my lady."

He clenched his teeth hard.

What the hell is wrong with these people?!

The general beat him for the same reason, and now his daughter did too—and their blows were no joke. And after that they say they were just "testing" him?!

What if I had died?! Are they insane?!

Finn cursed Wei Qingqing and her father a million times in his head. He hated being humiliated, but he endured it—he lacked the power to resist.

Wei Qingqing snorted mockingly.

"No need to flatter me out of fear. I won't kill you."

Hope flickered in Finn's eyes—only to be extinguished when she continued,

"I won't kill you now. I may change my mind in the future."

Finn wanted to scream and curse her, but fear sealed his mouth.

"Sister!! Stop that!!" Wei Bin shouted angrily.

Finn looked at Wei Bin in shock, gratitude blazing in his chest.

Wei Bin was the only one who had protected him since arriving in this backward world—and Finn would never forget that.

Ignoring her brother, Wei Qingqing looked coldly at Finn.

"I tested you because I want to train you to become my brother's personal guard."

"What?! Him?! The general's son's bodyguard?!"

The soldiers exclaimed in shock and outrage. Many felt it was unfair—they had applied for the position countless times and been rejected, yet this untrained boy without Yuan Qi surpassed them?

They couldn't accept it.

Wei Qingqing glanced at them sharply.

"Silence! If any of you disagree, can you take one blow from me and still stand?"

The soldiers fell silent.

No one among them could withstand a single strike from Wei Qingqing, even without Yuan Qi. Only a handful of elites in the entire army were at her level—and they held far more important positions.

Finn stared at Wei Qingqing in disbelief, then knelt immediately.

"This disciple greets the master!!"

He hated Wei Qingqing for beating him—but if that was the price to receive guidance from an expert like her, he wouldn't refuse. He needed power as fast as possible to return home.

She looked at him coldly.

"Meet me here tomorrow at exactly four in the morning."

Then she turned and left.

Finn watched her back with a mixture of hatred and envy, then returned to his room, with Wei Bin following behind, repeatedly apologizing for his sister's behaviour.
