Remembering Voren's plan to surprise Seraphine with breakfast in bed, Corvine chose his words carefully so he wouldn't accidentally ruin it. "You should get ready first," he replied with an easy, relaxed smile. "I'll go get ready too. Voren should be here any minute."
He started to walk away but stopped himself. "Oh, I almost forgot." Turning back to Seraphine, he rubbed the back of his neck a little awkwardly. "Can I borrow some clothes for Athaliah? Her father refused to let her take anything with her, even his driver, just because she accepted Voren's rejection."
Seraphine let out a deep sigh of pure frustration. "That man is absolutely impossible." She shook her head, clearly annoyed by the Alpha King's ridiculous behavior. "I have plenty of clothes I've never even worn. I'll find something nice for her."
A few minutes later, she came back carrying several neatly folded outfits. "There should be something in here that fits perfectly."
