The big hall was very quiet now. The dark shadow power of Lucifer was completely gone. The dark red sky outside turned into a beautiful blue sky. Soft sunlight came through the broken roof of the hall and fell onto the stone floor.
Saikyō knelt on the floor next to his younger sister Hanako. He placed his hand gently on her forehead to check her temperature. Her face was warm and her breathing was calm.
Next to Hanako lay Miyamoto. Miyamoto was still fast asleep on the soft straw mat.
Saikyō felt a sharp pain in his chest. His Boron power was taking away a small part of his life because he had used thirty percent of his red aura to beat Lucifer. Saikyō did not scream or cry. He sat on the cool stone floor and closed his eyes. He waited for his body to heal.
After five minutes Hanako opened her eyes slowly. She rubbed her eyes with her small hands. She looked around the giant hall in big confusion. She saw the broken walls and the collapsed stone throne. Then she saw her older brother sitting right beside her.
Hanako sat up quickly and grabbed Saikyō's arm. She said brother are you okay where are we. Saikyō opened his dark eyes and looked at her. He said we are in the Ghost Village and you are safe now. Lucifer is defeated and he can never hurt you again.
Hanako looked at the blood and dust on Saikyō's clothes. Small tears came into her eyes. She said you fought the bad man for me again. Saikyō shook his head and said it does not matter. I will always come to save you no matter where you are.
At that moment Miyamoto woke up too. He sat up fast and reached for his wooden sword on the floor. He looked around the ruined room with wide eyes.
He saw the big pile of rocks where Lucifer was buried under the back wall.
Miyamoto stood up on his feet and looked at Saikyō in shock. Miyamoto said did you fight the shadow king all by yourself. Saikyō stood up slowly from the floor.
Saikyō said yes the fight is finished and the shadow army is no more.
Miyamoto breathed a big sigh of relief. He put his wooden sword back into his belt. Miyamoto said you are truly the strongest warrior in the world Sekai Saikyō. But look at your body you need rest and food.
Hanako stood up and held Saikyō's hand tightly. She did not want to let go of her brother. She looked toward the big wooden doors of the hall. She said brother can we go home now. I do not like this cold dark village.
Saikyō looked down at Hanako and nodded his head. He said yes we will leave this place right now. But before they could take a single step toward the door a strange sound came from the pile of rocks at the back of the room.
Small stones began to roll down from the collapsed wall. Miyamoto pulled out his wooden sword again and stood in front of Hanako. Miyamoto said wait is Lucifer still alive after that huge attack.
Saikyō stepped in front of both of them. He raised his right hand and gathered a small amount of red aura in his palm just in case.
They all watched the pile of dark rocks carefully.
The rocks moved again and a hand pushed through the dirt.
But it was not Lucifer's hand. The hand was big and heavy and covered in dark black blood. It was the hand of Zazame the shadow soldier.
Zazame crawled out from under the broken wall very slowly. His body was badly hurt and his neck was still bent from Saikyō's earlier hit. He dragged his heavy body across the stone floor toward Saikyō.
Zazame stopped three feet away from Saikyō. He lay on the floor breathing with great difficulty. Black blood dripped from his mouth onto the stone tiles. He raised his head and looked at Saikyō with no anger in his eyes.
Zazame said in a weak voice you really destroyed Master Lucifer. The shadow seal inside my heart is broken because my master is dead. I am no longer a shadow slave.
Saikyō looked down at Zazame with cold eyes. Saikyō said why are you still alive giant. Why did you not die with your master. Zazame coughed up blood and smiled weakly.
Zazame said my body is very strong like iron. It takes a lot of damage to kill me completely. But my power is gone and I have no reason to fight you anymore.
Hanako peeked out from behind Saikyō's back. She looked at the giant shadow soldier lying on the floor. She did not feel scared because she saw that Zazame was crying black tears.
Hanako said brother he is in big pain. Can we help him. Saikyō said he is a shadow soldier who killed many people. We cannot trust him.
Zazame shook his head slowly on the floor. He said the small girl is right. I did many bad things for Lucifer because I had the trust seal in my heart.
But now I am free and I only want to rest.
Zazame looked at Saikyō and said if you leave me here I will protect this ruined hall so no other shadow monsters can ever come back. This is my choice.
Miyamoto looked at Saikyō and said what should we do Saikyō. Should we leave him here or finish him. Saikyō lowered his hand and let his red aura fade away completely.
Saikyō said his power is gone and he poses no threat to us. Let him stay here. Saikyō turned his back on Zazame and picked up Hanako in his arms.
Hanako wrapped her small arms around Saikyō's neck. Saikyō walked toward the big wooden doors of the hall with Miyamoto walking right beside him.
They stepped out of the dark hall and into the warm sunlight of the Ghost Village. The wind blew softly across the open fields. Saikyō looked up at the blue sky and knew that their long journey was far from over.
