Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: Killing

Listening to the conversation between the two, Xiao Zhitian stepped toward Thousand Medicine House and arrived at its heavily guarded stronghold.

Looking at the manor, fortified not only by members of Thousand Medicine House but also the Wolf Head Mercenary Group, Xiao Zhitian raised an eyebrow in mild amusement.

Finding a spot with relatively fewer guards, he activated Void Piercer Art. After continuous meditation and practice, he could now cover a maximum distance of twenty meters in a single step.

Once inside, Xiao Zhitian sensed his surroundings carefully. Pinpointing the location, he flashed across the manor with several swift movements, arriving near a relatively secluded room.

He quietly opened the window and slipped inside. The room smelled strongly of medicinal herbs. A faint, blurry figure behind a pink curtain caught his attention. Xiao Zhitian lifted the curtain and appeared on a chair inside the room.

Silence reigned, broken only by the faint rustle of powder being moved. Xiao Zhitian quietly observed the Little Fairy Doctor, fully focused on preparing medicinal powders on a small table.

Sensing a gaze upon her back, she picked up a bag of powder and sharply turned her head—but seeing Xiao Zhitian calmly sitting on the chair, the chill in her eyes melted instantly.

Setting down the medicinal powder, she gracefully approached Xiao Zhitian. From her storage, she poured a drop of red liquid into a jade bottle and wiped it gently across his hand.

"Are you plotting against me, taking advantage the moment we meet?" Xiao Zhitian asked playfully, a teasing smile on his lips.

The Little Fairy Doctor's face flushed as she lightly slapped his hand. "Don't talk nonsense. My room is full of medicinal powder—this is the antidote."

"Your room is full of medicinal powder. Seems like things haven't been easy for you lately," Xiao Zhitian noted.

"The Wolf Head Mercenary Group spread the news. Now they've reached an agreement with Thousand Medicine House. How they negotiated is unknown, but recently they seem impatient and are preparing to move against me."

"Then why haven't you left? With your research on the Seven-Colored Poison Scripture, no one here can stop you. You probably have a lot of poisons on you," Xiao Zhitian observed, his eyes sweeping over her.

"I'm waiting for you to come and save me," the Little Fairy Doctor replied with a playful smile.

"Or are you planning to use them for practice?"

"Hehe, you found out! I was actually planning to leave today," she said, returning to the table and packing the medicinal powders into a jade bottle.

"Let's go. I'll take you to get your revenge," Xiao Zhitian said, watching her finish.

"Alright, are you going to forcefully take me away?" she teased, feigning admiration.

"Stop messing around. Have you packed everything? It's time to go," he said helplessly.

Bang!

"Leave? None of you are leaving today!"

Before they could move, the Little Fairy Doctor's door was violently pushed open. A middle-aged man's voice rang out.

Two men entered, followed by eight more.

"The one on the left is Master Yao of Thousand Medicine House, and the one on the right is Mu She, leader of the Wolf Head Mercenary Group. Both are Dou Shi. Behind them are Gan Mu, the second leader, and He Meng, the third leader, a nine-star and eight-star Dou Zhe respectively. Can you handle them? Shall I trigger the toxins?" the Little Fairy Doctor asked, moving closer to Xiao Zhitian.

"No need," Xiao Zhitian waved, signaling her to step back slightly.

"Boy, did you kill my son?" Mu She's voice trembled with rage.

"That useless son of yours… did indeed die by my hand. Do you wish to reunite with him?" Xiao Zhitian replied lightly.

"Then you shall pay with your life!" Mu She roared, raising his spear. A faint green whirlwind enveloped its tip as he lunged.

A bright red flame appeared in Xiao Zhitian's hand. He grabbed the incoming spear, instantly melting its tip into molten iron. Mu She threw the spear aside in shock.

"What a strange flame," he murmured, heart pounding.

Xiao Zhitian flicked the molten iron toward the ten attackers. The scorching droplets split automatically and struck each of them.

Their Dou Qi defenses were paper-thin against his attack. The molten iron pierced their foreheads, and in less than a minute, all ten fell lifeless, their bodies consumed by flames and reduced to ash.

The Little Fairy Doctor watched, covering her mouth in shock at Xiao Zhitian's efficiency—he had eliminated even the two strongest men in the town in under a minute.

"What realm are you in now?" she asked, curiosity shining in her eyes.

"Just Da Dou Shi, that's all," Xiao Zhitian said lightly, smiling.

"Da Dou Shi? You look two years younger than me, and you're already a Da Dou Shi? I'm only a one-star Dou Zhe!" she exclaimed, envy creeping into her tone.

Xiao Zhitian gave her a glance but said nothing. "Let's go. Mu She and Master Yao are dead. These two forces will automatically disband."

In an open area, she took out a bamboo whistle and blew gently. A giant blue eagle descended from afar, landing before them.

"This is my partner, Xiaolan," she said, stroking the bird. "She's a first-tier magical beast. I'll take you somewhere."

Xiao Zhitian wrapped his arm around her slender waist, leaping onto Xiaolan's back.

Xiaolan circled upward before soaring into the sky.

"Aren't you going to let go yet?" the Little Fairy Doctor asked, glancing back at his hand still around her waist.

"I'm afraid of heights. I don't feel safe without holding you. I might fall," Xiao Zhitian replied, feigning fear.

"Do you think I'll believe that?"

"I think you will."

Seeing his thick-skinned demeanor, she ignored him but made no move to remove his hand.

Xiaolan carried them to a secluded valley, descending into a small, hidden basin.

"Let's stay here for a while. There are many medicinal herbs. You can pick some, but not all—I also need them for my powders," the Little Fairy Doctor explained, a hint of hesitation in her voice.

"Mm, no problem. The energy here is abundant. I can cultivate here, and it's quiet," Xiao Zhitian agreed, scanning the valley.

Her face immediately lit up at his agreement.

She led him to a straw hut. "We'll stay here for a while. I built this myself. You don't mind, do you?"

"I don't mind. And living with a beauty like you, I'd even stay in a mountain cave," Xiao Zhitian teased.

"Hmph, don't think you can do whatever you want just because you're strong. My poison may not affect you much, but it will still make you uncomfortable," she warned, waving a fist playfully.

"Haha, I wouldn't go that far," Xiao Zhitian laughed, charmed by her expression.

He silently thought: System check-in.
