Chen walked into the kitchen, rolling up his sleeves slightly as he opened the fridge. "Do you guys want water?" he called out.
"I'll take one," Xu Lin replied casually.
Xu Jin didn't respond at all.
Chen paused for a second, then still took out two bottles. When he returned, he placed them on the table—one in front of Xu Lin, and one near Xu Jin.
Xu Jin didn't even glance at it.
He sat there, eyes fixed on his phone, scrolling as if nothing else existed.
Chen hesitated for a moment before speaking again, "I'll bring dinner to the table. Eat whatever you guys want."With that, he turned and went back into the kitchen.

Then he leaned slightly toward his younger brother and spoke in a low voice, almost a whisper.
"If you keep making that face without telling him what's wrong, he won't understand. He's dumb in this field."
