Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Your wife, Raiden Mei, is now Online!

Luo Hong was still unaware that the sisters had already "indoctrinated" Dark Ji Xuanyuan to be wary of him. But even if he knew, he wouldn't care. In his territory, his power was absolute. He hadn't "forced" anyone yet, but that didn't mean he wouldn't.

Twisted melons might not be sweet, but they sure do quench your thirst!

Holding the plump and soft body of Chiyuan, he had already raised her to [Level 5]. The Chiyou crisis outside was likely resolved by now. Chiyuan was technically Fu Hua, but because she was the version from Danzhu's legends, she differed from the original. To Luo Hong, she was a "Special Skin" for Fu Hua.

As his hands brushed over her "twin peaks," he had to admit this skin was incredible! It also solved the mystery of "Fu the Warrior's" chest size.

Can Fu Hua's consciousness really enter this body? Chiyuan was a legend made up by Danzhu, after all. But if not Fu Hua, who else? Surely not Senti? The thought of the elegant Chiyuan being possessed by the mischievous Senti made him smirk. But Senti wasn't born yet, so he'd have to wait. For now, he just looked forward to Fu Hua's reaction when she realized she suddenly possessed two "heavy slimes" on her chest.

Just then, he received a notification: [Your wife, Raiden Mei, is now Online!]

"The beautiful 'housewife-attribute' young lady has arrived?"

Luo Hong smirked, left Chiyuan, snapped his fingers to change into proper clothes, and headed toward the cafeteria.

The Cafeteria.

Mei stared at the long ladle in her hand, feeling dazed. "Is this what Major Himeko meant by 'dreaming of what you think about by day'?"

She looked around. The place looked exactly like the St. Freya cafeteria, but it was empty. She was the only cook, standing under the warm yellow lights simmering a broth. It was eerie and absurd.

If she were an ordinary girl, she would have screamed. But after listening to the "World Explanation" in her head (the same one Bronya got), she began to wonder if this was reality or a dream.

"Miss Mei, welcome to my territory!"

Luo Hong arrived at the door, wearing a gentlemanly smile. "I am Luo Hong. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me."

"Are you the Mr. Luo Hong that Bronya mentioned?" Though a bit uncomfortable with him using her first name so familiarly, Mei—being a well-bred lady—didn't show it. She knew she was on his turf and that today's successful mission was likely thanks to him.

Wait, why did Bronya have such a strange look when she saw Cangxuan and Danzhu? she wondered. Those two went into Bronya's room after dinner; I wonder what they talked about.

"One and only," Luo Hong replied, walking up to her. "Since you're 'awake,' you can stop working for now."

He snapped his fingers, summoning the new Chiyuan to take over her shift. He intentionally placed Chiyuan right in front of Mei.

"This person..." Mei gasped, looking at Chiyuan in disbelief. "Is this the 'Chiyuan Immortal' we saw during the mission today?"

"Exactly." Luo Hong nodded and walked outside. He looked at the sky and snapped his fingers, turning the black night into bright daylight.

He knew that with a lady like Mei, haste would only spoil the result. Once he piled up enough favors, she would eventually become "fully automatic"—just like she was with Kiana. Except Kiana was a girl; with him, there were many more "advances" Mei could make. He intended to become the "only light" in her heart.

"Mr. Luo Hong... are you a God?" Mei asked, stunned by the divine feat of changing the sky.

"That depends on your definition of a God," Luo Hong said, turning back with a kind, "older brother" smile. "There are things I cannot do—for instance, I cannot leave this world."

As he spoke, a flash of appropriate loneliness flickered in his eyes.

"Oh..." Seeing this, Mei immediately realized she had misspoken and hurriedly tried to say something to make amends.

"Please don't blame yourself, Miss Mei," Luo Hong said, maintaining his gentle persona. He rubbed his forehead and shook his head slightly. "The fact that you all can come to this world is enough for me. Whether or not I can leave... isn't that big of a deal."

"But," he added, his expression shifting to one of genuine concern, "you must stay safe out there. Here, I have no way to reach out and save you."

Unquestionably, this was the one expression he wasn't faking. Setting aside his personal affection for Mei and the others, there was a practical issue: if something happened to them in reality, would their consciousness still be able to reach his world? Would his NPC counterparts disappear? Since it concerned his direct interests, he made sure to emphasize the warning.

In Mei's eyes, however, it carried a different meaning entirely.

Mr. Luo Hong is truly a kind person, she thought, her violet eyes shimmering like polished gemstones. She nodded and said, "We will certainly be careful. Thank you for your concern, Mr. Luo Hong."

Seeing his sincere care, the discomfort she felt earlier when he used her first name vanished. After a moment of thought, she smiled and added, "It's no wonder that Bronya, who is normally so guarded, trusts you so much."

Bronya: ( )?
