While Draen was still on his way back to the Silvaris Estate with the Vanguard Order, he had no idea just how much Lewis's condition had worsened during his absence.
For the entire week that Draen had been away, the physician he had personally entrusted with Lewis's care did everything he could to keep him stable. After countless failed attempts, he even managed to create a mana supplement that closely resembled Draen's mana. It worked just enough to ease Lewis's symptoms for a short while but everyone knew it was only a substitute.
No artificial mana could ever replace the real thing.
Day after day, Lewis only became weaker.
Back at the Silvaris Estate, no one had enjoyed a proper night's sleep for the past week.
Lewis would often wake up in the middle of the night crying without knowing why. Other nights, he would unknowingly leave his bedroom while sleepwalking, quietly wandering through the halls as if searching for someone.
