In the end, Lewis accepted Draen's proposal to hire a tutor for him. Although he occasionally visited the library and spent hours reading books about the empire's history and the world he now lived in, there were still countless things he could not fully understand on his own.
Some topics were too complicated while others lacked enough details for him to piece together. More than anything, Lewis needed someone who could answer his questions directly and explain everything. From the smallest villages hidden in the empire's borders to the ancient history of dragons and the events that shaped the continent.
At one point, Lewis recalled the mysterious figure he had seen in a book weeks ago during one of his library visits. The image had stayed in the back of his mind ever since yet he never brought it up to Draen. Every time he thought about mentioning it, he stopped himself.
"Your Grace, Count Lorentis is here. Would you like me to guide him here or to the audience room?"
