Meanwhile, when Lewis returned to the estate, Alon just took one look at him and immediately swallowed whatever lecture he had prepared. Lewis looked utterly exhausted, as if he had spent the entire day carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders.

His steps were sluggish and even the excitement that was usually on his face was nowhere to be found.

Instead of scolding Lewis, Alon turned his sharp glare toward Leo.

"You brought His Lordship back this late?" he snapped.

Leo just bowed respectably. "My apologies, sir."

"Let's continue this conversation letter, sir Knight."

Before the argument could continue, Lewis simply waved a tired hand and didn't even bother interfering with Alon and Leo.

"Good night, sirs. I'm going to take a rest."

Without waiting for a response, he headed straight toward his room.
