Chapter 45 - Chapter 45: Wings of Shadow – The Empire Takes Flight & Skybound Claim [18+]

Shadow Lotus Pavilion, Eastern Mist District — December 5, 2028

The private family lounge glowed softly under floating qi lanterns. Massive windows framed the fog-shrouded city like a distant dream, but tonight the view felt secondary. Inside, the air carried jasmine tea steaming in porcelain cups, fresh osmanthus pastries on a low jade table, and the quiet intimacy of a family bound by blood and devotion.

Zhao Ming stood at the center, holding the sleek black model of a private jet in his open palm. He wore only loose black trousers, shirt long discarded, golden-shadow qi drifting lazily across his bare chest. His dark eyes moved over each of them with calm possession.

Lin Mei sat closest, legs tucked beneath her on the crimson silk sofa, silver-gray robe loosely tied. Yinglian slept in the cradle beside her, breathing evenly. Lin Mei watched Zhao Ming steadily, crimson eyes warm and expectant.

Yue Lin leaned against the window frame, arms folded, black training robes open at the chest. Storm-gray eyes followed his every move.

Lin Xue sat beside Lin Mei, soft crimson gown draped over her knees, fingers resting lightly on Lin Mei's arm.

Duan Yue knelt on the thick rug at Zhao Ming's feet, midnight-blue silk pooled around her, cheek resting against his thigh while his fingers moved slowly through her hair.

Lin Xia sat cross-legged on the floor beside Duan Yue, drawing with colored charcoal, a flying shadow lotus jet, trailing petals.

Zhao Ming spoke first, voice low and even.

"Fifty million yuan, thirty branches and dining rooms booked six months out. The Bureau reclassified our blends as public utilities. Tax exemptions, priority routes and the streets call us gods now."

He looked down at Duan Yue, fingers tightening gently in her hair.

"That happened because of you," he said. "Every favor you slipped through the Bureau. Every report you sealed. Every rule you bent. You built this for me."

Duan Yue lifted her gaze.

"I would burn the Bureau to ash for you," she said quietly. "You know I would."

He gave a small nod.

"I know."

His eyes moved to Yue Lin.

"You hold the line," he said. "Every branch, every shipment, every shadow. Without you watching, none of this will last."

Yue Lin pushed off the window and walked to him. She stopped close, storm qi brushing his skin like faint static.

"I would tear the sky open for you," she said. "You know that."

He caught her wrist, kissed the inside of it, then drew her to his side.

Lin Xue raised her head from Lin Mei's shoulder.

"Ming'er," she said quietly. "I never thought I could become this strong. That Xia would grow up without fear. You gave us that."

Zhao Ming reached out and cupped her cheek.

"You gave me Xia," he said. "You gave me trust when you had none left. That strength is yours."

Lin Xue leaned forward and kissed his palm.

Lin Mei rose carefully, stepped close, and pressed herself against Zhao Ming's chest. Her hands slid inside his open shirt, palms flat against his heart.

"I carried your daughter," she said softly. "I nursed her just like I nursed you. Every morning and every night. And I would do it again. Always."

Zhao Ming's hand moved to the nape of her neck, tilting her face up.

"Mother," he said, the word heavy with reverence. "My empress. You gave me everything."

He kissed her, slow and deep, right there in front of them.

When he pulled back, he looked at each of them.

"Fifty million is just a number," he said. "The real wealth is standing right here."

He lifted the jet model, gold lotus wings catching the light.

"Tomorrow, we fly," he said. "The five of us. No guards or vassals. Just us. I want to feel the sky with you pressed against me. I want to see the city kneel from above. I want to claim you at thirty thousand feet while the world sleeps below."

Yue Lin's eyes darkened.

"Wings," she said, stepping closer, hand sliding up his chest. "I've never wanted anything more."

Lin Xue gave a soft laugh.

"Ming'er…"

Lin Mei leaned in and nipped his jaw.

"Our sky," she murmured. "Our empire. Our family."

Duan Yue rose to her knees, hands on his thighs.

"I'll make sure the Bureau sees nothing," she said. "No logs or questions. The sky belongs to us."

Xia looked up from her drawing.

"Can I come too?" she asked. "I want to see the clouds!"

Zhao Ming knelt to her level.

"When you're older, little one," he said gently. "When you can fly it yourself."

Xia grinned.

"Promise?"

He held out his pinky.

"Promise."

She hooked hers around his.

"Deal!"

Zhao Ming stood and drew them all closer.

Lin Mei against his chest.

Yue Lin at his side.

Lin Xue against his back.

Duan Yue kneeling at his feet.

Xia hugging his leg.

Yinglian sleeping peacefully.

"Fifty million," he said, voice rough with possession. "Thirty branches. A jet. A city that kneels. But this is what matters."

He looked at each of them.

"This is what I wanted. This is what I built. This is mine."

He kissed Lin Mei, deep and hungry.

Then Yue Lin, fierce and claiming.

Then Lin Xue, soft and reverent.

Then Duan Yue, pulling her up to taste her mouth.

Then he knelt, kissing Xia's forehead, then Yinglian's tiny hand.

Outside, the fog drifted, subdued and respectful.

Inside, a family burned.

Tomorrow they would fly.

Eastern Mist District, Shadow Lotus Pavilion — December 6, 2028 — 6:00 a.m.

The private jet waited on the rooftop airstrip, sleek black fuselage gleaming under dawn light. Gold lotus inlays along the wings caught the rising sun, making the aircraft look almost alive.

Inside, the cabin was luxurious: deep crimson leather seats that reclined into beds, polished black wood panels, a private bar stocked with lotus root wine and chilled spirit fruits, thick carpets, and floor-to-ceiling windows ready to show the world from above.

Lin Mei stepped aboard first, crimson silk robe flowing around her, hair loose. Behind her came Yue Lin in fitted black silk, storm-gray eyes dark with anticipation. Lin Xue followed in soft crimson, gown whispering. Duan Yue entered last, midnight-blue silk clinging to her, obsidian hair unbound.

Zhao Ming sealed the door.

No guards, attendants or children. Lin Xia and Yinglian were safe at home under the strongest wards. Today belonged only to the five of them.

The engines hummed to life, a low purr of qi-infused turbines. The jet lifted smoothly, rising above the fog until the city became a glittering sea of lights below.

Zhao Ming stood at the center, black shirt open to the waist, trousers low. He watched them settle into the wide seats, legs parted slightly, eyes locked on him.

He stepped forward, fingers brushing Lin Mei's cheek, trailing down her throat.

"None of this matters, without you," he murmured. "Without all of you."

Lin Mei tilted her head into his touch, crimson eyes heavy-lidded.

"Then take us," she whispered. "Right here. Above them all."

Yue Lin rose first, slow and predatory, pressing her body against his back, hands sliding up his bare chest.

"You gave us wings," she murmured against his ear. "Now let me feel you while we soar."

Lin Xue knelt at his feet, fingers working his trousers open, freeing him slowly.

"I want to taste you first," she breathed. "Let me feel you deep in my throat while the city fades away."

Duan Yue knelt beside her; dark eyes locked on his length.

"Let us worship you," she whispered. "Let us drink you down until you're dripping from our lips."

Zhao Ming groaned, hand fisting in Lin Mei's hair.

"Strip," he commanded. "All of you. I want to see every inch of what's mine while we break through the clouds."

They obeyed.

Lin Mei rose, robe sliding off, pooling at her feet. Full breasts, narrow waist, hips made for gripping.

Yue Lin peeled black silk away, revealing scars, toned muscle, breasts high and firm.

Lin Xue slipped crimson gown down, soft curves, thighs trembling.

Duan Yue let midnight blue fall, generous breasts heaving, hips wide.

Zhao Ming shed his shirt and trousers.

He pulled Lin Mei against him, kissing her deeply, hands roaming her back, lifting her so her legs wrapped his waist.

"I've dreamed of this," he growled. "Feeling you wrapped around me high above everything."

Lin Mei moaned, grinding against him.

"Then take me," she whispered. "Let me feel every inch while the world disappears below."

He carried her to the couch, laid her down, spread her thighs.

Yue Lin knelt behind him, lips trailing his spine.

Lin Xue and Duan Yue knelt on either side, hands stroking him, tongues tasting.

Zhao Ming thrust into Lin Mei, slow and deep.

She cried out, back arching.

"Yes, like that, deeper."

He moved, powerful, relentless.

Yue Lin pressed against his back, whispering.

"Harder, my love. Take her until she trembles."

Lin Xue sucked one nipple, milk beading.

Duan Yue took the other, eyes locked on Zhao Ming.

Lin Mei shattered, walls clamping, release flooding, scream tearing free.

Zhao Ming pulled out, turned to Yue Lin.

"On your knees, storm."

She obeyed, mouth open, taking him deep.

Lin Xue and Duan Yue moved behind her, fingers inside her.

Zhao Ming fisted her ponytail, thrusting.

"That's it, take it all."

Yue Lin moaned, vibrations ripping through him.

Lin Mei kissed his neck, whispering.

"Come for her, Ming'er. Fill her throat."

He did, flooding her mouth. She swallowed every drop.

Lin Xue straddled him next, sinking down slowly.

"I love feeling you inside me," she whispered. "So full."

Zhao Ming gripped her hips, thrusting upward.

"Ride me, Xue."

She did, slow then faster.

Duan Yue straddled his face, his tongue plunging deep.

Yue Lin kissed Lin Xue, hands roaming.

Lin Mei watched, fingers circling her pearl.

Lin Xue came, release flooding.

Zhao Ming followed, flooding her.

Duan Yue shattered, flooding his mouth.

They collapsed, tangled, sweaty, hearts pounding.

Zhao Ming pulled them close.

"Mine," he rasped. "All of you. Above everything."

Lin Mei kissed his throat.

"Forever."

Yue Lin nuzzled his chest.

"Always."

Lin Xue curled against his side.

"Yours."

Duan Yue pressed her lips to his ear.

"Until the heavens burn."

Outside, Lingyuan slept.

Inside, five bodies lay entwined, claimed, unbreakable.

The empire flew.

And the sky belonged to them.

But the claiming was far from over.

Zhao Ming shifted, lifting Lin Mei again, laying her on her back, spreading her thighs. He entered her slowly, savoring every inch.

Lin Mei moaned, legs wrapping around him.

"Again," she breathed. "I want to feel you all night."

Yue Lin kissed his spine, hands roaming his chest.

"Let me feel you too," she whispered. "Soon."

Lin Xue kissed Lin Mei deeply, suckling her breast.

Duan Yue knelt between his legs, tongue lapping at where they joined.

The jet kept flying, high above everything.

Bodies moved, sweat-slick, moans blending, pleasure building, wave after wave.

They weren't finished.

The claiming continued, deep, heated, endless.

Outside, Lingyuan slept.

Inside, they burned.

And the heavens felt the first tremor of something unstoppable.
