Chapter 160 - Chapter 160: Soul Reaper and Conan Crossover (Part 1)

Chapter 160: Soul Reaper and Conan Crossover (Part 1)

"Wait a moment. Let me finish what's in front of me first!"

In response to Mo Yu's sudden telepathic transmission, Ichigo Kurosaki—who was standing with both hands in his pockets—leisurely pulled his left hand out. His long fingers slowly unfurled. Then, starting from his fingertips and moving up to his elbow, his arm was dyed pitch-black, transforming into a physical entity of pure, rushing Soul King power. Finally, he clenched it into a fist!

With one punch thrown, the pitch-black sea before Ichigo looked as if it had been struck by a world-ending meteorite falling from the heavens. First came an extremely terrifying explosion of light and heat, followed by a violent gale that tore through all things, sweeping across the land!

But Ichigo didn't stop. He threw punch after punch!

The vast, black ocean, along with the writhing hell-monsters upon it, were forcibly pulverized into annihilation by his fists! Shrill wails echoed between heaven and earth!

Only then did Ichigo stop. He looked up and spoke to the sky:

"The Hell of World No. 18, after swallowing its own three realms, has been coveting the realms of other worlds. Based on the vote of the Radiant Council, I've administered appropriate punishment. There. You should learn to behave yourself now."

Having finished, Ichigo returned to his hands-in-pockets posture. With a light step, he crossed the world barrier of Soul Reaper World No. 18 and returned to World No. 0.

As he returned, the pitch-black sun in the sky—which had been lashing the earth with cruel, scorching "Sun-Style" fist winds—suddenly withdrew its heat, making the weather pleasant once again.

Ichigo didn't pay it much mind. He just looked up at the heavens and said:

"Work's done. We can talk. I thought that after I finished filming The Academy's Strongest Security Guard, you wouldn't come looking for me to make movies anymore, Lord God!"

Mo Yu laughed. "How could I not? You're the top male artist under Heavenly Media, the Gold-Medal Double-Flower Red Pole Knight of God. Plus, you have a super blockbuster hit that's critically acclaimed across the multiverse. With that kind of star power, if there's a role to be played, how could I not come to you?"

Ichigo had long grown accustomed to Mo Yu's playful way of speaking. He replied with a touch of humor: "As you said, my current achievements in what you consider the 'acting industry' are pretty decent. Naturally, my appearance fee has gone up, and I have certain requirements for scripts. Plus, I've been busy lately, so I'm being extra strict on both fronts..."

When Ichigo Kurosaki originally accepted the movie Legend of the Super Academy Security Guard, it wasn't for money, but for the "Fate" Mo Yu promised.

Now, with the movie finished, Ichigo the "Security Guard" had used his bare fists to climb from beating up the "Chrysanthemum Politician" Fisher to thrashing the "Soul Reaper Capitalist" Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto, all the way to pummelling a World-Ending God. He had even beaten this imperfect world into submission with his fists. Literally, he had written the strongest and most intense "Security Guard Legend" in human history.

Current Ichigo needed nothing from the outside world. Whether it was power or destiny, both were held within his clenched fist. A standard "appearance fee" was meaningless to him. He could achieve anything; even if some skills required more work, it was only a matter of time before he marched from one victory to another.

Moreover, as a Shonen protagonist—though one who had become somewhat "Hong Kong Manhua-fied" due to God's influence—his fundamental nature hadn't changed much. He remained a man with a heavy sense of responsibility. His claim of being "busy" was no excuse.

Though he was technically still an ungraduated high school student (Strongest on Earth: Platinum Purity Edition), his schedule was packed. He was the first Chief Speaker of the Radiant Council, governing twenty-six worlds. Every proposal and vote could affect the fate of billions across multiple planes. This forced Ichigo to expend massive mental energy.

Among these twenty-six Soul Reaper worlds, there were troublesome issues requiring his personal touch—like World No. 18. Furthermore, he was still searching for a way to resurrect those swallowed by the Calamity of Void.

Most importantly, World No. 0 was still in the early stages of "Genesis." Until other powerhouses stepped into the Supreme Realm, the world still required his presence to remain stable.

With so much on his shoulders, Ichigo had even begun thinking about how to realize the "Clone Technique" through sheer Purity!

Of course, Ichigo knew that if God personally came looking for him, there was definitely something big afoot. So, he didn't refuse; he simply waited.

Although Mo Yu had been busy with the Detective Conan world-bubble lately, he was well aware of the situation in the Soul Reaper worlds. The Radiant Council was still largely staffed by Infant Angels acting as temporary representatives, and they submitted detailed briefings to Mo Yu on every major event.

"Heh, don't worry. You're my number-one henchman; I wouldn't mistreat you. The script I have for you is a big-budget, grand-scale production. The pay is fat. After we pull this off, you'll be eating large portions of meat, drinking from big bowls, and weighing gold on big scales..."

Hearing Mo Yu's grand promises, Ichigo filtered out the flowery adjectives but felt a spark of interest. "Go on."

Mo Yu said: "You haven't forgotten the fundamental purpose of the World Ark's maiden voyage, have you?"

Ichigo said flatly: "Of course not. The Ark is meant for world-wide migration to avoid the Calamity of Void. But that problem isn't exactly easy to solve right now, is it?"

The Calamity of Void was a phenomenon caused by the structural collapse of a world-bubble's foundation. It was like a house falling down—except this house was built on a "Sea." Once a structure collapsed, it was swallowed by the Sea, leaving not even a trace. Worlds simulated missing structures via data projections to maintain integrity, but it was just a stay of execution.

Ichigo's original goal in "beating up the world" was to refine the World Ark and sail to a new world. If not for the "Silver Sea Traffic Accident," solving this for one world would have been easy. But now, thanks to the storm and the super-collision, the number of worlds facing the void had jumped from 1 to 1+26!

The combined territory and population of twenty-seven worlds were staggering. The requirements for a "New World" were immense. You couldn't just dump the inhabitants of twenty-seven worlds into a new land and tell them to play Wilderness Survival.

The logistics, technology, organization, and execution required for a total migration were enough to make even a Soul King's brain go numb. More importantly, the phrase "Total Migration" hid many political pitfalls.

For example, some Soul Reaper bubbles were mostly fine, with only minor structural issues. But those worlds had many nations. Their Soul Kings—now members of the Radiant Council—still hadn't figured out how to tell their mortal populations that the world was breaking and everyone had to pack their bags!

The Radiant Council had debated this many times. While the members had the courage and agreed on the goal, they lacked consensus on the technical execution. The motion was currently tabled.

Mo Yu, of course, knew the solution: "Heh, where there's a will, there's a way. The world I found this time is special. No Calamity of Void. The land is a complete Earth on a modern tech line, so industrial commodities aren't an issue. More importantly, this world has a trait rare even in the multiverse: Immortality. And it's not a high-threshold immortality, either. Once you're a legal resident, everyone is immortal by default..."

Ichigo froze.

In the Soul Reaper world, long-lived species were everywhere, but true immortality was reserved for the Soul King or the Zero Division (who relied on the Soul King's power). Ichigo had already transcended the Soul King in power and evolved into an immortal being, but the word "Immortality"—especially "Universal Immortality"—still carried a punch.

But what truly moved Ichigo was the "Complete Planetary Area."

While the Council had tabled the motion, they had produced some theories. Ichigo knew that "Soul King Power," as a force, had a specific affinity: Space. It excelled at cutting, stitching, creating, and destroying dimensions. The Five Great Noble Families had used it to split chaos into three realms; Yhwach had used it to hide an entire empire in the shadows of the Seireitei.

The Soul Kings in the Council had suggested that if a new world wasn't big enough, they could manually cut and expand it.

The idea blossomed in Ichigo's mind. If a complete planet were handled by the Council's Soul Kings and Ichigo together, they could easily split it into ten or more layers. Using spatial scraps to create sub-dimensions, they could effectively turn one planet into fifteen. Of course, this depended on the world's spatial stability.

But a world where everyone was immortal? That space had to be incredibly sturdy!

Ichigo considered it and asked: "A world of universal immortality must have its own risks. What's the script?"

Mo Yu laughed. "Risks? A few. I've been filming a lot of footage there. I can put together a reel for the Radiant Council later so everyone can see the local flavor. For now, I want to take you there for a site visit. As for the script... don't worry about it yet. I'll tell you later. But I promise: it's a big production. It'll be intense."

The scripts you personally handle are the ones I'm most worried about, Ichigo thought. But the thought passed quickly. As the strongest man alive who had beaten the world into submission, he had the confidence to handle anything.

Besides, an "accident" or a surprise might be nice. Since Genesis, Ichigo had been in the "Invincible Realm" for too long. He was lonely.

Through the River of Time, he could see legendary powerhouses in the far distance walking toward him. But that was the future. For now, those experts needed room to grow. Though his fists were itching, he had to be patient for that "Ultimate Feast" of the future. Going to another world to see different scenery sounded like a perfect distraction.

But first, Ichigo needed to confirm:

"How are we going? In my true body or another form? Do I need a vehicle? I heard the Hell-Seireitei Research Bureau, led by Kisuke Urahara, is working on a Reishi-Purity hybrid rocket to visit Mars. If needed, I can borrow it."

Mo Yu replied: "A Reishi-Purity hybrid rocket? What kind of weird gadget is that? It's useless. The New World is way farther than your Mars. This is my first time attempting a cross-franchise crossover. There might be risks. You're the only one in this world qualified to try it!"

Ichigo didn't care about the risks. He knew his "test run" would be vital for the Great Migration Era.

"Fine. Let's go see it. But I have too much on my plate to leave easily. I need a temp to cover my shift. Wait a second..."

Ichigo spoke and then channeled 100% of his Absolute Domain power. He transformed into his Soul King Torrent true form. His fists moved like the wind, unleashing incalculable force to punch an illusory rift into the air. He reached into the rift and, with a violent tug, pulled another Ichigo Kurosaki out!

The other Ichigo blinked in surprise and then raised an eyebrow. "So you're the 'Past Me'? Interesting. I didn't expect my Clone Technique to be developed in the 'Past'."

The Soul King Torrent Ichigo said: "Good, you know the deal. Future Me, cover my shift for a bit. I'm going on a business trip with God to check out a new filming location!"

Future Ichigo shrugged. "Go ahead. When you get back, remember to go back to the past and cover my shift."

Soul King Torrent Ichigo gave a thumbs-up.

Mo Yu, witnessing this, couldn't help but marvel. Even as a high-purity God of Fighting, he had to admit: the "Purity" Ichigo mastered was a truly miraculous thing!

Mo Yu used his Hand of God to wrap around the Torrent-Ichigo and plucked him straight into the heavens.

Ichigo remembered the first time he met Lucia—Mo Yu had lifted him up to fly just like this. Back then, he couldn't even sense Mo Yu's power. Now, he could "feel" something. Not much—just a faint outline, a trace.

But feeling that trace made Ichigo go silent. Beneath that outline lay... Miracles.

Force and interference born from nothing, without reason. From birth, they were neither born nor destroyed, eternal and unchanging!

So this is God, Ichigo thought. A supreme existence whose mere name-radiation created the Soul King's very existence in our world.

After talking to other Soul Kings in the Council, Ichigo knew Mo Yu wasn't a native Soul King but an external supreme entity. Some Soul Kings even theorized that the concept of a "Soul King" was just a footprint of God's information in their world—which explained why God could possess a Soul King body so easily.

Ichigo kept these thoughts to himself.

Mo Yu ignored Ichigo's musings. He manipulated the Hand of God, carrying Ichigo higher and higher until, with a sudden tug, he pulled him out of the "Soul Reaper World-Bubble"!

Mo Yu focused. Taking a being directly into the Silver Sea could cause unknown issues.

As expected, Ichigo's body began to collapse. He turned flat, then started to shrink. But Ichigo sensed the problem and spontaneously adjusted his structure. He compressed himself into a fist-sized pitch-black ball of light, stopping the collapse.

"Ichigo Kurosaki," Mo Yu asked. "As the first man to set sail from the World Island, how do you feel?"

Ichigo's voice vibrated from the black sphere: "Sailing into the ocean without even a boat feels terrible. My existence is being diluted and stripped away, like salt dissolving in water. I'm adjusting my structure to compensate. Luckily, your power is insulating me. I can adapt. Purity seems to be working here, too. I'm beginning to understand..."

"Good. The trip isn't long. Adjust yourself. Try to look human when we arrive. If the locals see an 'Alien Invader' that's just a tiny ball of light, this turns into an urban comedy. That's not what I'm going for!"

Under the guidance of the Hand of God, Ichigo Kurosaki approached the Conan world, preparing for a manual cross-series crossover!

Meanwhile, inside the Conan world-bubble, battle was raging. But this battle had nothing to do with the "666 Kaiju" destroying Beika.

"Conan... I found you!"

A machete snatched from the roadside stopped just an inch from Conan's neck. Looking at Ran Mouri's blood-red eyes and her smile—a madness that surpassed even the word "yandere"—Conan felt one thing:

There is something seriously wrong with this new world line!
