On the 5th day sunny went to pay a visit to a certain sleeper. A sleeper that currently held the only memory shop in the area
Knocking on the door sunny opened it slightly after hearing a Welcome from inside - "Hello, I'm here to purchase some memories and I heard this is the best place"
Stev looked at sunny and so did Aiko who was standing beside a few luminous memories on a table left for show. Both of them felt fear when he entered despite sunny having control over his attributes
'Shit what is this guy doing here'
Aiko showed slightly less fear than Stev. One of her main skills was being a good judge. In her eyes sunny had no reason to do what he did yet it still helped her. If she knew of Sunnys years of experience she would have been shocked.
Coming out of their stupor Stev quickly greeted
"Hello sir star of darkness... May I ask what you're looking for?" - Stev's business mind got to work once he got over his shock her realized Sunny's strength and thus, he would naturally have money - 'He definitely has enough shards to purchase things'
"May I ask your name shop owner" - sunny said then his eyes looked at Aiko - "And you miss?"
"Ah my apologies it slipped my mind to introduce myself. My name is Stev, and this is Aiko she works in the gambling den and also here occasionally "
Sunny nodded.
"Hello sir Stev and miss Aiko I'll try to keep it short I'm looking for 3 things... An Armor and sword that can withstand flames as well as an... Antique piece for my home in the dark city"
'An antique... Wait... A home in the dark city?!'
"Ah apologies star..."
He didn't get to finish - "Sunny. Just call me Sunny by true name is quite long " - he said as if his true name was nothing special or rather a hindrance
"Okay... Sunny. I have a blade that can produce flames though at a small scale and naturally it can withstand heat. But I don't have an Armor and for the antique.... I'm not sure what you're looking for"
" What rank is the sword?"
"it's an ascended memory. Its enchantments allow it to produce flames so a small degree and as I said it would obviously need to withstand heat "
"So, it's unable to channel preexisting flames?"
"Uh... Sorry?"
Sunny walked his steps taking him to the mantle of the underworld posted on the wall as a decoration
"You see Mr. Stev the blade I'm requesting is for a beautiful angel. One who can create a divine flame. Her flames don't differentiate between weapon and foe so I need a blade that can channel her flame"
'Is he mad... Angel? Divine flame who the hell is he talking about'
"My apologies Mr. sta... I mean sunny. I don't have a memory with that quality"
"What a shame... Well anyways this Armor... May I know some details about it?"
"Oh, that Armor is useless. It's broken and can't be fixed without essence so I won't recommend it since us sleepers can't manipulate it ... But! it does have antique value" - his voice heightened at the end
Sunny smiled lightly at Stev's realization that sunny saw the antique value of hit. - "Exactly I want this one...how much?"
"Since it's already broken and you helped Aiko with the gambling debt... I can give it for free"
Aiko wanted to agree but sunny knew her true thoughts the thoughts of someone who's greed was on par with himself - 'Why is Stev giving up a chance for shards!? "
"Thank you, Stev, but I'd prefer if I could pay... How about 2 ascended soul shards"
They paused - "a...2 ascended... Shards" - Aiko's was practically drooling
"Here and also... If possible, I'd like you to keep a stock of Armor and weapon memories. As much as you can. I will return for it all"
" Sorry I can't do that... Business you know, people always need Armor here... " he was unable to finish
"I can place a deposit of sorts"
"w... What sort of deposit? "
Sunny flipped the bag of storage. Falling out of the bag was the 100 or so shards he got while hunting with Neph
"When I return, I will give you at least another 400 or more all awakened "
As if he did a complete 180 Stev took Sunny's hand - "of course, Mr. Sunny" - Stev was shaking Sunny's hand and had already transferred the mantle of the underworld.
And like that sunny got what was possibly the best Armor in existence created by the Nether himself.
sunny completed his task and walked through the halls of the bright castle greeting those he saw around him warmly creating an image of someone strong yet kind
he had not gotten very far from Stev's workshop. When a beautiful face came into view. A charming archer was walking with a bow in hand. It appeared to be close to breaking with chips and cracks in its frame
'This makes sense he is walking towards Steve after all' - sunny thought in his mind before stepping in front of his soon to be best friend.
"you're Kai, yes?"
Kai looked at him, his eyes warry after seeing the boy who killed a pathfinder on his first day here. And a boy who had a true name - "Yes, I am"
Sunny looked into the eyes of Kai. A slight struggle as he was significantly shorter still - "Kai I would like to make you an offer"
"What is it..." - Kai was worried. Was he going to ask for something crazy - 'That look in his eye....'
"You see Kai. As you know shards are an expensive resource and I see that old breaking bow so how about I make you an offer"
"What kind of offer Mr. sta...."
"My friends call me sunny Kai"
Kaks eyes widened slightly - 'friend?' - "Well sunny... What's the offer"
"I will give you 20 ascended soul shards right now. But I return when I need your help you will assist me?"
Kais eyes shook slightly. He was a fantastic archer but had little proficiency in battle at this specific time, so there would barely be a chance for him to help sunny at all
" I would also like to give you these as a token of friendship. Even if you don't accept the offer to later assist me"
'Everything... Everything he is saying is true' - "I accept"
"Perfect and also... I saw that glint in your eye so let me leave you with this. I chose you because you're an honest person, genuine and kind not because of any other reasons other than wanting your friendship. That's why I chose you"
Kai looked at him again. This time in a new light - 'He wants to be my friend... Just because I'm... Me not for some other reason " - "I'd be glad too sunny" - his voice was soft but happy
"Thanks Kai. Here. you. go" - Sunny said as he handed Kai the shards and left a few next to the little stand by the door
"See you soon Kai"
Sunny was slightly apologetic. He knew that Kai was probably targeted by those guys after his trip here to buy the memories that had caused him to be locked up in the well. and now he just became a bigger target.

It had been 6 days after sunny had told Nephis and Cassie that he was going to leave and few after he had completed his task of gathering memories and building a connection with Kai. As well as collecting the [Mantle of the Underworld] that was already fixed thanks to serpents' assistance
Leaving Day had come
Walking towards the entrance sunny fished around in his bag and took out 2 glistening awakened soul shards and handed it to Nephis and Cassie respectively.
"Take care while I'm gone and don't get killed"
He hugged them both this time. Cassie sobbing into his shoulder whilst Nephis stood still. Sunny paused a moment as her released the girls
"Cassie why did you give me the endless spring"
"I... We will be here in the castle, and it'll do you better"
Sunny looked at her his eyes grateful.
"Before I leave for the dark sea I will visit you. As I have said. I will bring you 2 gifts when I come"
Everyone around had seen their interaction so sunny took the opportunity - "don't worry you know I'll be fine, I just want to go and explore it's in my nature you know"
Everyone had it cemented. This boy is either crazy or strong. Probably both. Because no one would leave the safety of the castle for such a ridiculous reason
Sunny could have turned into a shadow, but he didn't want to show that ability just yet. So instead, he walked out the gates and left. Everyone around looking at the boy who killed a pathfinder. The boy who was the rumored lover of the Immortal flame's princess. The heir of the god of death.
Sunny made a single stop before he made his way back to the ruined cathedral
That stop was outside the camp of a certain huntress
" Effie it's sunny can you come out for a bit"
Effie opened the door to her makeshift abode and looked down at the petite boy.
"Hey doofus what's up"
Sunny looked at her. Enjoying the nostalgic feeling of that nickname before realizing that this time she had no reason to call him that. So why was she
"Why doofus?" - he questioned
"Because you traveled with 2 gorgeous babes and didn't make a move on either duh"
Sunnys face flushed. Before Effie could comment he spoke
"I have a proposal for you"
She looked at him. Her eyes shone with interest. She had called him into her tent. There were a few shards at the side with a furry Nightmare creatures pelt acting as a bed.
"When the time comes. And I ask you a favor you will aid me"
Effie had the opportunity to make a first joke right there, but his tone suggested this was not a time for that.
"What do I get in return"
Sunny took out the bag of holding. Right now, in the bag there was enough meat to feed Effie with her insatiable appetite for a year.
"I'll give you this storage memory. It has the ability to store an endless number of things and keep them fresh. Inside is enough food to last you a year. Even with your flaw"
"my flaw?"
"I guessed by how much you eat that it has to do with your flaw"
"I'm flattered with you checking me out sunny, but did I really give it away that easily. Not that I mind or anything It's not a secret here"
"don't flatter yourself Effie. My eyes are on a certain woman already. And yes. It was obvious. So do we have a deal or not?"
She looked at him. There was truly no reason to refuse
"You got yourself a deal shorty"
Like that sunny complained a bit about the name. Transferred the memory. And left. Even though she teased him about being her teddy bear and staying to sleep over.
Little did Effie know that the aid he would require is to charge against the bright lord. And usurp the thrown then proceed to fight thousands of nightmare creatures to escape this damn place
But hey. She Got good food out of it
