Years later, a child asked a question no one could answer.

"If the future isn't planned," she asked her teacher, "how do we know what to become?"

The teacher smiled, uncertain, and said the most honest thing she could.

"We don't."

Somewhere in the city, Aira watched a new market open—messy, local, alive. It would fail someday. That was part of the design.

In a quiet office filled with chalkboards and unfinished thoughts, Nysa erased an equation and left it unsolved. She liked it better that way.

And in a small theater that had never been famous, a woman stepped into the light and spoke words that had no guarantee of being remembered.

But they were true.

The future did not return to what it was supposed to be.

It became something else.

Something fragile.

Something unfinished.

Something human.

And that was enough.
